Every time I have called TPG, which is infrequent, service is fast and effective. Superb internet provider, the best. Always recommend to friends and family. Price is competitive and value or money

Good if there are no issues, terrible if there are

published

We've had TPG for over a decade. Things were usually smooth and things do get a little slower during peak times but that's okay. What made us stop though was when our internet connection broke after a storm and we had 6+ months with no internet connection. It took hours of waiting in phone queues to resolve the issue and the only compensationwe receivedwas a $20 TPG sim card thatwe couldnot activateas we had broadband only account.
So TPG is good if you can guarantee that no issues will happen with your connection because if something does
s happen they won't be there to help

Poor technical support

published

Poor technical support and aweful to deal with, save yourself money any time and go with a more reliable company like Aussie Broadband.

This company is painful to deal with and I have had better experience and service with Aussie Broadband, Telstra and even Optus!

Worst service ever. It’s been 13 days now and I still don’t have the internet. We’ve spoken to 15 different people and no one is able to solve this issue and no one is calling us back. You guys are literally the worst at customer service ever.

DO NOT PURCHASE A PLAN WITH TPG!!!!

published

Most horrible service and connection we have ever been given. Our internet would not stop disconnecting so we opened a ticket for a technician to come to our home and fix it. He came and fixed it perfectly, it was working for one day until i got a call from TPG asking if they can cancel our ticket and if the internet was working again. we said yes and the moment they cancelled the ticket, the connected went back to nothing. Will be changing to Telstra. If you purchase a plan with TPG, you’re willing to throw away money for nothing.

Never tpg again

published

I switched from tpg ADSL to belong nbn. Finished my contract with tpg years ago but not only are they demanding a 30 days notice fee but they also cut my pre paid ADSL by nearly 2 weeks when I told them I was leaving them. They actually owe me money but have sent me a bill. Bad customer service the whole time I was with them. Never tpg.

Stay Away... 0/100 customer service random disruption of service

published

We have a business line and ADSL with this company, the business line stopped working on 21 December 2020. It still does not work. Have called them 5-6 times each day - staying on hold, as this number is our primary contact, we are now losing business to the extent that we may need to apply for a loan. Their assistance does not work, you get transferred an average of 6 times on each call, you have to reidentify yourselves each time and no one knows anything.

Even Telstra is better, this used to be a good company a decade ago but as its got bigger everything internal appears to have fallen apart.

Bad customer service

published

Regardless of how good or bad the internet service is with this company, I would avoid them. The minute you have a customer service issue that requires a human to help it becomes impossible. They don’t seem to keep case files so every time you call you will have to explain your situation from scratch. I had to call seven time’s about one issue. I’m currently trying to get out of this company and get this it’s going to take a month to cancel, even though I’m no longer using their service they want to extract another payment. Just don’t is my advice.

Disconnected ADSL to lure me into NBN

published

For month or so I have been hassled with phone calls from TPG to arrange switch for NBN. Reading about NBN how bad it is I have been reluctant to go ahead with it. And on the 16-th of December my internet stopped working and home phone went dead. TPG says it is all good, but I have had enough of their crap and went to contract with another internet provider. They still want to fix the connection but I am not interested.
I do not deal with people who lie to me and in order to save mine and their time I decided to terminate TPG service.

Cheap is not always the best

published

Have 2 ADSL connections, have been with them for over 10 years, ADSL2 speeds that give you a max of 4mbps downloads, and now they have ported my business phone number to some company called Symbio that I haven't even heard of - its been 3 days of lost business, and they just transfer me to different departments, now if only someone there could get their finger out.....will give it another day then cancel all their connections. Nothing to lose now

Appalling communication

Installation taking far too long. Those spoken to give different information. Passed from one section to another. Massive wait times and everything has to be repeated. No resolution. Don’t seem interested in providing real assistance.
