VERY bad branch & service

published

We bought the unit 4/2021 from ColdFlow. Soon we found it did not work properly : stopping every few minutes & LITTLE WARMING. The company said it should be OK. Now in April, 2022. NOT WARMING AT ALL. Keeping run for 5 hours WITHOUT heating ( no errors nor orange color on number to show it worked. BUT BLACK... Coldflow called them 3 time NO RESPONSE. Today 12/04/2022, Braemar called back & said a service man would be anytime from 8-5PM.........!!!!!!. Her voice asked if we are BEGGARS.....

So noisy

published

Had unit installed last month to replace my 10 year old heater. It heats well but it’s so noisey. You can hear the clicking when it turns on/off and the fan sounds like an aeroplane propeller getting ready for take off. It’s anything but whisper quiet as advertised in their brochure.

Avoid!

published

TQ430 installed 2 years ago and has been repaired 3 times already.
Warranty department made claims of issues found on previous visits that we had never been advised of before and only once i had made a complaint about the quality.
Am currently seeking quotes to have this awful system removed and replaced.
A lot of money wasted, avoid this heater.

Purchased in for $3,300.

HORRIBLE!

Installed in July 2018 and has many failures! Very disappointed in the poor quality of the product. It has been repaired so many time since 2018 and still doesn't work. Also, very poor customer service from Seeley International Melbourne. Do not buy if you want to save your money!

Terrible

6 months old. Now the ignition won't start and no heat in the colder days and now my 10 month old baby has to sleep with us in our room who is sick, the fact that it states "no pilot light ensures the heater works everytime"! Absolute joke of a product read so many crap reviews only after installing.

Purchased in for $4,500.

Don't Do It !!! TQ series are duds !!!

published

Purchased TQ415 and has professionally installed 13 months ago. Stopped working for no reason and had to get a service technician out to fix. He was there 10 minutes tops and tried to charge almost $500.
Now, not even 2 months on this unit has stopped again. Braemar are almost impossible to contact directly and we have to deal with the supplier / installer who are blatantly trying to rip us off.
I've since done my own online research and have found numerous similar complaints about these crappy heating systems and lack of customer support from Braemar. Wish I'd never chosen this brand - or the installers for that matter.
We're seeking legal advice now to recover the entire amount, including installation.

Problems uncounted
Gas leak from inside heating unit after installation
2 electronic components replaced one at a time.
Ignition module was replaced with the first few months. Was advised that we would have the same issue again. Was a known fault with the unit

Now airflow has reduced. Increasing fan speed makes no difference
Blowing cold air from the return duct
Turned on last night. After 4 hours cannot get house temp above 18 with fan full on. Used to get better temps. Unit stuffed?

Rubbish product that keeps failing

Was convinced to install a Braemar TQ430 to replace a 15 year old brivis. The system is on third failure since May 2022. Don’t recommend this brand. I have to lose another working day waiting for a service man to show up.

Lasted two months before breaking.

published

Can't say I'm happy with Braemar. Really disappointed actually. For two reasons:

1. We had a brand new unit installed, and two and half months later it's broken down.

2. Had to wait three days for their technician to come out and when they did, we missed them. We weren’t told a time to expect them, or that it’s a full day booking. So my wife took our baby to a café to keep warm. She missed their phone call and now we’re told we can’t have another technician for five more days.

A lot of regrets right now.
