Fee for no service!
Went to Melbourne BMW for a standard service of my BMW X1 on 24 Jan. On checking in I confirmed there were no problems with the car, just needed a service. I was quoted a figure excluding anything unusual with an undertaking to call if they thought anything further needed doing. A couple of hours later the call came that I needed $8k worth of work. I said not to proceed with anything and I would come and collect the car. When I picked up the car I was charged for what I was told was the standard service fee as they'd already done this work ...Read more
before calling me. Fair enough. It was also suggested that if I spoke to the Manger they could do me a better price on the $8k. Surely this just confirms they were over quoting in the first place! I took the car to another qualified BMW mechanic only to be told car had NOT been serviced. [They said this was not an uncommon story.] Also got a second opinion on the suggested additional works. Didn't need 4 new tyres after all (no surprise as current ones are all < 2yr) and other items not required. All up over $2k less. Seems Melbourne BMW has charged me for NOT doing a service as requested. They charged me for the privilege of an attempted rip off.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What is the point
Booked vehicle in for annual check South Yarra BMW. To the concierge then to the personal service advisor. Checked the details and organised a coffee. Sat not more the 20 metres from him in the same room & I didn't move.
Saw the car being parked & waited 20 minutes thinking that more was needed. Then the service advisor grabbed his lunch & walked upstairs. Challenged him, he went a grabbed the paper work. Then made a comment we couldn't find you???
This is not the first time.
I get better service at Holden.

Rolfe BMW spare parts 600% mark up
My fault for attending the said dealership but on the day I was in a rush and had to get a spare rear tail light globe for my BMW car. The cost $19. I thought it a bit strange so I called Repco same globe $3. I even went as far and called BMW Sydney $15. To the reader to me this means Rolfe are selling their spare parts for an exhorbatant price. I know dealers have huge overheads but I am sorry this is ridiculous. My advice unless you have cash to burn stay away from spare parts.

BMW Macarthur dishonest and unprofessional
My brand new X3M40i was dropped off at Macarthur BMW on the 22nd of November, for a major warranty fault, concerning an extremely high pitched screeching noise, ONLY when cold. This was almost 4 weeks ago. It was then discovered, through my BMW tracking app, my X3 was subsequently taken home by a mechanic for a 181km weekend joyride, with his wife and daughter, with registered visits at 2 different McDonalds and parked a local shopping centre over the weekend. The GM, [name removed], and Service Manager were immediately notified and questioned via phone and email. This weekend joyride was done without my consent and with no plausible reason give. Extremely dishonest dealership and very unprofessional.

Customer Service is ourageous
My experience comes after my home was broken into. Both keys to the BMW were stolen. This car was purchased at Worthington BMW on the Central Coast approximately 12 months ago so I went back to them to get replacement keys as you cannot get them from anywhere exempt a BMW retailer. I ordered the keys and paid the enormous amount for the keys on 15/11/18, I was told it would take 10days to 2weeks because they have to get them from overseas. It is now 17/12/18 and I still haven't received the keys and they cannot give me an ETA.
I will never recommend Worthington BMW to anyone, they were very helpful when I was purchasing but their after sales customer service is outrageous.

Deceptive practice
I called BMW Alexandria inquiring about buying a demonstrator, I was told that there were two available. Requested the spec sheets and photos to be emailed. Did not receive the photos so contacted BMW Alexandria, only to be told that the car I was interested in had been sold, also the other car had been sold. Wasted a day on this process. BMW Sydney use bait marketing, promising a low price, but when you decide to buy the car the price goes up. More wasted time.

SUCH a bad experience! DONT take your mini here!
I took my mini in for its service - booked at 10am. I was told to wait in some odd space age cube, where I stayed for about an hour! Then was allocated my customer service agent. I was immediately alarmed when after i asked questions, she started acting really confused and could not answer any questions - was so vague. I advised that we had 4 services included with the purchase and its on our file, (we purchased the mini from there). They advised that there computer file records are no longer available as they have a new system and lost the old...Read more
files so we would need to pay for the services. I advised that was not happening and they needed to find that file. She advised they would contact the head dealership. They took 4 days and kept our mini for that long! They said they found that record and we paid for part of the service. They have advised that they will email the record and after 4 calls - still no record sent! Oh and to add, when i went to get my mini after 4 days, i still had to wait over an hour. They are so dis-organised and the customer service is poor.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent Sales Consultant and Outstanding Customer Service BMW Trivette Classic
About two weeks ago I was passing BMW Parramatta Trivett Classic dealership and went to the dealership to see their cars and get some information. I had the idea of upgrading my car for quite a while, but never could have found either the car I liked or got the finance I needed. James Germi who was a Sales Consultant there helped me by providing a lot of good information about finances, cars and in fact end-to-end of the purchase. He was not like traditional sale people that push you and want to just maximise their own profit. He was very ethic...Read more
al person, knowledgeable, passionate and patient with all my questions. His objective was to conclude a win-win deal that both parties were happy. He was truly a professional consultant and gave me a very good total cost of ownership analysis and advice which addressed many of my questions about acquisition cost, operating, service and maintenance and end of life of the cars costs. So, I was convinced to trust him and decided to purchase a BMW car from them. I found the customer service consistently outstanding and courtesy of the staff was impressive. I will definitely go back to him and them when I want to buy another car.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Melbourne BMW, under resourced, disorganised, dishonest.
I’ve 16 years experience with BMW dealers mostly in NSW, and have seen a fair share of dealer issues. One thing I learnt however was the BMW Sydney owned dealership was the most trustworthy and reliable dealership to deal with. Foolishly I though this would carry over to Melbourne BMW (although this has been sold) however this appears to be the opposite. I really wish I read the customer experiences on this site before hand. Many experiences here may sound exaggerated but after my experience many I can unfortunately relate to them.

