Please think twice before using them
I was offered a refund (but Aunt Betty to take around $800 in cancellation fees) which I agreed to as my travel insurance would cover some of as I had a medical emergency and am unable to fly. They still gave me a credit- spent 2.5 hours on hold 3 times. First time call disconnected just after waiting over 2 hours, second time was told it would be processed and 3rd time it's not an option. Whats worse is that the airline has agreed to a refund but this crappy third party have said it is not possible. Apparently no manager work at Aunt Betty's either so all they end up doing is disconnecting the call

Shocking knowledge and service
Return flight cancelled due to Covid-19. Took 3 seperate phone calls, 2.5 hours on hold to find out they have zero knowledge on the process and information around a refund.
Do not recommend booking with Aunty Betty.

Pathetic! Still ripping off customers
Phone Aunt Betty again after reading this "Flight Centre announced it would waive the cancellation fees on Saturday, following widespread outrage over the practice and the threat of legal action from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)". It is now Thursday, almost 1 week after the announcement, and Aunt Betty is still charging cancellation fees where the supplier cancelled.

Travel Advice - Do not use them. Hang up my phone after two hours waiting. If I can give them 0.25 star, I will!
I was on hold for 1 hr 40 mins and finally get to talk to a consultant. The call was to followed up the credit for one of the two booking they failed to provide credit shell for, which could be the result of an inexperienced, ineffective company & its staff. We have been very patient with this whole process and it was the first time we contacted them after more than a month of actual travel date.

hat I asked for refund of both bookings. They then asked me to provide further authorisation letter from myself to proceed with both bookings! This was the point that tripped me to the edge but I was calmly asking them what they need more from us. The consultant then hanged up on me! I now rang them back again to sort this out and now on hold, potentially 2 more hours! Which by the way, I need to take a day off from work in order to deal with Aunt Betty. Suffice to say, this is the first time I booked with Aunt Betty and it will be the last time I do business with them, or Flight Centre the parent company for that matter. So be warned, do not use their service.

Don’t accept their rubbish, refunds are possible
I’m in the same boat as many with Aunt Betty, pre paid flights have been cancelled and refunds are offered at low value after their charges are applied. I’ve been in contact with my credit card company and lodged an application for recovery of funds due to Aunt Betty not supplying the service as paid. I would suggest anyone who has paid via credit card - assume most people - follow the same line and attempt recovery this way. According to the card provider, once the date of the flight booked has past, this allows them to recover money due to non supply. Not as easy when the flight is still some time off, but worth a shot at least

Absolutely Need To Avoid!
On May 4th:
I had received a Refund Policy Update from Aunt Betty via email this morning so I immediately called Aunt Betty to make sure we are not getting the Credit Shell and that we would get the complete refund with no fees. The customer representative, said he couldn't do that for us. He said my Qantas flight was suspended and not cancelled so they wouldn't be able to give me a refund. I asked if that means I can go on the flight today to see what he would say. He said no because there are no flights. Ridiculous!

ed for my tickets to be cancelled without a processing fee. It was refused. Then I politely asked to speak to a manager and if that isn't possible then I'd like to escalate the issue. The customer service representative gradually got unfriendly, unhelpful, and abruptly rude. She hung up on me when I asked again to speak to a manager and that I want to escalate the problem. There should have been an offer for someone to contact me directly, to transfer me to a manager, or at least an email of someone who can further assist me. I called back immediately and waited for another 90 minutes to get another customer representative. She was calm and had good manners. She told me that the next day, which would have been April 30th, would be the last day I can decide to get a voucher or cancel the ticket. I didn't want to call back again so I decided then and there, on April 29th, to take a credit voucher. I had no better option so I had to choose a voucher to prevent the $200 processing fee if I were to cancel. She gave the complaint email address as I wanted more assistance in this matter. Still charging fees despite ACCC announcement
Despite ACCC announcing that Flight Centre Group has bowed down to threat of legal action and won't be charging fees in any of their brands where the airline cancelled the flight anymore, I phoned Aunt Betty and was told they are now charging $100 instead of $250 previously. Don't believe a thing Flight Centre Group says. In their advertisements for the Flight Centre brand they state they have now decided to do the right thing and not charge these fees, but they are still charging them in their non Flight Centre subsidiary brands.

Cancellation fee

Its my opinion that Aunt Betty are legally charging me.
We paid for our flights in full and now they have cancelled it because of covid and are charging us a cancellation fee of $200
I think this must be illegal but they probably consider that no one will bother with just $200.
I didn't cancel they did..

Disgusting.
I was due to travel to Europe on July 20th 2020 and return 8th August 2020.
Obviously, due to a world wide pandemic, this isn’t happening.
I received an email from AuntBetty, offering me a refund or credit points that I need to use within 12months. I selected refund as I am unable to travel within 12 months of my booking. I am a frontline emergency worker and have commitments to my job, hence being unable to travel within 12 months.

I have been placed on hold for hours, hung up on and today - after finally getting through, I spoke to a very rude and unhelpful lady who told me her name was [name removed]. Terrible customer service
They have terrible customer service, our flight was cancelled by the airline but the would not provide us with a refund and were making us pay to cancel a flight that was already cancelled. Never book with this company. Scam artists

My flight was cancelled due to COVID-19 but Aunt Betty said they need 12 weeks to do the refund and now it has been more than 12 weeks and I still didn’t receive it. Aunt Betty never answer calls or reply email. I strongly doubt if they are closing down.

Do not waste your money with AUNT BETTY
So like anybody i was hunting for the best flight price to Bali, I found using Aunt Betty i would save $400 i didn't think much of it as its a competitive market out there. COVID-19 hit and it hit hard i was due to travel May 4th 2020 . They are not contactable via phone if you somehow do get through they hang up on you.

They're royally screwing everyone!
I have requested a refund for the the flights which Singapore airlines have waived the fees for and I was prepared to take the hit of a cancellation fee from these criminals (Aunt Betty). My request for a refund was acknowledged via email but then a few days later I have now received an email stating my request for a Credit Shell was being processed!! I don't want credit! I want my money back and I asked for that but they clearly don't care . It just seems like an easy way to brush us all off!

Unfair charge
Qatar Airline cancelled my flight due to COVID-19 pandemic but Aunt Betty is refusing to refund. They are asking for cancellation fee which is $100.00. Huge experience to not booking anymore flight from agency especially Aunt Betty.

Avoid at all costs
Took a chance with Aunt Betty because of Flight Centre affiliations. Big mistake.
$250 fee to reimburse a $750 ticket.
Spent 90 minutes on hold to have them answer and hang up. Eventually they do respond on email but then when you reply you will never get a follow up again.
Skyscanner travel agents should be avoided.

Really good customer service
I thought that booking through a cheap website like aunt betty would cause lots of issues, as I've heard. However, due to COVID-19 I have not been able to travel and they have been really great to deal with. Whilst the phone takes a very long time to get through, the person on the other end was very helpful and friendly and I felt obliged to say thank you considering all that is going on they are still being very helpful and understanding.
