Great Service from Aussie-based Personnel
Friendly service, great prices, no mucking about and they kept me aware through all steps. Best customer service I can remember receiving here in Australia. back-up emails ensured I didn't forget the process and the connection was carried out at the time initially given. Highly recommended.

Off to a great start
After a lot of research I went with Aussie Broadband as my NBN provider. I liked the fact they had an Aussie based call centre + the offered a reasonable plan. I choose a 25/5 contract. I was kept up to date on delivery of my modem and installation date. Tech - Andy arrived on time. Unfortunately there was a slight tech issue. Andy problem solved the issue and ensured everything was good to go. I couldn't fault his professionalism. If this is an example of the service Aussie provides I will be a happy customer. Just did a speed test 12.20pm Qld time - slightly under at 21.8/4.86 but more than happy with the speed.

suits our needs with no fuss
our connection has been very reliable and Aussie gave us plenty of warning when NBN was to have a maintenance outage. phoning the staff for help is also incredible, they are knowledgeable and very helpful.

Connecting was simple with easy to follow instructions provided.
Notifications and detailed information regarding planned outages are received well in advance.
To date, we have not had any issues with speed or connectivity.

Great value, excellent service.
We made the mistake of using optus for NBN and home phone when the NBN became available in our area, up until the point where I couldn't take any more of them and switched to Aussie Broadband.
Every time I rang optus to find out why the NBN and phone would drop out completely for no reason on many occasions, I was kept on hold on the mobile, for at least 10 - 20 minutes each time.

I'm impressed!
I signed with Aussie Broadband in July 2022 when the NBN became available. The set-up procedure was easy and staff were always courteous and helpful. I've had no dropouts to date and no reason to have to call them. For their part, Aussie Broadband don't call me and that suits me fine. I suppose the real test occurs when there is a problem but I've had none, so, I'm very happy.

Don't know if I will ever get internet
I received only appalling communication and inefficiencies with this company. I signed up to Aussie Broadband immediately after moving to my new address on 15/1/20 hoping to get internet connection as soon as possible because I needed it for work. The first modem ordered was returned to sender by AusPost for reasons unknown on 22/1/20. After multiple phone calls, Aussie Broadband refused to dispatch another modem until they received the returned modem. When they finally agreed to express post another modem to me, they charged an extra $5. Today...Read more
, 24/1/20, I received notice that the modem would likely arrive next Wednesday, 29/1/20. Two weeks to receive a modem from signing up is appalling from any internet service provider. If you actually require an internet connection or would appreciate not having to beg for services you paid for, I would recommend you try any other internet service provider in Australia. At this stage, I don't even know if the modem would arrive or whether the connection will be available when it does.3 comments

are at their mercy for delivery, just as you are. I recommend lodging a complaint with Auspost in regards to the return to sender issue. Such a relief after Telstra!
I took the opportunity when I was changing over to the NBN of investigating companies other than Telstra, my provider at the time, and chose to go with Aussie Broadband. I am so glad I did. The internet is fine, but it is the customer service that is really outstanding, both when I call them, and in letting me know when they are having problems.

Great Service, priced well, and flexible features
Great service, priced competitively, and offers a lot of flexibility for the customer. The provider also offers a lot of features which you can change through your online account to tailor your needs. I have consistently good speeds and I highly recommend trying this service out!

Worst of the worst!
Have been with Aussie for around one year now. Worked beautifully the first few months but fast forward to now.. drop outs every day with most lasting twenty minutes and more.
Aussie tried to say it’s the wires underground but why would it work perfectly then suddenly drop out daily?? I’ve had NBN technicians out a few times but still they fail to take responsibility for a horrible service.
I believe I’ve had a stability profile placed on my service for at least a minimum of three months and have spent double the money on mobile data because I am paying $79 a month for a non existent service. Have even asked for my bill to be reduced to reflect the downtime and straight out told no.. time to involve the ombudsman.
Don’t walk, run.

Can't fault their service
Always consistent speed and easy to use website portal with the option to modify the plan and activate instantly. Installation was easy and best part I could use my own modem.

Perfect customer service.
Since we changed to Aussie we have no issues at all with our internet. The customer service is first rate. They are a much better company to deal with than our previous provider, who cost us hours on the phone trying to sort out dropouts.

Good, affordable service
Speed was close to advertised, with a reliable connection and no drop outs as of yet. Good customer service, with an Australian call centre. Not quite the cheapest ISP on the market but still pretty affordable and good value.

Changing words from customer service desk
I called Aussie Broadband JUST to check if they have the option of freezing an account during my long holiday period away from home and the suggested a cancellation option as there is no extra cost involved. They ensured me I can receive the same service upon my return.
When I returned from holiday and called them and asked to reconnect they mentioned the plans are now changed and I have to pay more for less data. If I was told about the possibility of plan changes I would NOT accept what they suggested.
More frustrating is the customer service person being indifferent about the issue and losing a customer.
This is BAD.

Better than DoDo
A couple of dropouts but fixed ok. Enjoy speaking with Aussie speaking call centre for change. The changeover was without incident. I am more than satisfied for an allround good service .

Very good
Very good and this far very reliable NBN. I was hesitant getting NBN after hearing so many bad stories but has been very pleased with Aussie. The speed is twice as good as my old Optus ADSL. Only problem has been that I thought I ordered Voip with my original order but nothing happened so after a week I had to call them up and then wait another week before being connected. And I guess that Aussie has not promoted that they also provide mobile coverage, I had to find out from a friend because I have been locking for a good mobile service for a while to get away from Virgin that have sold out to Optus and insist on a new 24 month contract after I had been with them for over 20 years.

Cabling inside the house is up to you. Aussie BB will provide the NBN modem, and telephony service, if required. I use my mobile for all calls so opted to go without a phone number, but I'm sure 'porting your number from your current provider wouldn't be an issue.

Hi Ian,internal cabling will be up to you, but nbn will install a nbn modem (you may be able to negotiate this somewhat) but they do have regulations that they must follow. If it's not placed where you want it, then you'll need to hire a licenced cabler to move it where you want it. We will port your number should you request it and we do provide VoIP plans with the starter plan being $0, but pay for all calls.
