Has changed our lives!
This is our first robot vac. We have two dogs, one is a german shep and sheds a LOT of fur. We decided to get the vac mostly because of the fur, I was sick of coming home and having to worry about it every single day at the worse times when she was shedding the most. Our normal vac has bags and was getting too expensive buying them as we were using them so quickly. We chose this model because we like samsung, and this particular model had the largest capacity. We thought about going with the self emptying samsung model, but this one was cheaper...Read more
and we figured the larger bin would be just as good as the self emptying one. We also really liked that this model has suction as well as the sweepers. We have a largish house with mostly tiles, but the bedrooms, lounge and study are carpeted. We don't use our spare bedrooms much so shut them off and don't let the vac go down there as there isn't much point. It works great on both tiles and carpets. We use the invisible wall for our study if we don't want it to go in there and that works well. We find that the bin does fill up quickly and we sometimes needs to empty it more than once (mostly someone has been home with it since we bought it, but that is changing soon). But that is due to the fur, it does a great job at collecting all the dirt/dust that is around that we can't see. It has amazed me with how much stuff is on the floor I didn't know about! We set the timer for each day and that works great and if we don't want it to vac we just turn the power off. The remote works well if it has missed a spot, we use the pointer to guide it. It is pretty good with coverage of the house, sometimes it decides it has finished when it has only done half the area we want it to do, but that doesn't really bother us we just start it up again from the other end of the house when we get home or the next day. Sometime it gets lost and can't find it's way home, but again that doesn't really bother us, it doesn't happen all the time. Overall with navigating we are pretty happy with it. The only bad thing I would say is that with the invisible wall device, the battery cover wouldn't stay closed so we had to tape it shut, but that doesn't affect how it works at all.Similar opinion? First robotic that I have owned which WORKS.
All the other robotic vacuum cleaners I have owned have worked well on hard floors but have done little more than sweep the surface of carpets. The Samsung VR 9000 works really well on carpet. It has good quality beater brushes and a strong vacuum action which all the others lack. It works really, really well. The downside is the price. But when a robotic vacuum cleaner does the job so well, it's worth the money if you can afford it. We picked one up for 30% off at a closing down sale so this made the deal too tempting. Haven't regretted the decision. I would always recommend the extended warranty, though.

Amazed how this little vacuum can collect
First robot we have had and Sam does a great job of cleaning around the open plan home we have. She/he picks up from the polished timber flooring and carpet very well. It can get lost though if you have taken she/he from the routine.
From the outset the canister filled with dust until a few runs did away with residuals. Yes, prefer minimal housework, but the other vacuum is a good one that is supposed to clean well.

clone to collect the dust and sweepings. It seldom hits into anything as the sensors seem to adequately drive it. That doesn't mean to say it doesn't get into strife though, the taper of the kitchen stool bases can leave it humping like a small dog for a few seconds. A camera pointing upwards is supposed to be the guide from the ceiling edges and it prefers to run lengthways up and down timber flooring, though no issues with tiles. Have shut it in a bathroom for instance, and after the required minutes, cleaning behind the door and wherever it can reach, it will shut down and await collection. The month we have had Sam has provided less dust about the floors, flies that are swallowed up and some entertainment. The noise factor though from the vacuum fan can mean it is best done when we aren't here! I have vacuumed past the bedroom door my wife has been sleepingSimilar opinion?
