I cannot rave about this tour enough!! Our tour guide, Jasvir Surana (Jess!) attended to our every need. His knowledge, passion and commitment to his job was outstanding! Wonders of China tour
In October 2022 we headed to China for the Wendy Wu Wonders of China tour. Our tour guide was Kai Ning.
Beijing was the start of our wonderful China adventure. The itinerary covered so many different attractions and Kai was always there to share his love and knowledge of China.
Kai was always organised and kept us on track so we got the most out of our holiday.
Philip and I would like to say a big thank you to Kai and our fellow travellers for the 16 days of travel, stories and laughs.

Jewels of Japan
Recently returned from the Jewels of Japan tour. This was our first Wendy Wu tour, and we were very impressed by the whole experience which certainly exceeded our expectations. We had an excellent tour guide and everything was so well organised, and were looked after right from the time we arrived at the airport until we checked in at the airport at the end of the tour. China The Big One October 2022
Just want to start by saying I'd be considered a younger than usual traveller (Partner and I are in our mid 30's).
As for this tour - wow - it was absolutely fantastic and a real eye opener. We went in not really knowing a thing about China other then the obvious landmarks and now I honestly can't wait to go back for another trip!

Golden Triangle India
A great taster to introduce you to India. Tour communication was great & our guide Jitinder Singh was very approachable & informative. As a solo traveler I found the tour to be enjoyable although a little rushed at times. Would possibly be slightly better over an extra two days but overall I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to go to India & not have to stress about safety etc.

My husband and I recently returned from the Wendy Wu China & Tibet Discovery Tour in September 2022. We booked through the Wendy Wu Travel Agency in Sydney who were very helpful in our planning. We were able to purchase the land content only as we planned to arrive a few days earlier than the start of the tour.

Delhi to Mumbai - first time for this tour to run.
We booked this tour in October 2018 at the Canberra Travel Expo. This is our fifth Wendy Wu tour so from an organisational point of view we knew what to expect. Excellent meeting and transfer at Delhi Airport at 1 am, contacted by our guide first thing next morning, and apart from 1 very minor hitch it all ran like clockwork.
The guide Mr Sayed Hassan was excellent having a masters degree in Indian History we soo learnt all the nuances of the Hindu and Buddhist religion.

Grand Tour of China
The tour covered everything you are likely to want to see on a first visit to China - Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors, Summer Garden, the Giant Pandas, Yangtze River and a great deal more. erful eating with the local travellers. Travelling on bullet trains and by air worked very well. Some of the coach legs were long but China is a big country - to be expected! Our tour guide, Ian, was fantastic. We arrived at midnight and he was there on arrival and was waiting for a few people coming later. One of our tour group needed to be hospitalised. Ian was either there at their bedside or helping them make sense of the Chinese health system. Ian, our local guide and others from Wendy Wu kept the tour operating with precision. Ian's caring nature extended to leading those who wanted to participate in walks around the cities we visited - we got to catch a local bus and the underground train network - it felt like we were 'locals'. Wendy Wu like to talk about a 'family' of fellow travellers - Ian made us feel like a family. Ian's language skills in Mandarin and English were great - we got to learn from him and he was keen to understand Aussie, Kiwi and British culture. Outside Beijing and Shanghai, there are not a lot of people who can understand let alone speak English so having a guide proficient in Mandarin is essential. We'd highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants to get a very comfortable but comprehensive experience of China.1 comment

Disgusted....I took my almost 79 year old mother on the Wendy Wu Jewels if Japan tour only to come home with bed bug bites. My left arm had 33, my face 11 then I stopped counting. I sent the travel agent photos and an email asking for Wendy Wu to investigate. The travel agent called me to say my information had been passed onto Wendy Wu and someone would contact me direct. Still waiting almost 2 weeks later.

