Perfect slave
Power driven motor brush makes it easy go on carpet and any other floors.
Very lightweight and you don't have to carry it with you so nothing to worry about weight.
Compared to others yes quiet and easy operation with remote.
Carpet and hard floor but does excellent on both !

Failed 2 times in 9 months
I would rate it higher as I m generally happy with its performance, navigation etc. It is not very loud, it travels ok, avoid corners and shows general good work. Nevertheless, it failed 2 times in 9 month and samsung has refused to replace the whole unit. We were told that each time they replaced both wheels. Bad design? I dont know.

Just extraordinary vacuum
I was sceptical on buying a robot vacuum. I had the opportunity to buy the Samsung powerbot at a good price, so i thought it was low risk. The unit is an engineering marvel, rarely gets stuck, and i mean rarely, does tiles very well and very good for carpet.
Suction is very good and can be controlled if needed. The vacuum will easily do 250sq metres of tiles on on charge, a little less on carpet

Great vacuum cleaner with some minor disadvantages
We have our Hugo now since a little over 2 months, and he faithfully does every day his job. All our floors are tiled, and in the bedrooms we have bamboo wooden floors, but it is amazing what doghair he picks up and cathair as we have both animals. He sometimes gets stuck (always under the pedals of the piano, so we put something in front of that.
Great is the remote to just point him to a dirty spot or for a short ride. Battery power is amazing, and it runs for over an hour before he finds himself his way back to the docking station.

re sometimes issues if he encounters a rug and tends to get stuck, we rather not leave him all alone at home doing his work, that is why I am happy not to have a WiFi version that i can switch on from wherever in the world. One other issue to consider is the height. many robots are less high and may run under the table or a cupboard, but Hugo is too tall for that. All in all a cleaner that i can recommend.

I'd Marry Him if I Could
Kevin is my favourite possession and I love him.
We are 3 kids, 2 dogs and 2 adults who resent cleaning and fight about it all the time. Was considering a few robotic vacs and chose this because of the warranty (10 years).
Each day we do a quick sweep of corners and edges into the centre of the kitchen floor then turn him whilst the kids pick up their junk upstairs. Don't bother with the sweep upstairs, just open all the doors and let Kev do his thang. He works like a champ and is very effective on dust and dog hair.
As a bonus Kev has taught the kids that picking up their dirty socks and lego is a good thing: they to love him and don't want him to die.
KEVIN HAS CHANGED OUR LIFE.
***update after 10 months use*** ...Read more
Would not be without him. Occasionally Kev struggles if a wad of plastic or paper gets stuck in his throat but I just turn him off and prise wad out with my fingers. We've been building a pool over winter and he's been used twice most days, working extra hard due to dogs confined to indoors and constant foul construction dust. Kevin is no longer shiny and I don't treat him very well (rarely wash dust filter) but he hasn't missed a beat. Love him.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Works great, gets stuck every now and then... and just broke down with 2 months of purchase
Pros :)
we have a double story house with tiled floor below and carpeted upper floor. We move the powerbot up and down on both surfaces to clean. it does a a commendable and very noticeable job on both surfaces.
I love it as it is great to clean floors very well.
The best outcome of buying this powerbot is that we dont have to vacuum the floors any more. However, You still need a normal vacuum cleaner to clean some corners or edges. overall we are very happy with what it does!!

Excellent, such a time saver
We purchased this item about 6 months just before our now 5 month old baby was born. This has been an absolute life saver with two indoor cats and many visitors coming and going to keep our floors feeling clean and tidy. I can't stand feeling dirt on the floor with bare feet.
We are disgusted how much dust and dirt this vacuum picks up even running daily the enormous dust bin is almost full. There is no way I have the time to vacuum everyday and I now question how much filth we were living in vaccumming weekly.
We were very apprehensive...Read more
on spending so much money on this item but we would do it a million times over we love it that much. I don't know what we would do with out and it's good know that the floors will clean when our baby is on the move. Best robot vacuum cleaner EVER!
Purchased the Powerbot approx. 2 months ago and I don't think I could live without it as we have white porcelain tiles and a chocolate Labrador who is inside most of the time.
We have quite a large 4 bedroom house and use the Powerbot every day on all of our tiled areas (kitchen, dining, living, entrance and hallways). It can be used on carpet also but I prefer to give the carpet a good vacuum once a week with our Dyson.
The Powerbot does an amazing job at cleaning the tiles every day and it is surprising how much dust & dog hair it collect...Read more

Very good device! Love it!
Very happy with our Samsung VR9200 robotic vacuum. Very quiet and works pretty good. I have mixture of hardwood floors and carpets in my apartment and vacuum does amazing job of navigating on all the different surfaces and around things. It takes one visit to the charging dock to vacuum approx. 120m2 of space.

