Small stone chip in windscreen...... $380 later - what a joke.Claim they lost 2 days hire. Any windscreen repair company will repair in 30 minutes. Wasn't discovered at drop off.... received notification when we arrived at our flight destination. Not even sure it happened while we used the car.

We were lied to
We rented a car from Enterprise at Hobart airport. On the day we were to return the car a rock was flicked up by a passing truck and smashed the front quarter window. I told them about it on returning the car and they insisted on taking $1000 as an excess, promising that the car would be repaired within 2 days and the balance returned to my account, along with the paperwork to allow me to make a claim against my insurance. When I contacted the head office after a week and having heard nothing, they said that’s not how the process goes and they shouldn’t have told you that. They were obviously well practiced at this little routine- absolutely disgraceful.

Took my money when they messed up!
In attempting to manage my booking well in advance of the booking date, the computer system would not work properly. The location staff put me onto head office and head office gave me a random email address. After being messed around for much of the day trying to adjust this booking: fudging about online, ringing the rental outlet, ages on hold, two calls to Head Office and an email to whoever is at the other end of the “nicadmin” address, I had to cancel my booking and start again. BUT THEN, to top it all off, even though I cancelled within th...Read more
e stipulated three day no fee period, I have been charged for my cancellation! I have spent hours trying to resolve the simplest of issues that frontline staff have not been given the power to resolve. I have been given a number to a UK helpline (to resolve an issue with a booking just down the road from me in Melbourne!), a number which will not connect! It is not only a shocking way to do business but completely unfair to put frontline staff in this position, doing their best to help under impossible circumstances, while a nameless, unseen backend entity is illegitimately taking customers’ money and not allowing frontend staff any power to rectify it. Even the contact number stipulated in the booking does not connect and the reply email bounces. Unbelievably bad not to mention terribly disconcerting from a security perspective.Similar opinion? Worse rental car company in Australia
Enterprise car rental is the worst rental company in Australia. Not only do they cancel customers bookings without notice or consideration on how the customer will be affected but they treat and rip their staff off
There staff don’t get correct lunch breaks, they not get paid correct commissions, they don’t follow Australian laws as providing a safe and healthy working environment, they don’t follow water restrictions and I would have to say their owner Dan Mekler is only interested in lining his pocket with money and under paying his employees and mis treating them in the work place

Got an upgraded car and smooth pickup drop
I booked online with third party Enjoy car rental. Although my pickup/drop location was Cairns downtown, the guy at the airport counter gave changed it to pickup/drop from the airport itself. On top of that we got a bigger car on the same price as well. Just a note, the price the third party quoted didn't include GST, so we paid 15 dollars more than the original quote, but we didnt mind that as the service was great.

Beware of extra fees on credit card
When booking direct on www.enterpriserentacar.com.au be aware that despite the website looking like it's Australian, your credit card will be chared a foreign transaction fee due to their account being based in the UK. This is an unwelcome surprice as nowhere on their website is this mentioned.

Renter beware
Initially hAppy with the car & insurance daily rate including unlimited Kim...but after returning the vehicle we were debited with “a time & distance fee”. Most expensive hire rate ever.
No explanation of fee.. just a money grab.
Never again

Super easy and reliable
Pick up and drop off from Hobart airport. No hidden costs, payed extra through rental cars.com for full insurance cover which is what the staff said is the best way for us to be covered. Staff nice and easy to deal with, quick pick up and drop off process. Free upgrade from a 2 door small car to a 4WD which made the trip even more comfortable. Would definitely use again!

