Absolutely ridiculous
3 out out of 4 laptops delivered
Yet I got an email stating all 4 were delivered.
Lucky I have security cameras that show only 3 and a courier company that shows only 3 were available to pick up from your pick up location.
Right near Christmas oh yay I'm going to enjoy explaining to my kids why only 3 out of 4 could have a laptop and why Santa forgot them.
Do better you don't even have a contact number
as bad as Kogan because it is Kogan
I am happy with Dick Smith as long as I get the product I paid for because I have always found the quality matches the price, (same with Kogan). However when you have a problem such as no delivery or if you need to return a product, NOT A CHANCE!!! Dick Smith or Kogan, (as they are the same outfit) do not engage or allow you to engage in conversation requesting answers. They have no email address and no FB page and they simply have a complaint or a Q & A that just sends you round in circles. So I got most of my order but a pair of Guinness log

Dick Smith signed me up for a Kogan First membership of $99.00 when I purchased two small items. Very sneaky and deceptive conduct. BUYER BEWARE. I will contact ACCC today and update scammed buyers so taht they can do the same thing.

Quality and Service are terrible.
This company has a long way to go, absolute scam.
Poor quality, premium pricing.
If you require a refund you will only get credit that expires.
Their service department is the slowest on the market, but their pricing is almost double what you will find in other stores. I think this brand was built on integrity, but really lost it when it went online. Do not shop here.

I bought something online at Dick Smith. The next day I get an email stating "Your free FIRST trial ends on 6 Dec 2023 at 11:59pm. You will not be billed until after your free trial ends. After your free trial, your FIRST Membership will automatically renew and we'll charge your account $99.00 annually. You can cancel anytime from your Customer Dashboard.
I didn't ask for a FIRST membership. Are you allowed to "automatically" renew my "free" membership that I didn't ask for? I gave my credit card details to buy someone a gift at Xmas. That's all. Isn't it against common law that I have to go back online to cancel something I didn't sign up for? ACCC? Consumer Guidelines?
Tricked me into paying $99 extra
They trick you into joining a “cllub” that bills you i $99 a year. This is sneaky and underhand and should bevillegal.

Just now I saw on my bank account I have been deducted $99.00 without my consent. I did bought a $30 item online and it required me to register on their website. Item came but after a week, this charge took place. After searching apparently, it was said that I applied for being a member of Kogan First. NEVER do I wanted to be a member. I hope you return my HARD earned money back. Very dissapointed. Please do something about this.

I purchased a teddy for my kid (which hasn't even been received) and was charged for a $99 subscription that I never even added to my cart. There are no numbers to call and impossible to get support. When you send an email request for assistance the response is simply they will 'get back to you as soon as they can'

Misleading- $99 subscription charged!
Like other people have commented here I was signed up to a Kogan first subscription after I had purchased something from Dick Smith. I had no intention of entering into such a subscription and I would never use it.
I have emailed Dick Smith Customer Service and I expect a Refund without delay. If this doesn’t happen I will contact everyone here who has been charged the subscription amount and I will contact Consumer Affairs, the Ombudsman and A Current Affair. This behaviour is unethical and creating hardship for people in these tough economic times.

I was signed up to a $99 FIRST plan without knowing when making a purchase - which seems to have happened to quite a few people reading through the reviews here. Attempting the cancel the FIRST subscription does not work when moving through the suggested motions. The only option they allow is to “keep subscription and benefits” when you click “cancel subscription”.
I have contacted the help desk days ago and followed up but still no response.
Really icky tactic to wrought unsuspecting people out of $99, especially those who may not be super computer savvy.

Don't buy items from Dick Smith
I ordered a brand new iphone X as advertised and was expecting a brand new iphone as mentioned in the Dick Smith website, but received a faulty, old iPhone and had to go through hell. I couldn’t even switch it on. I contacted Apple support and they couldn’t resolve this and they advised me to take it to an Apple store, which I did. There they found out that this phone is not brand new.
Then I sent back the phone as Dick Smith advised and received a replacement phone.

This was very disappointing to have continuously sending faulty phones, which I though Dick Smith is a genuine and reliable online seller. When I put the iPhone to charge as soon I received for hours it doesn’t even startup. I contacted Apple support and they couldn’t resolve this and they advised me to return the phone to the seller. To my surprise, that phone was not a new phone as well. After going through all the hassle, Dick Smith just offered me a refunding option even without consulting me on that. As a courtesy, DS didn't even offer me available options and also, I was expecting a brand new working phone as mentioned in the returned product as well. Going through this bad experience twice, I would never recommend anyone to buy from Dick Smith, they are scamming customers. DonHi there,

Ive been signed up for a $99 yearly membership without my consent after I ordered a couple of items. I tried to cancel but even this option doesnt seem to work. If anyone can tell me how to cancel my membership before Im charged I would appreciate it. This is deceptive business practice. Also Ive suddenly been getting lots of emaiks from Kogan which Im not interested in. Im told Kogan and Dick Smith are now connected.
