Different to others
I was looking to change provider's for a while(fttp). I found Launtel on product Review and went through the process and signed up. They are different because they are pay as you go you can even pause your service if you go away or just can't afford for a while. I'm on 50/20 $2.08 per day at sign up was on special. So far service has been very good. Ping 34ms down 45 up 18 on wifi haven't tested on ethernal cable. I had been with My Republic on nbn for over 2 years before there service became hopeless.

Amazing. I have no words for the brilliant service I have received. After having the most minimal service in over 3 years I thought I would try one more time. I registered a request on the weekend and was answered within 30 minutes. I then had Jules contact me late one evening and what she do for me no other provider has been able to achieve ever! I work from home and rely heavily on internet. Within 12 hours Jules had solved the issue and then talked me through everything I had to do. Currently on the free trial having churned from Superloop, thought I’d give Launtel a try after reading the reviews here. Churning took about 5 hours, I queried this via Facebook then 10 minutes later I was on. I was on the 100/40 plan which I getting over 100Mbps. Decided to switch over to the 50/20 plan to see if this plan suited our family but switching to the new plan took 5 days as Vocus manually changes the plans. Looking forward when the Chatswood NSW POI is linked directly with Launtel. Was told for my situation that if there were any p...lan changes to allow for a day for it to be processed by Vocus. I’m now on the 50/20 plan and getting over 50Mbps.There was a major outage with Vocus last week and was kept updated by Launtel via its Facebook page. Whilst I’ve had some hiccups during my trial Launtel has always responded to my queries and have bent over backwards to get things resolved. Superloop has an Australian support team but always difficult to get hold of them and when there was an outage, Superloop could see no problems at their end or blame NBN which doesn’t help my situation. I just want things fixed. Launtel’s customer service and support is the best I’ve come across. I’ve been with TPG ADSL, Optus cable and Superloop NBN. If you have a problem Launtel has live chat, Facebook and Messenger. Launtel sent me a messenger chat at 11pm at night asking if my problems have been resolved. Which ISP does that! Well done Launtel, I’ll be staying with you.

Fantastic customer service.
I live in Perth and had been with Kogan but was having problems with my NBN connection and I was unable to contact Kogan at all being left waiting 3 times for over an hour each time with no one answering.
So I was looking to change and used the chat feature on the website Launtel has to contact them and got a response within a minute! Liam and James helped me set up an account with them and helped troubleshoot the issue I had been having with my connection.

Initial connection was simple after changing from another provider. Really enjoy using the pause feature Had an issue after changing to a static IP, but this was resolved by Damian after a bit of troubleshooting. No reading from set responses here. So nice to have a company that sticks with an issue to try and get it resolved. Highly recommend these guys.
Simply the Best ISP
Simply the best ISP I've had to deal with and so thrilled to have found them. Service was up and running in no time with a free trial. Had some initial issues with NBN and Launtel tech support got this sorted promptly, and re-instated the free trial as I hadn't been able to use it until the NBN connection was fixed. The best thing is that I can pause the service when it's not needed, which is perfect as I alternate between home and our weekender. Would highly recommended Launtel to anyone looking for a flexible, reliable and responsive service. I like that they are a local Tassie small business too.
Terrible customer service
Put in an application for a FTTP residence. Received a response after 2 days, and replied to the email (as requested). Nil response to that after 4 days, so I sent another reply. No response received ever.
Terrible customer service, it's a shame considering the other reviews.

Hi Launtel, what's the NBN connectivity in Darwin?
Hi Yakub, Darwin is one of our directly connected areas so we can provision services quickly etc.
However we don't have any peering in Darwin (very few providers do) and instead backhaul it to Sydney first. This is not an issue for most people because 90% of Australian content comes from Sydney anyway. However if you are talking to a server in Darwin (like your office), the latency would be high.
The other thing to watch is that you should be careful doing speedtests over wifi in Darwin unless you know the packet loss is really low due to the high latency to Sydney.
We have access to Darwin through the Vocus network.
The technology type depends on your address, if you pop your address into: residential.launtel.net.au/residential/

I got told my bill will be monthly or I can change it on my account to monthly can't see how you can do it
We don't bill monthly however you can change your recharge amount to be monthly.
In the portal at under "My Account" and then "Payment Details" you can set an auto recharge amount and a minimum balance.
That way if you put $65 in the account and tell it the minimum balance is $3 it will recharge automatically every month.
