Paid for urgent courier
I paid extra for an urgent courier delivery. Waited all day and day end I still don't have it. What's the point of offering an express courier if 'express' means nothing other than extra money on an already expensive item.

PC under warranty, faulty, called them 3 times, no callbacks, Manager not replying back, contacted ACCC and I will go further as this service is not acceptable in Australia

Cheap for a reason......
So Centre com are often the cheapest price which is great until your item fails....Absolutely NO customer service....like i mean No customer service at all.I guess thats why they are so cheap.Will not reply to messages at all for warranty purposes..Luckily my item was only $63 so not the end of the world but just be aware.

Regret for shopping at centrecom
Sold me a discontinued old stock noctua cooler with no 1700 bracket advised me use the 115x not recommended by noctua but staff said it will be ok don't cinebench it. I asked for a refund they suggested a 10 percent restock as it was open I was happy as we were arguing over $119 then store manager rejected the refund as I did not want water cooling and had enought of speening more money with centercom, and it was also my faul that I used click and collect as if I went into the store they would not of allowed it to happen. Read moretakes to get served as the store also payed the surcharge privilege not to wait. That's how you are treated at centercom when you speend $2500 in two days. I contacted noctua with in 1 hr acknowledged the issue going to send out a free bracket 2 to 4 weeks wait as I can't find them any were to buy the backplate. So son needs to wait before he can use the system. Rtx 3070 Gigabyte just wanted to check the pcie connecters as some had bent power pins on forums and did not want to get home and find any issue or get accused for incorrect install. Was told do what ever you want as it's now yours but dont make a mess on the counter while inspecting.- 2 reviews
Online is best
Always satisfied . . . . As long as I don't try for counter service, it really is bad.
Apart from that, online rocks people.
Price is deceiving
Price show online not mention Gst, however when you bought it. the invoice next day is total different. Very deceiving

Worst experience
I chose Auspost Same Day Evening and paid for the delivery on Tuesday. It showed it was received by someone else. I don't know who he/she is. Then, I contacted them online and they asked me to call Auspost. Later, Auspost said it would be returned because they wrote their company's name in the address. Excitement soured to wish Id bought it elsewhere.
having requested assistance to build a "workmans" top end pc for code cutting not games, I was very clear on no noise, no lights, its for work, I had a discussion with someone allegedly in the build process where we discussed component size and the use of a cooler to lessen noise, and no LED lighting.
Very disappointed to have something that lights up the room. Asus B550 taichi razor mother board, 64G ram, SSD Drives, AMD Ryzen 9 5950 $4k
Asus cant turn the cooler off, software to turn the RAM LEDs stopped working with a Win 10 update. And how much software do you have to load to control a LED. Asus bloatware.
No help from Asus, nor Centre com - first and last purchase from them.
Excellent but Australian Post is a mess.
I bought the MSI Skyhawk LHR RTX 3080 on October 7th. When I inquired about verifying my credit card I got a response on the date of purchase within 2hrs. Auspost being auspost sent my order after receiving it on the 9th to QLD by mistake so it wasn't until the 25th of October that I got my card in Canberra. Other than that my experience with Centre Com was really great.
Worst Costumer Service and no accountability
I have bought a Lenovo thinkbook there during the latest lockdown and the consumer concretely defective, mouse doesn't work several problems with the software . After several calls they says that due to pandemic they could not have a look to the problem. After lockdown ended and after several calls instead of replacing the laptop that doesn't function properly the say that thy could have a look and I could leave the laptop 6 weeks with them. Not refund, not replacement of laptop and an attempt of repairing an item that bought completely new. That is not acceptable. I di not recommend to buy any item there.
Alright but a few issues
Good company and products but difficult dealing with overseas call centre. Would be great if they used local call centres.

Very helpful Warranty department.
I've been building, repairing and programming computers for over 30 years and up until recently I've found Centre Com the best value and most helpful of all of the computer stores I've ever dealt with.
I had a problem with the computer chair I'd purchased from the Frankston store recently, due to it being far too short.
After assembling it, I realized how short it was and that there was nothing stated on the packaging, so called instructions or the Centre Com site, regarding height specifications for this chair.

I explained all of this to staff at the store and I was informed that I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee, stating that was their “change of mind” policy, despite explaining to them about my health issues and that this was not just a change of mind. I've been a regular customer at the Frankston store for many years and have taken other people there for computer builds and upgrade purchases, including a major business in Pakenham. I have to say that I wasn't very impressed with the attitude of the store in regard to returning the chair after having been a regular customer for so long, with them making a lot of money from me and people I've recommended them to.- Verified
Packaging Perfection
Shipped on time. The hardware configuration is the same as described. Considering the same performance, AMD's CPU power consumption is lower than Intel, I brought this desktop for my own Christmas gift. The package contains a matching backup line,it's great. I‘m very satisfied with the wireless network card of my desktop, network speed is really fast. RTX3070 is good for my daily work and entertainment. Maybe I will consider replacing my monitor in the future.

These guys have had me running after a refund for 4 months
I purchased an external HD caddy in June from Centrecom Sunshine, after 3 weeks it started causing problems/ I asked to return it, they had Click & Collect, but were unable to assist me until Lockdown was over. I returned it early November, 2 weeks later they notified me it was faulty and offered a replacement. This was the second of these I have had from Centrecom which developed faults, so I asked for refund- $55.00.
I have had various notifications on progress, 10 days ago an email to say it had been refunded to my Credit Card account. Then...

These guys have had me running around for a week now. Still unresolved
Ordered a seagate ssd online. Delivery was fast so I was happy with that but had trouble initialising the ssd. Went to the Elsternwick store in person to buy an enclosure for the ssd. Guy sold me an enclosure for a hdd, for 20 bucks without checking with me if it was what I wanted. Kinda ‘force-sold’ it to me. I was skeptical (I build computers too, storeperson assumed I was a noob) I asked if he was sure it’d work with an ssd, he assured me it would. Tested it at home, sure enough it didn’t work. Worst online shopping experience I have ever had.
6 weeks and items still have not arrived. No effort made to refund or resend items and best reply I have been able to get is we will see what the delivery agent says. Obviously they are mute as still not heard anything. Avoid dealing with this company!
Good catch at the right time
Was checking out the usual PC sites for pricing. Centrecom was slightly more expensive, but along came the 2021 Black Friday sales. They equalled the best price for one component plus excellent price reductions on two more items. Neither of which were in the "nice to have when money allows"
Site was dirt easy to navigate.. typing in the name/model number in search box
Delivered (free) very fast and well insulated against transport damage. Products arrived 100% undamaged.
But you have to know your product & PRICE because not all touted reductions are value.. some not at all.
Dodgy product, customer support is non-existent
Bought an $800 monitor last week.
When I opened the box, the tape on the side were already cut open.
There was no plastic wrapping on the monitor.
Also the product was faulty.
Took it back to the shop they say they can't do a return because of "COVID"
I said its a faulty product and showed the evidence of photos and videos but wouldn't accept them.
The product was dodgy, and they kept repeating that unless the issue was found on site they wouldn't give me a refund.
Very disappointed, don't buy anything from here.