Poor Navigation, Poor Programming, Good in Cleaning
I bought the unit on January 6,2016. Broke down today on Feb 4,2016 (less than a month). One of the drive wheels burned out. It's actually good in cleaning if it can find the docking station. 70% of the time it cannot find it. One problem with it is it gives up trying to find the docking station after 20minutes of looking even if the battery is still halfway. Very poor navigation specially if dark. Cleans half a room and goes to another room to clean half of it. Samsung app is useless (freezing) if you don't have a Samsung phone or tablet making the WIFI feature pointless. Gets stuck 50% of the time while cleaning. Buy elsewhere...

Great cleaning, poor navigation
Like another review here, our Powerbot VR9000 is unable to navigate our house. Our house is mostly hardwood and tiles with some rugs. It cleans the rugs much better than I expected. Over the last week, with many (12 or so) attempts, it has never cleaned the whole house. I do not expect it to clean edges or corners, but it seems to get confused and does not clean whole rooms, or does not clean the whole internal section of a room but does the edges, or ignores half of the house. It usually returns to base in a very non direct way and turns off r...Read more
ather than recharges and continues cleaning. it goes "off square" often and starts working on the diagonal. Our house is 150sqm (biggish), on one level but has high catherdral ceilings and parts of the house are not rectangular - rather rhomboid or parallelogram in shape. I wonder if these things have an effect. I have started it from different places in the house but that has not helped. I found the user manual unhelpful as it left too many of my questions (as I tried to make it navigate better) unanswered. I will be returning it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Life Changing!
The title says it all. This is the most incredible machine I've ever owned. We were in the market to purchase a new vacuum cleaner following our old faithful finally biting the dust. Initially, we were looking to get a Dyson after a lot of research, as I knew the majority of robot vacuum cleaners merely swept rather than actually sucked. However by accident I stumbled upon the Samsung Powerbot and fell in love. And by absolute fluke, we managed to get it heavily discounted at Harvey Norman just after Christmas.
The features are fantastic, and...Read more

Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
It does everything it says it can do and even a bit more. It even cleans over 'black' areas realising it is NOT a cliff edge. Being sonar means it finds it's way around a lot better and even back to the 'home' station for charging. It has a quiet mode and lasts for 45 minutes after and hours charge. We even bought one for the parents. We have named it but not saying what? Good luck!!

Must Have!
Amazing Performance, great suction, gets into all the corners..hardly ever misses a spot. Have both carpeted and tiled areas around 200sqm. Only downfall, due to the technology that stops Samsung falling off stairs does not vacuum black carpet, solve this with piece of tape over sensor. Still 10/10 Highly recommended!

Was Great To Start With...
At first the powerbot worked wonderfully, we were really amazed at how good it was. It had a few issues around table legs, it pushed our small coffee tables around and dining chairs. It likes to ram some furniture. I guess it's letting them know who's the new boss in town.
Then weird things started to happen, after a couple of uses. It started vacuuming diagonally and as it hit objects, it would turn around and keep going diagonally, missing large spaces. I stopped it, manually tried to put it back on track but for some reason, it just kept ...Read more
wanting to go diagonally. The next thing we noticed is that when put on auto, it would do a room and then for some reason decided that's all it was going to do and went back to it's dock (on full charge) and charged back up and stayed there. It's had some strange issue trying to dock but always eventually made it back there, except once where it had pushed the door to a bedroom shut and trapped itself inside. (all windows and doors to the house were closed, so no wind to close the door). The schedule is a bit useless for us, as we would like to schedule it for ever 3rd day or 2 days a week but you can only set a daily or individual time (not day).1 comment

Fantastic! This product actually improved our quality of life.
Fantastic product. It will take a few days to learn the layout of your house, but after that it's just set (the schedule) and forget! Every day we come home and we know it's vacuumed the entire house. The first few days were fun to watch it explore the house... kid loves it :) Amazing how it finds it way into spaces where it barely fits, then finds its way back home again. Suction is very good, and it's not actually that loud. Still need a stick vacuum for those areas it can't get to (behind door, window sil, etc.)

