Hi Karen
If you are running your air purifier continuously 24/7 in a typical home environment then generally you would replace the filters every 12 months.
You can purchase these online direct from Ausclimate otherwise you can call us on 1800 122 100.
For this model the replacement filters which includes the HEPA and carbon filters is $124.00 with free delivery.

Hello Johnny, The pet filter is specifically designed for the Winix Zero+ Pro Model AUS-1250AZPU, not for the Winix 4 Stage AUS-5500 (as per subject line). You are welcome to call me to discuss further on 1800 122 100. Regards Russell

What does it mean when the air quality is on red?

2 answers
Lindsay
Lindsay

Hi Marii, the red indicates the purifier is picking up reduced air quality. I find my monitor goes red when I cook, even spray with detergent. They are very sensitive. If the purifier shows red - maybe increase the setting. If the purifier is doing it’s job properly then red should go away.

Ray

Lindsay answered the question very good it is the same as mine . Red is reduced air quality, as the unit cleans the air it will go back to green.

Hi Lesley
Ausclimate if the official distributor for Winix in Australia.
Unfortunately your model is not approved nor recommended for use in Australia by Winix.
Winix has specifically manufactured other models for use here, importantly meeting Australia's electrical, safety and health standards.
You can recognise the Australian approved models by the AUS prefix in front of the model number.
At the moment there are two Australian models; the Winix 4 Stage (AUS-5500) and the Winix Ultimate 5 Stage (AUS-9500).
Also we do not recommend to use a power adaptor in this case.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Please call me on 1800 122 100 so I can personally help with this unfortunate situation.

Hi, after comparing between AusClimate 4 & 5 stages air purifier, I refer the Ultimate 9500 but this only fit for a room up to 26m2, not even as the AUS5500 for room up to 33m2. I need a unit for a room up to 40m2, will the Ultimate 9500 work perfectly for a bigger room? Or you have any idea or suggestion? Regards, Alan.

Allan B.Winix

Hi Alan
Yes, the Winix Ultimate 5 Stage (AUS9500) can be used in a bigger room. While this model has a recommendation for rooms up to 26m², it can still be very effective in much larger areas by increasing the fan speed. The higher the fan speed the more volume of air is cleaned or filtered.

Between the 2 models Winnix 4 stage AUS 5500 and Winnix Ultimate Stage 5 9500 which is quieter?

1 answer
Winix
Allan B.Winix

Hi Peter,
Thank you for your enquiry
The Winix Ultimate 5 Stage air purifier is quieter than the Winix 4 Stage air purifier.
As example, 'Medium' fan speed is 48.9 decibels for 4 Stage compared to 47.9 for the 5 Stage air purifier.
By the way, a more comprehensive explanation regarding each model is available on the Ausclimate web-site.
Remember, we are here to have a chat anytime to ensure all your questions are answered.

Hi Bren
Generally, our selected retail stores choose to match our online sale prices.
Whilst you are more than welcome to buy direct from us we understand it may be more convenient to purchase from a retail outlet near you.
However I would recommend calling your store first to make sure they carry the particular model you're after.
Importantly, whether you buy from us or a retail store, our products such as the Winix 4 Stage air purifier is covered by a full 2 year replacement warranty.
And remember, for any friendly expert advice on our products, regardless of where you purchase, we are only a phone call away.

The filters are expensive, how often do they need replacing?

1 answer
Winix
Allan B.Winix

Hi
I am the NSW Sales Manager of Ausclimate.
The filters for both of our Winix models generally require replacing after 12 months of continuous use (in normal conditions).
Many of our customers have benefited from using the Winix air purifiers only at night while sleeping so this would normally extend the life of the filters.
To prolong the HEPA filter it is important to keep the pre-filter clean. This can be easily removed and simply washed under a tap.
We appreciate your point about the cost of replacing the filters. Ausclimate is a family owned business who is focused on providing quality products at affordable 'value for money' prices. We only use certified H13 HEPA filters in both models that importantly meet Australian Standards. This ensures all Australians have the confidence they are purchasing high quality, efficient filters.
It is unfortunate we cannot offer a cheaper filter option but we do not want to compromise quality.
However as a small bonus we do offer free delivery on all replacement filters Australia wide.
If you require any additional information please do not hesitate to contact Ausclimate direct.
Kind regards
Allan
