Its a Scam and defaulter company
Its a big scam and they use your car to earn money and will not give you any promised money. They owe me 250$ as they rented out my car for 11 days. But when it comes to pay out my money they stated that they are not in position to pay any money to any of its client. So don't give them your car at all.

No payment for over 6 months
I have used the service a few times, always as a customer, renting out my car. The first couple of times I have received my share of the rental as the agreement stated. meeting end of November. Save yourself from the pain. Don't give them your car. Take an uber/ taxi or shuttle to the airport and avoid them. Once a good service, has become an disappointment. My car was driven over 2300 km, which I don't mind. But when you don't get paid and they keep all earnings, that it is unfair and not a company you should make business with.Similar opinion? Beware its a scam now
Highly shocked on the way Carhood is acting and not replying to my emails to pay my money which they share while renting your car and denying to reimburse my taxi fare from Airport to their location this time as they did not provide me shuttle service. Even in past I used their service and they advised to use taxi after hours and they will reimburse the cost.

Firstly I haven't received my earnings till now a total of $124 and nobody from Carhood is replying when will I get that or show me proof of how many days actually my car was rented out as I left my car for 23 days and it shows rented for only 14 days. Secondly, I have two tolls that were auto-debited from my Linktgo account (total $4.13 + $1.45 = $5.58) because the person you gave my car to drove in toll areas without paying it. So that's another loss of $5.58 for me Thirdly I used Carhood service in past as well and was reimbursed for the taxi when shuttle service wasn't available. As you guys have moved your location very far from Melbourne Airport the Taxi fare has come out to be $54.99 (I shared the invoice with support team of Carhood as well) which is way too expensive for me to pay and defeats the whole purpose of using Carhood to save money. In total, I'm at a loss of $184.58 plus all my cars wear and tear, etc which reverses the whole point of saving money with Carhood. Rather I'm at a major loss using Carhood. I left my car worth $25,000 in good faith with Carhood and now I regret my decision and want to request you to payout all my dues else I will have to raise this matter with the fair trade, ACCC, and VCAT.Hi Steven

Beware! Shonky business
I left my car with Carhood for 67 days and I can see from my account with them, that it was rented out over a dozen times. The car was returned to me, and there were a couple of minor issues... BUT nothing more than the criminal activity of earning money from renting out my car, then not paying me a cent.
I have now been chasing my money owed, for over a year.
I received an email from Carhood 5 months ago (in May 2022) about how excited they were to receive more funding from investors and promised to pay me within 4-6 weeks.
All up, it has now been over 14 months of promises... and I still have not been paid.
Please also check the Current Affair report and many complaints lodged with ACCC.

I first decided to try this 'company' during a 2 week trip overseas from Brisbane n August 2022.
I thought to myself.. what a great idea, this is the airbnb of cars!

Carhood renting out your car ... stay away !!!
Stay away from this company!!! As many others had experienced the same problem, so did we ..... carhood capitalising on renting out your car, but never will pay you. When asking for payment, they keep coming up with all kinds of nonsense. It's not worth it. er. This is it for us ... never again we'll be using Carhood. Rather will pay for a shuttle bus to get to the airport and then will be picked up on return, no questions asked. It is not worth the headache with Carhood, who's customer service is ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING !!! Hardly ever get a response back on an email enquiry, and if you do, it takes more than a week!!! How professional is this?Don't get a third party using your car only for the sake of making a saving on airport parking! And not mentioning the fact if you end up getting a speeding fine (as we did), it is an absolute nightmare to sort it out so you wouldn't end up having to pay the fine. Carefull!!! Damage to car and no Payout, big Scam!!!!
I left my car with them for 6 weeks and on my return after many issues when dropping off and pick up I never got paid, they said they had no money and the new investor will pay. this was Christmas new yar 2018-2019, until today no money!

I traveled oversea for a long time and they never pay me for leasing out my car. It's been for a few months. They did not take care my car and I am paying for damage out of my own pocket.

No Payment! Don't List Your Car!
Got my car back early March 2022, now is already Sept, 6 months ago... My car got damage at the back, cost $450 to fix. No car listed payment no car claim payment either. Email few times no reply; call up, they say only for pick up and drop off service; live chat, they say will get the payment pay as soon as possible but don't know when will get it. I think this company is bankrupt soon. Anyway to report them?

They don’t pay
I left my car with them for a year while I was overseas. I picked it up in December 2018. 10 months and many emails later and I still have not been paid. Their customer service online chat could not tell me when I will get paid and the accounts email address they refer you to does not respond.

No payment after car was rented out
Share my Car and it was rented out for 4 days and i have not received payment. Its almost 2 months now . You cannot call and speak t ok anyone because they direct everycall to a live chat. Did a Livechat with them abd their response was they are still trying to sort out a payment glitch in their system . They also said something about using the funds they receive for other expenses first. Its an absolute scam . They make use of your car to make money, give u free airport parking, promise you 25% but give u nothing .

Carhood avoiding taking responsibility for damage to my car
I was very happy with this service the first 2 times I used it BUT when I picked my car up in June after an overseas trip I discovered on the trip back home that the manufacturer installed sunroof was not working properly.
I called the Sydney location where I had left my car and the manager claimed to have no knowledge of the problem and said to send an email to customer support. I left my car with Carhood Melbourne for 30 days. The car was rented out 21 days and had done 3409Km during the period. After many follow ups I'm still waiting for the payment. I was told that company has cash flow issues and will be paid soon. Now they even don't reply my emails.
Even if they pay you ( Which I doubt ) It's not worth,

My car was stolen while rented out. 10 months later they still owe me $3.5k
I left my car with Carhood while I was travelling overseas. During the trip they informed me my car had been stolen while being rented out.
It's been a nightmare to get hold of them. They still owe me their insurance excess ($3000) and my owner earnings ($500).
Terrible customer service, case manager changed over this period of time, CEO made an excuse statement promising payments would resume within 4 to 6 weeks. It's been more than 2 months since this statement.
They don't take phone requests anymore, you get redirected to a live chat on their website. But the chat is not "live anymore". It's just a gateway to a generic email, with a not followed-up promise to get back to me within 2 business days.
Avoid at all cost.