uum models on the market December 2015 and this was the best one, with the Neato models a close second. Choice Magazine also reviewed 10+ models, and this was the only one they recommended. I have seen a couple of negative reviews/comparisons on Youtube, but I was'nt convinced they were accurate or fair, more a case of using the wrong mode on the PowerBOT, and using the right mode on the brand they wanted to win! So far we've only had a couple of minor issues, where it stopped vacuuming and beeped a few times. (SEE UPDATE BELOW!) It hasn't done that since I cleaned the sensors. We also had to remove a very shaggy small rug that would trap it in an area, as it doesn't like going over it (too high), we just replaced it with a low-pile rug. Highly Recommended! Note: This review only applies to 9050 ($999 RRP) and 9250 ($1299 RRP) models. UPDATE: 10 days later, I came home and my poor robot has a broken leg :~(. I've been suspicious since it first ran that something was'nt quite right, as a few times its just stopped and beeped as if an error, but no error code or obstruction. Last few days I felt one motor was making a quiet whine. Today I got home and found it stopped up against a table, flashing C03 error (check right motor for obstruction). No obstruction, but I could smell something weird. I took it back to base, turned it on, and it went around in circles. The motor was burned out :(. I took it back to JBHIFI who issued me a replacement on the spot! +1 JBHIFI! No way I wanted a refund or a different model, this is a FANTASTIC machine and I suspect I just got unlucky. We'll see, the new one is charging up now.1 comment

Wow - Awesome!
We've had 'Sammy' our Samsung VR9200 Powerbot for a week now and she's brilliant! First of all understand that ANY robotic vacuum cleaner is not a substitute for a conventional vacuum cleaner as they can't clean stairs, behind the narrow gap of wide open doors (ie. behind the toilet door) nor very difficult/small nooks and crannies - it's simply an everyday vacuum cleaner which makes life a little easier and cleaner! Unfortunately we have a split level house so we have Sammy located on our main floor which is our main living areas - entry, kit...Read more
chen, dining, lounge, 2xhallways, TV room and laundry/toilet area. We've just had new French Oak timber floors laid throughout the house and when I first suggested to the wife a few weeks ago (prior to floor completion) about a robotic vacuum cleaner she was totally against it - odd since I'M the one that always sweeps and vacuums - so I bought it as a Christmas present for myself instead! Now that my wife has witnessed Sammy in action for a week she too just loves the Powerbot VR9200 and realises it was a great buy! The first couple of times - Sammy was still 'learning' our house layout - she couldn't return to the docking station on battery exhaustion - but from the 3rd go onwards she was just fine. During my research I've heard of many reviewers complaining about the noise of robotic vacuum cleaners (in general) but gee the 180Watt VR9200 is half as noisy as our regular Dyson vacuum cleaner - what do people expect - completely silent vacuum cleaners - perhaps they should stick to a quiet broom instead.. Sammy does a great job on our timber floors - only struggles on a line of tassels at either end of a large rug - which our regular Dyson dislikes too. (That awful rug is going anyways) We don't have any carpets so I can't give an opinion on the effectiveness of the VR9200 on carpets - but on that large rug (3.5mx2.5m) it cleans it does very well including the dog hair. It's really interesting to watch Sammy approach a difficult obstacle to clean - when she can't clean it from a simplistic angle she stops, momentarily thinks, then cleverly revises her angle/s of attack and method then adjusts and angles in repeatedly and deftly from another - very clever! As Sammy has so many sensors she doesn't rudely 'bump' into obstacles but gently approaches within mm of them and skirts around them - including the dog sleeping on the floor! Haven't used the included Virtual Guard unit yet. We've programmed Sammy to switch on at 6:00am everyday and she generally takes about 45mins to clean (medium power) however she can last up to 70mins on medium power (medium power is quite ample for cleaning the timber floors) - before automatically retiring to her dock when the battery becomes low. If at any time you've 'had enough' of her cleaning you can just push the 'home' button on the remote and she will power down and quietly return to the dock. In doing my pre-purchase research the main selling point for me was the huge 180Watts of power of the VR9200 compared to the power of other robotic cleaners. The VR9200 can also be started/controlled remotely (remotely being away from home) through your mobile phone - after installing the free SmartHome app - a really cool feature! We bought Sammy (VR9200 PowerBot) from Harvey Norman for $1499.00 which is $300 cheaper than it was a month ago - we also took up the offer of the extended warranty for additional cost. GREAT little unit - although this is the only robotic vacuum cleaner we've ever bought so we've got nothing to compare it with :)5 comments

