not as good as Weet Bix
Uncle Toby's definitely not the best even with hot milk they were hard. I returned to store. I will stay with Weet Bix, much better. But both state 99% Australian product?
Purchased at Woolworths Physical store for $3.
Cost cutting?
It's seems that the latest batches of Vita Brits have undergone some changes for the worst. They have stopped sealing the plastic bag that they come in causing the wheat to become hard as a rock and also tasteless. The size of the wheat biscuits have also shrunk. I can only imagine they have done this to save money.
Purchased in April 2021 at Woolworths for $5.
New Vita Brits are disgusting
Uncle Toby’s Vita Brits seem to have had a recipe change, and a reduction in the size, texture and taste of their cereal. Another example of a business putting profits ahead of customer loyalty. Maybe it’s time to switch to the competitor in the market place.

Changed the formula
Very disappointing. Did some googling and looks like they’ve stopped making vitabrits and outsourced to new manufacturer. Such a shame. I guess I’ll switch to weatbix. 20 years of vitabrits finished.

Very disappointed
I have been eating Vitabrits for years, but the last couple of packets were disgusting! I am diabetic and need a low sugar breakfast cereal and vitabrits used to fit the bill. However the last two packets were not sealed inside, were very dry and brittle. I threw out the first packet thinking it was an aberration, but no, the latest packet is the same. Come on Uncle Tobys, lift your game!
Purchased in March 2021 at Coles Supermarkets for $5.
Why have they changed?
I have been eating Vita Brits all my life. I am 55 years of age. On purchasing a new box of my favorite cereal l noticed a huge change in the taste and texture of the Brits. They do not mix as well as they used to. And have a different taste and smell. The only thing that is an improvement is the packaging and that it easier to open. My question is WHY, WHY, WHY have you changed the recipe and why is it not stated on the pack? Very disappointing for a life long supporter of this product.
Purchased in February 2021.
Hate the change
I have eaten vita brits for years and loved them but the changes made to them has not been successful. Not enjoying them at all. There is a awful after taste in my mouth after eating them
Purchased in February 2021 for $5.

A change for the worse
I have been eating Vita Brits almost every morning for 20-30 years. My favourite cereal.
New Vita Brits are a disappointing change.
Smaller, more compacted, so milk can't penetrate, resulting in flaky, dry and far worse breakfast than previously.
Gone from being far better than weetbix to now virtually indistinguishable.
The picture on the front of the box still shows the old Vita Brits, not what is now inside the box. Bait and switch?
May as well buy home brand wheat biscuits now, as they taste about the same. Bleah.
Didn't they do any consume...

No Longer THE Australian Breakfast
Comparison of old to "THE revised" product:
Manufacture location and ingredients now unknown:
No longer ".....made in our factory along the banks of the Murray River ...."
No longer "Made in Australia from at least 99% Australian ingredients".
(Refer to Original and "THE revised" package information.)
Nutrition Information:
"THE revised" product taste is not the same, leaves an undesirable taste in the mouth. The chemistry of the "fine" tuning of "THE revised" product Nutrition Information may be the cause.

Why not listen to customers first?
It’s disappointing that a they have changed the product without communicating anything about the change. What is more disappointing is that the product is no longer what we’ve come to know and love.
It’s sad that this has happened either in the pursuit of financial gain or stemming financial losses when it seems like this benefit may not be realised because less people will buy them.
Why not bring your customers with you on this journey of change?

Not favorite anymore
Changed the recipe and not sealing the plastic bag they come in has done it for me. Once a go to cereal for me has dropped down the list. UT why did you do this?

Questions & Answers
just bought 2 packets of 1kg vita brits, very long time consumer, more than 40 years. Noticed boxes are different one is noticebly taller, this made me curious, so purchased both. Have only opened smaller box and have noticed that the taste is different, reading labels of ingredients are very similar although the smaller shaped box makes mention of lupins. other box does not, what is going on, regards Chris.
WHY WHY WHY!! have they changed them, and subsequently killed their market.
It seems your decision to source vitabrits overseas is profit driven. I believe your sales will go through the floor as the taste which is nothing like I have been eating for 50 years will become a massive liability. I wouldn’t be surprised that you will either be forced to sell the brand possibly within 12 months if anyone will buy it or It will disappear from the shelves.
Because there has been so much criticism would you consider reverting back to “made in Australia from Australian produce” even if you need to sell it off to another manufacturer? Currently sourcing alternate breakfast serial.
