I have taken out a comprehensive travel policy for our holiday in New Zealand. We are hiring a rental so what is covered under rental vehicle excess andwhat do i need to show the rental hire that the excess is covered. Thanks Dawn
1 answer
Customer Service R.1Cover
Hi Dawn, Our Comprehensive policy provides cover for Rental Vehicle Excess up to $5,000 as standard (with options to increase). This provides cover for the excess you are liable to pay if you have to make a claim on the car insurance you have with the hire company. It saves you from paying what is usually an additional daily fee to reduce or remove the rental excess. If you have any further queries regarding your policy you can contact our customer care team on 1300 126 837. Thanks Sophie@1Cover

I always get travel insurance through 1cover. I have never had an accident or lodged a claim, im just happy that i have cover and the reviews from other people have helped me continue using 1cover now and in the future
1 answer
So far, I also never had a claim. Used them 3 X to Germany. The lady was nice on the phone and promised, if a bill comes in from Europcar after 3 to 4 month I would be still covered. Piece of mind. Europcar review recommended .
I would not use then again, even I had no problems with them before.

If weather conditions require us to be helicopter lifted back to Kathmandu, will we be covered for the extra cost?

You have to ask insurance. They are quick in reply. Only used them once for my trip to Europe
You'd have to check with the company, I've never travelled to that area.

Hi. You have to ask the insurance. Haven't used them yet for cruise
This is a direct quote from the PDS for Comprehensive Cruise Travel Insurance (but I would still check with the company):

Medical costs on a cruise can be expensive. Relax knowing you're covered from ship to shore with unlimited medical cover and emergency assistance.

Hi 1Cover Travel Insurance, May I ask if non-Australian is eligible for the travel insurance and does it covers pregnancy? I'm a Malaysian and going to Australia for holiday. I'm looking for travel insurance that can cover pregnancy while in Australia.
3 answers
I'm not sure. I would suggest you read the product disclosure information. Depending on how pregnant you are, you will also need to check with your airline
Don't know. I also suggest you examine the full policy.
Customer Service R.1Cover
Hello, we do cover visitors to Australia, however we do not cover pre-existing medical conditions unless it's a listed condition as an automatic cover. Unfortunately pregnancy is not a listed condition. Regards Sophie@1Cover

1 answer
Customer Service R.1Cover
If your child is travelling with you on the policy and it's not due to a pre-existing medical condition (unless they have a condition that was declared and accepted on the policy), then you have provisions to claim for any cancellation fees and loss of deposits. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further clarification. Thanks Sophie@1Cover
