Excellent service
Although not the cheapest service, after reading the nightmare, reviews on other providers, we opted for Aussie Broadband, due to its excellent customer reviews. After having the service for a couple of months, I am very glad we did. I have found them to be excellent. I ordered the service on a Monday, after talking to a very helpful customer service rep, who also told me that our house was already NBN ready, so we would not have to wait for the NBN to come out, the modem arrived Wednesday AM, and 30 minutes later I had it connected. we get is as advertised, and 10 times faster than the ADSL we had prior to this connection to the NBN, and much cheaper. We get email notifications of any outages, have had one that was very brief. There is no contract, but we did need to buy our own modem, which we did from Aussie Broadband. I would highly recommend Aussie Broadband, if you want a worry free NBN connection.

Aussie broadband just connect my NBN where Telstra fails to
ABB puts customer needs first and follow up the connection even it takes 3 weeks to investigate the faults. The connection is reliable and the staffs as well. The Australian team is the best!

Gave me a faulty router. Argued constantly with me about returning/replacing it. Went to another provider.
High latency. Modem overheated constantly. When I tried to problem solve I was asked to perform advanced system checks, and to “borrow” a windows PC, to conduct an Ethernet traceroute.

After all the scare stories about NBN - no problem at all
New customer to both Aussie Broadband and NBN, and I couldn't be happier. At the forgotten end of an ADSL connection and lucky to achieve download speeds of >1Mbs, I now feel like I'm actually connected to the real world again. The actual connection was quick, efficient and painless. Thanks Aussie.

Worse support and lowest internet service ever seen
I Decided to change my service from TPG ADSL to Aussie broadband,
Worst mistake ever make.
NBN speed keeps fluctuating since signed up with them almost a month ago.
Service is good while its working but once you have problems, you almost don't have any internet.
I contacted Aussie broadband for support, they tried to be nice and help you but service is down the drain. they say the issue is mainly from NBN Box and we cant do much.
for the past 2 weeks I have contacted them more than 5 times and keep receiving the same excuse, the process of finding the issue and trying to solve it from them is really frustrating.

Again Zero attempt to fix this matter. Pay a little more save yourself the headache and having your day ruined. please don't trust the positive 5 star feedback as most of them are the paid product reviewers and i decided to sign up with Aussie broadband just based on the feedback. will write more and update my experience for the rest to decide wisely. Note to Aussie broadband team: I, as a genuine customer, will fight back until you guys fix the issue for me. will fix your issue. If it does not then we will need to do some direct testing with a device connected via cable to the modem. Please let us know how you go. NBN service
The service does what I expect, which interestingly was what the service prior to changing to NBN did, allows me to receive, send emails and do some web surfing. Not into downloading movies or gaming.
The service appears to be reliable, experienced full service without any drop outs.
The tech who installed the modem was very efficient, friendly. Turned up ON time phoned ahead to confirm we were home so this side appears to be very well managed.

We have had no issues and speeds have been great.

Worked easily
Fast, easy to use. Sign up was smooth. Ordered their modem, plugged it in and all worked well with no issues and no hassles. Internet works well and hasn't dropped out, or been slow.

A refreshing change
I had many problems with my previous ADSL connection in central Melbourne ... slow speeds (down to less than 1 MBs) but the large Telco was tardy in even looking at the problem and it was NEVER their fault. When NBN eventually came (Dec 2022) I decided to look around. At Aussie Broadband I found a cheaper alternative and a much faster connection to NBN. They advertised a great customer service and that is exactly what I got. mise fulfilled. Connection was within a week of signing up ...and a technician talked me through my router setup (complicated as I have an unusual router that runs my VPN). Misleading for seniors! (plan not available)
I tried to sign up for the $49 seniors broadband and was told "we aren't doing that plan - how about a more expensive one?" So I gave up and have gone with another provider who does not have misleading information on their website! Humrrumph.

How can they get any better?
We joined Aussie Broadband in November 2022 as our area had been converted to FTTC NBN and we wanted to move away from the ADSL2+ we had with iiNet as their customer service was so bad.
We wanted to try someone new, so we gave Aussie Broadband a call and have been amazed at how wonderful everything has been.
We decided to try the basic 25/5Mbps plan to see how good it was as you can easily change plans with them.
The transfer process to Aussie Broadband was very smooth and they kept us regularly updated with emails and phone calls.

ompany sent a technician to complete the connection from the street to our house but Aussie Broadband had arranged for the technician to install our NBN connection box and Aussie Broadband modem, even though there were easy to follow instructions in the NBN connection box and the modem ..... now that's what you call customer service! Flawless and excelent price.
Excellent reliability. No dropouts. Better than my ADSL and lower cost. I get 25Mbs event time I do a sipped check. My video streaming is great and working from home is better. Just the government installers (Not Ausie) were not helpful. PS. You probably don't need to buy a WiFi router if you have working WiFi allready. Ask Ausie staff.

Great transition to NBN.
Have been with AussieBB for 15+years and have always been very happy with their service, pricing and support. I'd put off changing from our wireless broadband to NBN, but bit the bullet a couple of months ago, and it's been great. The AussieBB techs who guided me through the changeover setup were very professional and patient. Our NBN experience has been totally reliable and hassle-free to date. Always good to know help is only a phone call away if we need it. Highly recommend.

Great connection and Australian staff
Signed over to Aussie after being with tpg for about 10 years because tpg weren't flexible enough with their plans (making me either pay $70 for speeds I wasn't able to achieve due to the copper bottle neck or $60 for a plan that was no faster than my adsl) aussie had flexible plan options which got me to the 24mbps I'm able to achieve with a good amount of data for $62 a month which was perfect. upports our country. Speeds have been consistent with no router resets required like a had to do with tpg every other week when connection would drop. Had one outage due to nbn equipment failure. Was fixed in about 3 hours, the whole time, I received messages from Aussie to keep me updated on the progress of repairs which was really helpful. Have to say was a bit sceptical of all the glowing reviews given most internet providers are notoriously bad so thought I'd add my own in as well after being with them 3 months now. Cabling inside the house is up to you. Aussie BB will provide the NBN modem, and telephony service, if required. I use my mobile for all calls so opted to go without a phone number, but I'm sure 'porting your number from your current provider wouldn't be an issue.

Hi Ian,internal cabling will be up to you, but nbn will install a nbn modem (you may be able to negotiate this somewhat) but they do have regulations that they must follow. If it's not placed where you want it, then you'll need to hire a licenced cabler to move it where you want it. We will port your number should you request it and we do provide VoIP plans with the starter plan being $0, but pay for all calls.