Fantastic Car, You Will Be Ripped Off On Wotif
The car was a brand new Toyota Corolla and it was brilliant for a Tassie holiday. However, using Wotif to rent it as part of a package was a big mistake. The true costs are not shown on Wotif during the booking process and there is pressure to buy. Their booking platform is totally not transparent. There is no option to buy excess reduction insurance on Wotif which other websites provide. You will be charged an exorbitant rental fee on Wotif for an Enterprise/Alamo vehicle and then also be sold an exorbitant insurance policy when you go to pic...Read more
k the car up, otherwise you don't get the car. You will get ripped off twice. The car hire company Enterprise or Alamo is the same and you can rent a car from them using another online company much more cheaply and buy cheaper insurance at the same time. In addition. part of the amount you pay with another company I identified is refundable and the process is also more transparent. It is a very bad idea idea to buy a flights + hotel package + car rental through Wotif. You will just be giving money away. It is clever how they do it of course and it is how they make their profits. Next time I will not use Wotif.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Liars. Unhelpful.
I have received very poor service from this branch. I was initally told I would receive my invoice via email after dropping the car off and my bond back within a week.
I had to call 3 times just to receive an email with invoice. I was told on the first call that I would be receving my full bond back. I waited a week and received nothing so called on the 13th and was told it would be in my account by the 16th. I still didn't receive the funds so called again on the 17th and was told it would be released and in my account that day. We are now on...Read more

Perfect experience renting through Enterprise
Hired a ASX while in Tasmania for 10 days. Enterprise was great. Good clean car. Good customer service and easy return. They even let us park at their city depot while we visited Hobart for the day. Would recommend highly.

Dont bother hiring a child car seat, bring your own as they make you fit theirs anyway, waste of money
We hired a car seat for our two year old for the sole reason that after a flight we knew he would be tired and cranky and wanted to make things as quick and easy as possible . When we picked up the car they informed us we had to install the seat ourselves, so we ended up paying for a convenience they didnt actually deliver . We could have brought our own seat ( which airlines check for free ) and saved ourselves the extra fee . When I told the customer service this she simply replied that because we booked online via Vroom Vroom they were only...Read more
responsible for supplying the car ! I told her since they were supplying the car in fact they WERE responsible for customer service to which we were granted silence and no further assistance. Ended up paying for and fitting ourselves a car seat of inferior quality to our own all with a screaming toddler waiting ....exactly what we had planned ( any payed extra !) to avoid . Not happy. The car itself was fine .Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst car hire company !!! Do not hire !!!
My hire car was NOT ready at the time of my arrival! I got there an hour late and they have given my car car to someone else.
I had already booked and payed for the car in advance, so my arrival time should not have mattered. In what world is the car to be given away to another party because "I didn't pick it up on time". Their terms and conditions are not clearly stated on the rental voucher.
Furthermore, tourists are the main users of rental cars. Most tourists DO NOT have access to phones while travelling (which was our case), and therefore we physically COULD NOT call them even if we wanted. It is clearly a money making scheme.
I now have spend more than $600 on my trip that should've costed me $200.

Rats In The Car!
I rented at late model BMW for a few days over the Christmas holidays. The car overheated and had to be returned on Christmas Eve, they gave us a lesser model as nothing else was available. A few months later they tried to charge me for the damage, approx $4K claiming wires were chewed by rats and that's why the car overheated! I consulted a BMW mechanic who said "while it's possible for rodents to damage a vehicle's wiring, it's impossible to determine exactly when (unless you catch them in the act) as this type of 'chewed' damage can be done ...Read more
weeks or months before the wire's connection actually breaks". We only had the car for a few days in a pretty nice suburb. We were suspicious about this claim and hired a pest control specialist to inspect the rental location and they reported it was an "absolute breeding ground for rodents, close to the lake, semi-industrial area, and un-kept growth directly surrounding the garage and lot where the cars are stored". This was a terrible experience, I urge extreme caution or go somewhere else.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Compliments
We rented a car at Sydney Airport on a last minute decision on 14th August 2022 around 8am. Staff was friendly and helpful and all documentation was done swiftly. Same goes with the car handover at the carpark and return of the car the same day. Good work !

Terrible terrible terrible...more than 6 months and we still waiting for the refund of our insurance excess ~$650 even though we were not at fault and provided all required details of the party at fault.
Friendly advise NOT to hire from them please. We kept calling and nobody bothered to return calls.
