I am moving from a Samsung S8+ and I’m not really happy with this phone. I bought it online and I should have walked into the store to get a feel of which one I liked the most. This phone is too big. It’s really wide.
Issues:
1) The speakers sound tinny. I play Spotify through my Samsung S8+ and it sounds great. I play it through my new iPhone XS Max and it sounds really tinny and awful. I will have to hotspot my old phone when I’m not in the house.
2) Apple doesn’t give as many free wallpapers as Samsung, who has a huge range of beautiful...Read more
wallpapers. You can’t even get a blank page for your wallpaper. It has icons or widgets all over it. 3) The colours of pictures and wallpapers is so incredibly dull! The wallpaper on my Samsung looks amazing. The same wallpaper on my Iphone looks very dull.Purchased in September 2021.

The latest and greatest
I got my iPhone XS Max about a year ago. In less than two weeks I noticed a crack in the back camera lens and I thought ‘no way’ because I hadn’t actually dropped the phone and I had it in a case since day 1... I later find out this is a common issue - the glass covering the camera is very sensitive.
Other than that, things have been running smoothly since then, until recently. Now, on rare occasions, when I lock the phone and go back to it quickly to unlock, it will simply not turn back on. The screen will stay black for more than a minute or...Read more
two while I press and hold the power button trying to get it to wake up. It wakes up eventually, but when it wants to. This has happened to me only twice in the past month, but not before then. Good but has some issues
I upgraded my phone from iPhone 7 Plus 32gb to the XS Max 64gb July 2022.
So far it has been okay, the better life is much better and lasts all day/night even though I am on social media or on the internet a lot. My main reason for the upgrade was a better camera and I can honestly this camera is way better! Photos are much sharper, colors are more vibrant and it takes great photos at night too. My photos don’t look all noisy with night photos and the colors are true to what I can physically see.
Sometimes apps randomly close or the touch ...Read more
screen doesn’t work but I’m not sure if this is an IOS issue or just something with my particular phone. Overall, I do really like the phone. Though if you have a XR or more recent phone than what I originally had, I wouldn’t worry about upgrading as they are somewhat similar.Purchased in July 2021 at Apple Store Australia.

Top Quality Phone
All the awesome features of the iPhone but with an amazing camera. Top notch zoom and clarity to die for. The battery life could be a little better. Love the Face ID. Large screen, top to bottom. I no longer use my iPad now that I have this phone. Very quick to load anything. Highly recommended this phone.

It's been the best Apple Iphone I've updated to so far.... It's used all the time and has not failed me.
Camera quality is amazing, very little back light is needed for a clear and bright selfie, and when displaying some photos I have had people ask me what kind of camera I use, needless to say they are shocked when I tell them that it's the one on my Iphone.
My Iphone is used for watching videos and movies also live streaming music .
Apps always work well even with multiple open at the same time.

Best phone I’ve had!
After months of researching what sort of iPhone to upgrade to next the iPhone XS Max has met all expectations. The camera quality through out the day to night time is a 10/10. Found no issues with taking photos in different conditions. The display of the phone is satisfactory and the brightness is also great. After multiple drops of the phone it is still in great condition and working as if it were brand new. Have had no issues with any of the apps.

Slick product, mostly trouble-free
After approximately 9 months, no sign of any noticeable degradation or issues. I have a standard Apple case and the phone has had some minor drops. I treat my phone as a tool and don't go out of my may baby it.
Battery life compared to previous apple models is at least 50% better, because I game on two phones at once, I find the old iphone 6S (it has a new battery) generally reaches 10% battery life, while the Max still has 50% or more. This despite the fact I am running the wifi-hotspot on the Max.
Apart from lack of headphone socket, it ...Read more
is absolutely the best Apple device I have owned by a considerable margin. Early in the life of the phone I found the Data link would fail particularity when hot-spotting. The phone required a restart to fix. This seems to be very rare now since the last few software updates. So my advice is if you are happy with the restricted nature of the Apple system, judge the cost, size and weight for yourself in store, if happy don't wait. Save yourself the teething problems of a new model and get one of these devices now the software is sorted and the phone works well.Purchased in November 2021 at Apple Physical store.

Beautiful, functional & sleek
First of all, this phone is by far the most beautiful in my personal opinion. I was set on the XR in terms of functionality & camera qualities, however in store, I caught a glimpse of the store assistants XS Max as he got it out of his own pocket to show me, and I fell in love. The subtle gold colour for me was by far more pleasing to the eye than the more bold colours of the XR. So coming from the rose gold 6s, this was what initially took me in with this phone. Then the assistant explained to me other benefits, such as the sturdier materials ...Read more
of stainless steel as opposed to the aluminium, which just feels nicer in your hand, and also has a shinier, more sleek & premium feel. If you are that way inclined, as I realised I am ;) I also liked the massive 256G of storage I could get, so I never have to part with a photo or video again. All in all, the tech is great on this phone. I love the “screen time” stats I get each week. It has really helped me set realistic goals in terms of getting back to reality & putting my phone down more often each day. I would say, this feature has helped me develop a healthier relationship with my phone. Sounds strange, but it’s true. Finally, the larger screen size was also something I didn’t think I wanted, but after being in store & holding both the XS Max & the XR in my hands, the screen size of the XS Max just felt so right. I would recommend this phone highly to anyone. The only one downfall is the removal of the headphone jack. It means I can no longer travel in my car with the AV cord in to listen to Spotify & have my charger in as well. I have to have a seperate adapter and only have the audio, no charge. Thankfully though, the saving grace is that the battery life is built to last & handles even long distance travel of a full day, without going flat. I’m yet to splurge on the wireless headphones, but I guess that’s my next purchase. Clever work there Apple ;$ So, if beauty, functionality of camera, usage stats, and a sleek, premium feel are important features for you, then this may be your phone.Purchased in March 2021 at Apple Store Australia.

Love new phone...changed my life!
Researching my new iPhone, I used the Apple website! So easy to navigate and then make a decision. After reviewing the facts of each phone, I made the decision to purchase a XS Max! Yes, I chose the larger phone, based on storage, camera quality, a 'one stop shop device' for home and away! Reduced my stress immediately, chose the larger storage, now free to take as many photos at home and trips overseas. Apps for meditation, apps for paying bills, apps for producing state of the art photos. New puppy shot enabled me to fade the background, ge...Read more

Happy with the phone but...
I bought this (refurbished) phone a month ago and it's better than my previous iPhone but the battery still runs out pretty quickly which is disappointing. The camera is pretty good. Apps work well and speed to open is quite good.

The quality of the camera is amazing
I absolutely love this product. I purchased it because I wanted a phone with the best camera quality possible, and I was not disappointed. The ability to edit photos on various apps is made outstandingly easy on this phone as well. You don’t need a computer to edit photos at all if you have an iPhone XS Max

Best IPhone I have owned
I purchased this IPhone as they said had the longest battery life, so far this is true, my previous IPhone 7 Plus would run out of life during the day. My new XS max last me all day long while browsing through social media and other apps. The quality of the camera is exceptional, very professional looking photos. The Face ID to unlock the phone is the best feature yet. The screen size is perfect compared to other previous IPhones. Overall I am very happy with this model.

What a great update to an old favorite...
The new iPhone XS Max with the smart adaptive screen, incredible graphics and speed of system. This phone feels fantastic to hold light weight and solid construction with a full viewing screen. The camera is amazing and a massive improvement on the old cameras I have owned every iPhone since the first model and this is by far the most advanced yet.

I added a wallpaper from my Samsung S8+ and the iPhone Max XS. The picture without the icons is the iPhone Max XS. You can see how dull the picture is in comparison.