Make money by any means
Loan car returned after 6 hours, reached by 2, was waiting for over 1 hour, was told to pay for scratch on the rim as there was more to what was there already, refused to let me go even after telling them that i will settle it, horrible experience.
They are very nice when you buy the car but during servicing and repairs they change and will find excuses to extract more money, will not recommend them to anyone.

Misleading and Deceptive Conduct
Do not recommend Macrthur BMW Sydney at all. They have engaged in misleading and deceptive conduct by selling us a BMW M760Li with higher than advertised KM’s. On the sale contract provided to us at time of purchase, it was recorded as having done 8,211KM. However, at delivery the odometer reading was at 10,680KM, 2,469KM more and missing all the vehicle books which were promised to be delivered to us a week ago. We have provided them with sufficient time to come back to us with a response but to date we have not heard anything from them.
A very disappointing experience, stay clear of them.

Melboune BMW First Class
Lucky you did not go to BMW Doncaster I went dressed in jeans four times noone would come up and ask. Then I called in with a suit and they were all over like a rash. I have bought 4 cars from BMW Melbourne and always great service - even with jeans and shorts on.
December 22nd 2018 Update: No customer service
BMW City Rd use to be first class however since being bought out they have no customer service whatsoever - Ignore correspondence and once the service warranty ceased all they were interested in was ripping off long term customers saying this and that needs to be done so they can fill their pockets with $$$$ - well I have news to them I am off to buy a mercedes - no wonder so many staff have left City Rd.

Dishonest dealership, incompetent servicing
I bought a car from this dealership. It leaked oil before warranty was up but they claimed there was no leak even though RAC confirmed it. Oil finally had gross leak after warranty was up. I had to pay for repair! O2 sensors were covered in oil and engine emission symbol could not ever be erased from dashboard. The i-drive was working most times but after they checked it, it didn't work unless I hit it hard with my hand. I now have painful scar tissue in my left hand. My car was not tradable. They still want me to pay for correction of the O2 sensors. I went to Consumer Protection with a good case but Autoclassic has now wiped their hands of me. Their after sales service is shocking, bordering on incompetent. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP.

It was a pleasure to have my enquiry handled by Charles Barron
I called in at North Shore BMW, Chatswood to find out more information on the diesel engines in the X3 and X5. To make sure a got the facts I asked for the Sales Manager. My experience with Charles Barron exceeded my expectations. Charles went to great length to ensure that the information he provided was accurate. I now know that the diesel engine in the X3 is EV6 compliant and EV5 compliant in the case of the X5. Having been in sales and marketing for most of my life I am very aware of attitudes in sales situations. I have no hesitation in giving Charles Barron a 5 star rating.

Sell Expensive Extended Warranty Still Charge for Warranty Repair
Bought two BMWs from this dealer. The scheduled maintenance has been fine in general but deteriorated lately. They missed my scheduled repair once and had a longer waiting period for scheduled maintenance. In one service, they forgot to clean the car afterwards and forgot to put a trim part back. Fortunately the part fell in my garage from the engine bay.
As my first BMW had a lot of issues just out of warranty, the dealer sold me an extended warranty to save me either spending a lot of money or fighting them on these latent defects. Most o...Read more
f these defects can be found on the net as common premature failures, some of them even recalls in some countries. The 2nd car was trouble free until passing the factory warranty for 4 months. The fault is the cooling system kept loosing coolant. The dealer claimed the extended warranty repair is authorized but it will be subject to diagnostic fee. The common sense is if the repair is warranted, how come the diagnosis is not? So even you pay them upfront the extended warranty, they will still find a way to extort money out of you, not very ethical.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

John Mcasked
Just tried to purchase a vehicle from a dealer in W.A. Salesman said there was no problem and did 25 to 30 a week. I agreed verbally to use their finance quoted at 5.6 %
Sent a holding deposit in view of this and expected no problems (had not signed anything).
Told next day by salesman that he didnt know what was involved.in interstate transport. My reaction..????
Rings me Monday and says I need an address in WA I can use. Why? He then said "otherwise car is sent without rego"
Then changes story later that day and says plates stay on car and will be shipped rather.than trucked.
Now.says plates have to come off before sending again.
I ask for holding deposit back.
Agrees but now says they only bank one day a week and I have to wait 6 days?
Does anyone else feel like this is.odd?
Is this right concerning rego (my friend bought a car from Perth and it arrived with plates and rego, he only had to get a blue slip and transfer ownership within 7 working days)
And can I expect my holding deposit back.
John.
