Very happy with our Ventis system

published

Our Sydney inner west double brick semi detached home is south facing so lack of sunlight coming in, coldness in winter, dampness and poor ventilation caused mould to grow on the ceilings, on furniture and my son would constantly have watery eyes and runny nose. I heard about Ventis from a neighbour and we got our ventis installed about 3 years ago. We cleaned the mould away for the last time when the ventis system was switched on and it hasn’t come back since. My son’s allergies calmed down, no more watery eyes or constant runny nose. We also loved the added bonus in winter for reduced need to use out heaters and summer reduced use of AC. Very happy with our Ventis. has made our home so much more comfortable all year round.

Fantastic unit i would give 10 stars

Love my Ventis.

published

I have had the Ventis Filtration System working in my home for 12 months now. What attracted me to having it installed was the promise of better air quality, dust and mould reduction and overall a more energy efficient home. My two boys suffered badly from hayfever on a daily basis and as soon as the Ventis was introduced, the hayfever had disappeared.
I am so impressed with the Ventis Filtration System that I have no hesitation in recommending it if you desire a more cleaner, fresher, softer air quality in your home.
Love my Ventis. You will too.

Efficient air control

published

Since installing the Ventis system we find our home stays cooler in summer thereby reducing our need for air conditioning & in winter the house is degrees warmer than the outside temperature. It is very quiet & delivers exactly what is promised. We couldn’t live without it.

It helped my family

published

I researched for something to help reduce mould in our house as it was becoming rampant and we had the system installed 4 years ago. We have minimal mould now. And all I can say is it helped my sons asthma helped with my kidney issues and removed all condensation from the windows.

Mould is terribly bad for your health and anything that can help reduce or remove is worth the money and the noise.

I am very satisfied and yes it can be noisy and sometimes cold but these are a very small price to pay for your health.

Not perfect for everyone

published

Have had our Ventis system for nearly a year. While it was a benefit in winter, it was of no use in summer. We also had an issue with the odd mouse in the roof, for which we put out baits. The smell from decomposing mouse is not something I particularly like circulating around the house. So they now have filters that remove odor. Great! Or so I thought until I found out the price! $191.40! There must be someone out there who does 'non genuine' filters for Ventis systems. They do it for non genuine parts for just about everything else. Why not these filters? I have looked for hours on the internet without success. Surely a monopoly on such a thing is illegal.

This is stupid!!

published

I bought a home with this stupid system.. it is noisy and I can’t turn the frigging thing off... we have fans going 24/7 and we can’t sleep. Due to public holidays we can’t get in touch with anyone. Makes no difference to cool/heat. Absolutely no difference in air quality and yes we have mould. Waste of money and nothing but drama. Beware.

No good in a cold Climate

published

Sales men were very pushy with the product, that did put me off. But thought the concept was good, but...
The system is not suitable for the Canberra climate as it does not get warm enough in the roof space in winter.
My house is well sealed and feel the system can not push enough air in to be useful even in spring and Autumn
I have closed off the system, as I was losing more heat than gaining through the vents, and turned it off the power point.
Replacement filter price is over the top.
Maybe better for coastal areas where it does not get cold or need the air flow to help stop mold.
For me a total waste of a lot of money.........

Will be putting Ventis in my next house

Love the VentIs. Has stopped mould growing throughout the house. Has stopped major condensation issues. It was so bad we would grow moss on window sills. My sons asthma has improved as has my hay fever. Would recommend this to anyone with mould and condensation or health problems to get one. We are moving soon but I will be getting it installed at my new house as well.

Ventis really helps with our mould problem

Terrible buy aircon don’t waste your money

published

I brought a ventis system just before Xmas 2016 the company went into receivership and the system stopped working took awhile to make contact after that but I replaced the fan box at my own expense which I was advised was faulty, now it never has worked properly at the start! It's out now I paid $5000 for this system and $3000. For my old installation in roof to be replaced because of the smell great idea if it worked ! I would recommend you don’t buy this product I’m having to go to the department of fair trade I really want it removed please don’t waste your time!

Very Happy

published

A few years ago we had a few systems installed as we have a large multi level home where one was not enough.

The Ventis works best on days of the year where you have large variations of temerature between the outdoors, your roof cavity and inside your home.

Although in summer and winter it has some benefit, we find the largest benefit is during Spring and Autumn when you have warm days and cool nights. Having fresh cool clean air pumped into the house is very nice helps us all sleep. It also means we don't use the air-con during this time reducing bills for this periods.

In summer it maily just pumps hot air from the roof space outside and in winter pumps warm air from the roof space into the home.

Great Product, makes your home feel fresh and comfortable

published

We've had a Ventis for 2 years and couldn't be happier. It takes the chill off the air in the winter and cools our home in summer. We'd estimate that we have reduced using our air conditioner by 50%. It is a great product and every home should have one.

Questions & Answers

Hi, I am in a house that is next to a slight noisy road. We keep windows shut most of the time and would like something to draw in fresh air from outside without opening the windows. Is Ventis going to be helpful for this purpose? Have a few questions appreciate if someone could answer.
- Since the attic is very hot in summer, is the hot air going to be taken into the house and make it hot?
- What is the electricity consumption for a Ventis system. Is it possible to program it to run on a particular time every day?
- How often does a filter last(e. g. how many processing hours etc.) and how much is it to change it?
- What is a rough cost of the system? Understand every house is different, are we looking at a few thousands or a lot more?
thanks Wayne

Ventis
VentisVentis

Hi Wayne,
Yes ventis can give you fresh air without opening the windows. In summer it runs at night because of the heat in the roof during the day. And in winter it runs at night. Its temperature controlled. It runs a 100kw fan so its about $10 per month. The filter needs to be changed every 12-15 months depending on running hours. It starts at $4500. Please feel free to email us on [email protected] if you need further information.

Pooran.asked

I had my filter changed and was away for a short while. On returning, we realised that the panel stated Fault #115- Damper not closed. Would this have anything to do at all with fact that the filter was changed and the Fault occured. I was informed by David at Chatswood that it was going to cost me $99, just to front up! Is that fair?

Hi Pooran. We would have to determine why the fault is happening. The fault is most likely nothing to do with the filter change but if we do find that it is an related fault of course you wont get charged the call out fee. I can see your service is booked on 24/1/20, our electrician will be out to look at your system.

Help! Our house has filled up with smoke from the bush fires. Only way for smoke to enter is through the Ventis vents. What can we do - vents don't close!

Hi Linda, I'm sorry to hear that you are in an area with excessive smoke.
Please make sure your Ventis is switched off. The smell will be in the house but no particles will be able to by pass the filter.

Thanks Scott. It is off but we still have a smoke haze throughout the house. I've plugged up some of the vents with tea towels for now.

Smoke can enter via down lights, the space around them... tape them over. Through gaps around doors, poorly sealing around windows... through extraction fans that are not piped through the roof... If extraction fans are run on maximum they will draw smoke into your house through any crack or crevice
Hope this helps
Regards Michael
