Nothing extra for $10,00 more

published

Phone call today wanting to know if swap over. Told them plan I am on, no lock in contract and how much I pay. Their reply to swap over would cost ten dollars more a month. I asked what extra do I get for my $10.00 and answer was nothing. What a joke of a phone call to get customers. Wish star rating went negative. I am NBN and if phoning you better offer better than what I am getting

Ex-Optus didn't know an ISP could be this good. Well done Aussie BB.

Migration from Optus to Aussie BB was seamless & trouble-free. Managing my ISP no longer chews up big chunk of my day, as it did when I was with Optus NBN.

Simply the best. Connection is incredibly reliable & speeds are consistently 48MBps (50) no matter what time of the day.

Never experienced a drop out since signing up. Spoke to an AU speaking person in billing and they bent over backwards to answer my Qs. Will never leave, awesome company :)

I'm impressed!

published

I signed with Aussie Broadband in July 2022 when the NBN became available. The set-up procedure was easy and staff were always courteous and helpful. I've had no dropouts to date and no reason to have to call them. For their part, Aussie Broadband don't call me and that suits me fine. I suppose the real test occurs when there is a problem but I've had none, so, I'm very happy.

Up and running from another provider in 30 minutes!!! So happy and the speeds are ****** great!!! 97mbps smooth

published

Signed up online after hours and they had my NBN FTTN plan up and running in 30 minutes, still can't get over how fast that was. Finally back to the good speeds I was getting with Optus but at a way better price. I made the mistake of trying a small not so well known provider before changing to Aussie and damn I wish I went with Aussie in the first place to save the major headache I had with the cheapo provider and the crappy speeds they were giving me.

Outstanding service and performance

published

I wanted a Oz company with Oz based support for NBN when recently moved to regional NSW so went with Aussie. Getting an account and ordering my product was straightforward, email comms and instructions great. Modem delivery timely and setup a breeze. The online billing is great and couple times I’ve needed minor tech support have not waited on hold and techos knew their stuff. Highly recommended!

Such a relief after Telstra!

published

I took the opportunity when I was changing over to the NBN of investigating companies other than Telstra, my provider at the time, and chose to go with Aussie Broadband. I am so glad I did. The internet is fine, but it is the customer service that is really outstanding, both when I call them, and in letting me know when they are having problems.

I am experiencing a considerable number of dropouts on my TV. It’s not effecting my iMac, iPad and iPhone which have no dropouts. It seems to be the wireless connection between the modem and the TV

This is how customer service should be

published

Hi all,
We have been with ABB NBN50 for 6 months now and have found the service fantastic. We recently rang them to switch over to their mobile phone plans and found how honest and brilliant their customer service people are. We told them what we are paying and the customer service person basically told us that ABB mobile plans although cheaper, we would get better valve elsewhere.
How good is that? My friends have recently signed up to ABB NBN services because of this customer service person frank and honest opinion.

Make the move!

Since moving from Dodo (one of the worst ISP's ever) we've had nothing but joy. The few times we've needed customer service, connection times have been minutes not hours and plus you can actually understand the Aussie agents. We also get twice as fast speeds as Dodo.

Awesome Service

published

Customer service is awesome and no drop outs. I had a few drop-outs in the first 3 days when we first connected but it's really because of the NBN box. Good thing I received 2 so when I swapped it over, no more drop-outs.
The NBN app is a great way to manage bills and look at info. You can also look at outages but I don't think this is too accurate.

Worst of the worst!

published

Have been with Aussie for around one year now. Worked beautifully the first few months but fast forward to now.. drop outs every day with most lasting twenty minutes and more.

Aussie tried to say it’s the wires underground but why would it work perfectly then suddenly drop out daily?? I’ve had NBN technicians out a few times but still they fail to take responsibility for a horrible service.

I believe I’ve had a stability profile placed on my service for at least a minimum of three months and have spent double the money on mobile data because I am paying $79 a month for a non existent service. Have even asked for my bill to be reduced to reflect the downtime and straight out told no.. time to involve the ombudsman.

Don’t walk, run.

Craigh

Craighasked

I am getting a new ASUS RT-AX88U AX6000 dual band modem. I just want to certain it will be compatible with ABB nbn. Can you confirm this please?

1 answer
Aussie Broadband
Official RepAussie Broadband

We really can't make any guarantees, however, that modem would only be compatible with HFC, Fixed Wireless, Fibre to the Premises, or Fibre to the Curb technologies that have an installed NTD from NBN acting as a modem. For FTTN connections that connect via a phone point in the wall, you will need a modem router which the ASUS RT is a router only. Hope that helps. Cheers, Mel
