Love this machine - It is quiet and gets on with the job!

published

This is my 2nd Fisher & Paykel top loading machine, previous one lasted about 15 years. I have had this machine for approx 1.5 years and it hasn't missed a beat, it is quiet and cleans beautifully and very easy to operate.
And a shout out to appliances on line, they take away the old and replace with the new, they plug it all in to make sure it operates OK.
You wont be disappointed with this purchase.

Great machine, cannot fault. Love it. First machine lasted over 15 years then gave away as needed a bigger one, second was 9 years old and going strong, gave to my son as starting out in his first place. Newest one even better!

Got this machine as an upgrade from my MW058 (which still works flawlessly even though it’s 22 years old) two years ago and I was surprised that they haven’t dropped in quality at all it washes everything you put in it with great results I hop to get at least 10 years out of it

This washing machine is amazing to use. We are a family of 5 and constantly need to wash laundry. It is functional and saves me half the time compared to my last washing machine! Fully recommend this product to everyone as it’s useful and stylish.

Monster bowl

Can fit ALL the family towels with room to spare. Monster wooden blankets too. Best buy since last size ‘industrial’ washer too small. Everything automatic. Spinner cycle almost dries them too. This machine is not wet behind the ears!

Does the job quietly

published

Gets my clothes clean and handles big loads without unbalancing. Button layout is easy to see and use. I avoid using the auto water level as I have found that it is too conservative and did not rinse the washing powder off sufficiently; no issues when manually set with a generous level. Super quiet. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

So easy to use. A great washing machine that will make your clothes clean and fresh. It senses the amount on clothes you have put in and adjusts the water level to suit.

On the HEAVY cycle only when it is on the last spin it sounds like a coin is spinning around under the bowl. It doesn't make the noise on any other cycle.
I have a repairer coming to have a look but would value any comments if anyone else has had this happen and what it could be.

Fisher & Paykel Series 5 Top Loader Washing Machines

Details

Features:

  • You can buy the Fisher & Paykel Series 5 Top Loader Washing Machines with capacities of 7kg, 8kg, 8.5kg, or 10kg.
  • Depending on the model you buy, you get either 6 or 12 wash cycles, including Delicate and Allergy.
  • A soft close lid makes this washing machine family safe, preventing it from slamming down.
  • The machines have fast spin speeds of 1100rpm, helping remove water from your clothes efficiently.
  • They also have Eco-Active™ technology that recirculates water and detergent through your laundry, so you don’t use as much hot water to clean your clothes.

Points of praise:

  • Most reviewers found that this top loader cleaned and spun laundry well, and noted that their things came out of the machine almost dry.
  • They also reported that the button layout was easy to see and use.
  • According to reviewers, the machine is energy efficient.

Pain points:

  • Some reviewers said that their machine started going off balance, with a few saying that this started happening often after a few years of use.
  • A number of reviewers were also disappointed to find out that they could only do a hot wash on the Allergy setting, despite advertised otherwise.

Something to consider:

  • If you want a lint filter, you need to purchase it separately as it does not come with the machine.