r on the base of each unit) The Samsung VR9200 is a massive 180Watts - all the other brands that I looked at (I looked at 12 of various brands/models) were significantly lower in power, in fact the next closest of all those I saw was only 70Watts - with some others rated at a measly 30Watts! So the 180Watts rated power of the Samsung VR9200 is some significant sucking 'grunt' while most of the others are mearly toys! Note: Stores seem to have it on the shelf as the VR9200 but the precise model number in all cases on the base of the unit is actually the VR9250 (180Watts). Also there are other similar looking model Samsungs but with the number starting as VR90xx - - note that these are the lower powered 70Watt units.Update: Have now had this awesome little unit for 6months. Had been looking at robot vacuum cleaners for a couple of months and was hesitant about forking out $1500 for something that does a chore I could do myself. However, Myer recently reduced the price of these to $900, but unfortunately they ran out of stock within a few hours. air legs and only got stuck once in a whole 60 minute cycle. On Auto mode, it follows some sort of linear pattern of cleaning and although it didn't always appear logical to me, it didn't miss a spot throughout the course of the clean. The Point Clean function is great for directing it to trouble spots - and also great to chase the dog with!. On that note, our Jack Russell sheds so much hair and our 5 month old is about to start crawling, so keeping on top of the dog hair was important. The Powerbot does an amazing job at picking up pet hair and really fine dust, much better than our Dyson seemed to. It didn't have any trouble transitioning from our tiles to carpet to wood and cleaned each of them pretty well. Obviously the hard surfaces are easier to clean, but I even think it did a thorough job on the carpet. It took about an hour to clean the four main living areas before it ran out of juice. It's charging now and then I'll see if it can navigate itself down the hallways and into the bedrooms - apparently it's not meant to be able to do this, but I don't see why it couldn't. The noise isn't terrible (quieter than our Dyson), but I wouldn't want to have it on while I was sleeping. This Powerbot has surprised me in it's intuitive navigation, thorough cleaning and list of features. Plus, my wife likes things clean and I like technology, so it was the perfect combined Christmas present!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love It! Very Surprised At Just How Good And How Quiet It Is. Expensive But Worth It.
We previously had one of the early model Roomba machines and while it was ok, it was very dumb and VERY loud. It would do the same spot 30 times and other spots not at all. We debated spending this much on a robot vacuum cleaner (especially as there were no reviews of this brand new model) but as we both work full-time and we have 2 inside dogs, we generally need to vacuum every day.
So we took a chance and very pleased to say we love it. It is so quiet especially so on the quiet mode, can still watch tv with it on the quiet mode. Powerful ...Read more
mode is of course much louder but not ear piercingly so. It is much cleverer than our Roomba. It logically moves about the room and knows when it is finished and then moves on to the next area. It does better than we thought it would with the dog hair on the carpet. Of course it's nowhere near as good as properly vacuuming with our Dyson but on a day to day basis it is perfect. Love being able to control it from our mobile phones, definitely a worthwhile feature and it just seems to be learning more and more as time goes on about the layout of our house. It also doesn't bash into walls like our Roomba did. That would crash into things and that was how it worked out there was something there. This can see it and stops before the object, even when our dog is lying in its path. Overall very happy with our purchase and it's only been a week!Similar opinion? Extremely happy with this purchase
The saleswoman warned us that any robot vacuums were meant to be second vacuums, but either I was really bad at manual vacuuming or my manual vacuum was crap (probably the latter). This robot keeps our house fur free all week long (we have a cat) and it does a pretty good job even on carpets. I'd say that on hard floors it's 10/10 and carpets is 7/10 with cat hair, but that's good enough for me, I can live with doing a manual vacuuming every 2 weeks on the bedroom carpet.
We have a fairly large house so the workload at home has been reduced...Read more
dramatically. We set the vacuum on AUTO and it cleans half the house until it runs out of battery (about 60 min), it automatically goes back to the charging station and after the battery is full again it continues cleaning the rest of the house, once it's finished it goes back to charging station and goes into stand-by mode. It also comes with one virtual wall, but we haven't used it yet. It's a little noisier than the regular robot vacuum, but also cleans better (I'm guessing it has more suction power). It's really easy to clean and it comes with one extra filter. It used to take me about 40 to 60 min for a proper vacuuming at home, now the robot does it by itself and does a really really good job, I'm very happy with it and its performance is much better than I had expected. It's a luxury item, but honestly it's probably on of the best $1100 I've ever spent.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