Wonders of China Tour Sept 2022. This tour was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. Our Guide was excellent, very attentive checking in with each tour member to ensure our accomodation, and the food was to our liking. Our National Guide and local guides for each city were all very knowledgeable, helpful and passionate about their country. We where told in writing about the tipping amount that would be collected when we arrived in China, before we left Australia. We where also told about additional tours that would be available. for each tour that we had already been booked for it ( a sales tactic) but did confirm before for each one if we wanted to attend. We only did 1 of the optional tours and told the guide we would not be attending the others. They did ask again to confirm but we said no and were not pressured again. The major shopping opportunities we where provided by Wendy Wu as part of the tour accepted credit card. If you ventured out to shop in the markets cash was required. All hotels had WiFi and we where able to use whats app and access facebook. Mobile phone service was excellent in all areas.1 comment

We recently completed a magnificent 17 day tour of China with Wendy Wu. We flew from Melbourne to Beijing and travelled through China ending up in Shanghai before our flight home. Trip was enjoyable!
My friend and I just returned from the 26day, Grand Tour of China.
We enjoyed it very much as our tour guide Lee made the trip enjoyable in spite of two disruptive people.
Lee handled each situation with tact and professionalism every time an issue came up.
We were taken aback by the number of optional tours that were 'highly recommended' and expected to take.

Great Tour
We have just returned from our 22 day trip to China and what a good time we had,20 in our group and Cathy our guide went over and above to make sure we all got the best from our tour, everything was explained perfectly and the extra things (like a birthday cake and finding a pharmacy ) made the tour a wonderful experience.

I have just arrived home from a fabulous 22day Tour of China....Magnificent China. Which was amazing. Our tour guide CiCi was just fantastic. She bent over backwards so that we enjoyed our journey through China which we did. She always was there....explaining each of the different dishes that we had at meals (always plenty to eat). Exceeded expectations
Just returned from 16 day Cities of the Orient tour of China. We were lucky to have a small group of 12 people all from Australia and U.K. a big shout out to our tour leader Garry. We certainly became "Garry's family" and stuck together like sticky rice. Gary was instrumental in making this tour so wonderful for us all. He was very professional and so informative. We learned so much of Chinese history. We were very impressed with China, how clean it was and how proud its people are. Will definitely consider Weny Wu for future adventures. Incredible India - Golden Triangle
Returned home on Monday from Golden Triangle Tour - it was amazing I enjoyed every day. The tour of the Taj Mahal far exceeded my expectations. It is an experience I will never forget. Our group of 24 were all friendly. Our tour guide Ajay was excellent, his knowledge and experience was amazing. I was, met at the airport and driven to my hotel efficiently and on leaving Delhi excellent service. Shadid accompanied us to check in to ensure that everything was ok. Wonderful trip, I felt safe at all times. Well done Wendy

Fantastic Majestic China
My wife and myself have just returned from our Wendy Wu Majestic China tour and to say we had a fantastic time would be an understatement. Everything went very smoothly thanks to our wonderful national guide Garry Guo. His English was very good and his commentary was informative. The whole Wendy Wu experience from the booking to the return home was easy. We got what we asked for with the additions, too easy! Betty, our national guide was magnificent. We are interested in the Ultimate China tour and the Road to Samarkand. We are a couple and will both be 77 when we plan to go. We are reasonably fit and able (we think) for our age. Maybe a bit slower than younger travellers especially up hill. Would our age cause a problem?

Both Ultimate China and Road to Samarkand tours have an active level rating of 3 out of 5, this means that a good level of fitness is required as you need to be comfortable walking for 2-3 hours a day and covering long distances. Although some long walking days, this will be at a gentle pace and will involve straight forward terrain.

We are 2 couples travelling to Japan with Wendy Wu at end of March 2020 for cherry blossom season. Can anyone give me some tips please? How to use toilets with so many buttons? How much Yen to have? How long on road before a toilet stop? Could we use fork and spoon or do we have to use chop sticks? These sort of advice I am after, thank you. What type of dress code for dinner? All our meals are included so I know only expense would be drinks or souvenirs.

You are correct, your tour is fully inclusive and any money that you bring along is simply for souvenirs, drinks and any additional requirements you may have whilst on tour.
Whilst chopsticks are the utensil of choice in Japan if you wish to use a fork your guide will be able to assist with this request.
There is no specific dress code for dinner, whatever you feel comfortable in will be suitable.
