I'm not sure. I would suggest you read the product disclosure information. Depending on how pregnant you are, you will also need to check with your airline

Don't know. I also suggest you examine the full policy.

Hello, we do cover visitors to Australia, however we do not cover pre-existing medical conditions unless it's a listed condition as an automatic cover. Unfortunately pregnancy is not a listed condition. Regards Sophie@1Cover

If your child is travelling with you on the policy and it's not due to a pre-existing medical condition (unless they have a condition that was declared and accepted on the policy), then you have provisions to claim for any cancellation fees and loss of deposits. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further clarification. Thanks Sophie@1Cover

Hello, I am coming to Australia on my working holiday visa from Canada in November and am needing insurance for the duration. Does 1 cover have an insurance policy that will work for me? Would I be able to go out of Australia on holiday or would I be able to go home in the middle of my visa duration without penalty? Has anyone purchased inbound to Australia insurance from them? What will the claim process be for me, would i have to pay for everything out of pocket and then have 1 cover reimburse me?

Hi all,
I am travelling to the states with my daughter at the end of this month. I am looking at getting cover mostly in case we have an accident and myself or daughter needs medical attention but also in case something gets lost or stolen. I see the word "reimburse" all through the conditions and this is where my question is.
I understand you give guarantee letters to hospitals but in other situations (not regarding hospital or emergency situations) such as where we would be asked to pay up front and be reimbursed later, what if we aren't able to pay (afford) the upfront costs? (but provides all documents needed and contacts in the appropriate amount of time)

We have saved to go on this trip but don't have extra hundreds in case something happens.

Thanks for your time and understanding

Hi, about to go to USA and Canada (although Canada didn’t seem to be an option on the travel to list?). My partner has had a stent put in near his heart nearly two years ago. All seems good now and the doctors give travel ok’s. But am concerned from reading your reviews that in the fine print he might not be covered? I’m sure all will be well, but going to USA and having a medical issue is not an exciting option. Just need that assurance that you will support us should things get wobbly. I filled in a form for him, with the heart condition, there was a small extra insurance for the situation, which was very reasonable. Thank you,
Zita

Hi Shavi, provided you have declared his pre-existing medical conditions and paid the additional premium your husband would have a provision to claim for unforeseen incidents related to his declared conditions, if you wish to double check that everything has been declared correctly I would recommend giving our contact centre a call on 1300 368 344, they will be more than happy to go over your policy with you. They told me that it does, but I’m sure when you place a claim they will find a way too get out off it.

You really need to read the whole long winded policy

You would have to ring them and ask them.

Pip

Definitely NOT! They have the usual short list of medical conditions that all Travel Insurance seems to cover (so read through that list first), then if your condition is not on that list you have to do an online medical assessment. It is not difficult to do the assessment, and at the end it will tell you if your condition can be covered with the payment of an additional premium. My condition, which has been covered by other travel insurers many times, was not covered. It simply said they could not cover it, so even paying additional premium was not an option. Although my condition is most unlikely to cause me any issues overseas, I would never travel without fully comprehensive cover for medical conditions, so 1Cover is not for me. And I won't waste my valuable time even getting a quote from them in future! Australia Post Travel Insurance is a good option that I have used before. And when we had a claim due to my husband's health, they paid up promptly.
