Great service, with very knowledgeable staff
Physical storeStaff were at the ready right from the start and our transaction went through a few iterations before it was finalised; with a few big changes that worked out for the better.

Top service, great staff, good communications
Physical storeI have purchased a few things over the years from Computer Alliance and have always found them to be great. Recent purchases via ebay were fast and well packed, their communications (in response to questions) were almost instantaneous.

Brilliant, helpful staff; great prices and a huge range
Physical storeStaff were extremely helpful, very patient and not pushy at all. We went in to get a school laptop for my daughter at what was one of the busiest times of year with the store full of customers. The staff took the time to sit down, work out would meet the requirements and showed us several options, and then left us to have a look. They were happy to come back over and answer questions, and worked to get us the rigjt laptop for the job required - they didnt try to push more expensive ones on to us, but came up with the best solution at a reasonable price. I bought a monitor for myself as well. 10/10 will be a return customer

Vive VR headset
Physical storeI purchased HTC Vive and I like it when it works, Google " Vive headset not tracking" for a better picture. After setup it worked fine until I shifted my PC to the other side of the room, I left the base stations where they were and that is when I ran into tracking problems [headset not working] so I shifted it back and it worked again. A few weeks later I thought I had resolved the problem and tried relocating my PC again, same result, headset not tracking, I shifted it back again and then had problems with the base stations not picking
... Read more up, they had not been moved and I have just fixed that, for now. I also checked the internet download speed at the new location I had for my PC [WiFi connection] and it was a bit slower than its current location this indicates some interference which could be affecting the Vive, I think the Vive is pretty sensitive to interference of any kind and that is what they are not telling you. However if you can cope with that the ability to move around even in a limited fashion still beats the sit or stand options hands down. Though I think this may well go the same way as 3D for similar reasons, pity because I like both.I just answered my own comment I did not look at the name.

Computer Alliance - the store
Physical storeI have been dealing with Computer Alliance (CA) for a long time, as a retail customer. I find the staff to be knowledgeable and pleasant. My best example would be with my last computer, which I specified out, and built, having bought everything except the monitor from CA. On assembly, I found that the connectors for the case front to the m/bd were miles apart caused by the case design and m/bd layout. CA took over the almost-finished job and solved the problem for me free of charge.
I have never felt any reason to discontinue buying there, and thoroughly recommend the store.

Physical storeWalked in, was instantly excited seeing all the computer goodies, sales staff were great to deal with, I got what I wanted at a great price, thank you again Alex! However I did email a request for purchase/hardware swap and maintenance, and received back a response that didn't encourage me to proceed with the request. Hopefully things will work out better next time.

Absolutely top computer store
Physical storeI am extremely happy with my purchase at computer alliance and the quality of product and the customer support i recieved for my custom build within minutes of the purchase. I will deffinetely be shopping hear from now on. The only thing i was dissapointed with was the lack of communication for cables i would need such as a dvi cable for the graphics card. But in all i love the computer.

Brett was very informative and his colleagues were as equally helpful. I made the 50 min trip from Strathpine after visiting two other computer stores on the north side. Computer Alliance made my new laptop decision very easy, Brett was genuinely interested in helping me solve my computer needs. They have a great stock of current models. You will not see cheaper prices anywhere. There listed price is their best price so you don't have to waste time trying to get a better price. I saved over $400 buying $2000 dollars worth of computer gear compared to other stores. 5/5 Keep up the good work guys.

Physical storeI've been to a lot of computer stores in Brisbane over the years - Sunlit, Concorde, the horrific original saturday morning queue for Gamedude, the exciting Discshop, when you could browse for what you wanted. Without question, Computer Alliance is my preferred destination of them all. Umart is often slightly cheaper - but, location and Sunday operating hours give them edge. That being said, I'm 100% sure that there will be negative reviews on here, from time to time, from less patient people who are exasperated by how busy this store is. G
... Read moreranted, I tend to visit in peak hours - but it seems to me that the staff rarely get a moments rest and I often see people displaying less than stellar patience at this. Criticisms (minor): I agree with someone saying they can take a long time to find a product from the back. I do not agree with their stipulation that if you pay via paypal, you must have it posted. If I were them, I would consider reworking the store to make the queue / customer service area just a tad bit more spacious. It can get quite cramped in that queue. Half the store, the laptop area has better space - yet it is rarely the "traffic" area.Great store, great selection and great service
Physical storeHave been shopping with Computer Alliance for well over 10 years now. They have always had very competitive prices, been truthful with stock and have looked after all of my warranty issues without a hitch! I have bought everything from general PC peripherals, network gear, numerous laptops, PC and Notebook hardware (SSD, HDD, RAM, DVD-RW, case fans, etc) and external hard drives. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they will even suggest alternative stores that can provide the required product that they may not hold (AKA specific SSD's for Macbooks). 5 Stars, always recommend!

Physical storeI find the staff at Computer Alliance to be extremely helpful and generally know their stuff. There is a great range of products from well known companies and the prices are extremely competitive.
The website makes it very easy to find the product you are after and I found the computer builder quite helpful when I was building my system.

Got keyboard replaced in store after 1 year
Physical storeTook failed microsoft keyboard there with all receipts, while expecting them to push me to microsoft. i was just giving it a try and they gave me a new one. the guy doing it was very friendly and quick. the people on sales counter seem a bit odd (nerd?). not the big smile you get in a boutiqes, but I don't go there to buy smiles!

Physical storeme and my husband have purchased a few items from Computer Alliance (Mt Gravatt) . We purchased a PC and we spent at least $2,500 (we asked for the best specs). Since that day; the hard drive has failed twice! unbelievable! we had to get them replaced twice! this is so unfortunate for us as we have lost most of our important docs and memorable photos of our wedding which is quite important for us!
on top of that, we also purchased this "tv converter" software from them, and again, we had to return the product twice as it never worked properl
