Had new Braemar Ecostar ducted heater installed last month and installer out 5 times already!!! The unit does not warm house adequately. It takes approx. 5 hrs to reach desired temperature-turning off every 3minutes. Further noise level is LOUD. My old unit was so quiet you did not even know the heater was on. I had to replace it as it eventually died. This new one is not worth any money at all. It is loud and inadequate. It's almost like being in industrial setting or airport.. Soooo annoying and does not even work properly in a speedy time. ...
Read moreVery uncomfortable to be in the cold house due to poor heating and the place is small. Do not buy Braemar Ecostar .. Definately not value for money and I will definately replace this unit even though it's new.. The installer stated nothing else can be done as the unit is under warranty and any changes to the unit would detract from factory settings and therefore void the warranty..

We bought the unit 4/2021 from ColdFlow. Soon we found it did not work properly : stopping every few minutes & LITTLE WARMING. The company said it should be OK. Now in April, 2022. NOT WARMING AT ALL. Keeping run for 5 hours WITHOUT heating ( no errors nor orange color on number to show it worked. BUT BLACK... Coldflow called them 3 time NO RESPONSE. Today 12/04/2022, Braemar called back & said a service man would be anytime from 8-5PM.........!!!!!!. Her voice asked if we are BEGGARS.....

Product installed in 1/Jan/2017. The installation gave up its ghost on 20th Feb 2022. The motor on the product TQ4x30 burnt out - less than 2 months outside of its proclaimed 5-year warranty.
Darebin gas was recommended by the company (Seeley) to service the unit. Replacing the motor cost me $660. Darebin gas, I would give 5 stars for the service, they (Garry) were prompt, efficient and did the job at the agreed date and time. Thank you.
Note this fine print for warranty claims:
To be eligible for the 7-year warranty, the product has t...

Had unit installed last month to replace my 10 year old heater. It heats well but it’s so noisey. You can hear the clicking when it turns on/off and the fan sounds like an aeroplane propeller getting ready for take off. It’s anything but whisper quiet as advertised in their brochure.

TQ430 installed 2 years ago and has been repaired 3 times already.
Warranty department made claims of issues found on previous visits that we had never been advised of before and only once i had made a complaint about the quality.
Am currently seeking quotes to have this awful system removed and replaced.
A lot of money wasted, avoid this heater.

Installed in July 2018 and has many failures! Very disappointed in the poor quality of the product. It has been repaired so many time since 2018 and still doesn't work. Also, very poor customer service from Seeley International Melbourne. Do not buy if you want to save your money!

Noise at level 10 is a tad high... (This is at the actual heater in roof, not the air vents) but its not overbearing, possibly normal sound levels... was just louder than what I'd expect), you can turn the fan down though if you have the MagIQTouch controller, which I have. It has been working ok....
Anyway a good unit, it does a great job heating the place. Ended up getting another Braemar TQM520 for a different place. Was going to get a Brivis, but since I've had no issues with the one at home, I trust it, not to mention the 7 year warranty...
Read more. Also I'd like to add that the people having issues are the ones getting the system installed by non Braemar dealers and installers maybe? Or messing with the installer settings? Use the official seeley webpage to look for a official dealers and installers... anyone else I wouldn't trust. ** Edited To Clarify And Update Experience, also to update that the noise is not from the return duct like I thought, rather the actual heater itself in the roof. **Purchased in .

6 months old. Now the ignition won't start and no heat in the colder days and now my 10 month old baby has to sleep with us in our room who is sick, the fact that it states "no pilot light ensures the heater works everytime"! Absolute joke of a product read so many crap reviews only after installing.

Purchased TQ415 and has professionally installed 13 months ago. Stopped working for no reason and had to get a service technician out to fix. He was there 10 minutes tops and tried to charge almost $500.
Now, not even 2 months on this unit has stopped again. Braemar are almost impossible to contact directly and we have to deal with the supplier / installer who are blatantly trying to rip us off.
I've since done my own online research and have found numerous similar complaints about these crappy heating systems and lack of customer support from Braemar. Wish I'd never chosen this brand - or the installers for that matter.
We're seeking legal advice now to recover the entire amount, including installation.

Problems uncounted
Gas leak from inside heating unit after installation
2 electronic components replaced one at a time.
Ignition module was replaced with the first few months. Was advised that we would have the same issue again. Was a known fault with the unit
Now airflow has reduced. Increasing fan speed makes no difference
Blowing cold air from the return duct
Turned on last night. After 4 hours cannot get house temp above 18 with fan full on. Used to get better temps. Unit stuffed?

Was convinced to install a Braemar TQ430 to replace a 15 year old brivis. The system is on third failure since May 2022. Don’t recommend this brand. I have to lose another working day waiting for a service man to show up.

I had this installed last year very disappointed at the beginning, it made great noise I called up for a service, quoted from the onsite technician "it was design issue" (he forced to move the fan parts a little up). Days later, the unit totally stopped working, gratefully they sent technician on that week the technician promised the issue been fixed and it'd be all good. The heater took much longer of time to warm up the rooms even after 2 or 3 hours, though setting the room temperature to 22 degrees the heater often stopped running at 16 degr...
Read moreees, I was so regretting that I've purchased this unit. Weeks later the heater stopped working again, had to call the service hotline expressed my frustration as that's the 3rd time of repair within one month. The onsite technician nearly replaced all of the parts of the heater. I haven't had any other major issue after that. Update in year 2020 Seeley International repaired this brand new unit 3 times in year 2022. One year later, the heater stopped working again so it'd be the 4th repair for this brand new heater. Worst product ever I have purchased!!! I called 1300 650 644 was transferred to Melbourne office just hoping someone to answer my call to request a service booking, waited for 50 minutes no one answered my call. Back to year 2022, when I questioned Seeley why the brand unit broke down 3 times within one month, I was told "this product comes with 5-year warranty, you can get service for 5-year"Purchased in for $4,100.

Read moreested a extended warranty from today's date, it was a no. I requested a new unit,it was a no. He made me feel like it was my fault your company's unit failed. Not impressed and I have notified him I am going to Consumer affairs Victoria and write to your CEO. I am very frustrated and have no confidence in this latest fix. Refusal to give me an extended warranty from today indicates Seeley international has no confidence in their own product. I have asked him to put in writing if there is another fault in the unit within warranty period it will be replaced. Let's wait for his response. My valuable time wasted.Thank you Praveen. Can't say I'm happy with Braemar. Really disappointed actually. For two reasons:
1. We had a brand new unit installed, and two and half months later it's broken down.
2. Had to wait three days for their technician to come out and when they did, we missed them. We weren’t told a time to expect them, or that it’s a full day booking. So my wife took our baby to a café to keep warm. She missed their phone call and now we’re told we can’t have another technician for five more days.
A lot of regrets right now.
