Very Fast, Very Knowledgable, Great Price
Mohammad, the owner of the business, took one look at my iPhone and knew instantly the model, price and time to change the screen over. His was the best price around. Quite astounding how fast the change was. Looks new again.
I couldn’t have done anything without their help
Great service, and his politeness was amazing. I could not have done what I needed without their help. Thank you so much for the service.
BEWARE - dodgy phone repair breaks again within month and bad service.
BEWARE! Had phone screen repaired incorrectly by this store and it had already started to break within the following week. This was the second time they did a repair for me jn last three months incorrectly. They basically make you pay in cash so there are no receipts - you can provide them with the date and rime of the transaction and they will refuse to look it up in his receipt book despite it having a list of all repairs with phone number model and repair type. The fact they want to trade only in cash should have been a red flag to begin with - but am determined no one else wastes money here for dodgy work.
Not Impressed
Our first visit to Fone Galaxy was on 23rd December, we went in for a screen protector for a brand new phone, the retail assistant also recommended we get a phone case to have the best protection for the phone, which we did, all up we spent $90. Considering our previous case for an old phone was just $3 (which lasted so well!) from a clothes shop, the new case seemed pretty expensive.
A month later, at the end of January we noticed the phone case had a split in it, at the side where the volume buttons are, so today we went in and asked for a

We were told the best they could do was give us a new case for $30 as "this has never happened before" and we got the case months ago, this is not the true we got the case 6 weeks ago. We expected better service for a faulty item.Find out how Fone Galaxy compares to other Phone / Computer Repair Services

Quick fix
I broke my phone last night and this guys fixed it in 15 mins and I didn't even lost my data. Other places where not sure about the data and they were taking a day time. This guy at fone galaxy is a pro and I highly recommend it.
Dodgy screen replacement
Went in to get my boyfriends iphone fixed, they didn’t even clean the camera before replacing the screen meaning he could no longer use the front camera. The screen then stopped working about 6 months after with there being no cracks
Dodgy Dealers
I purchased a refurbished Samsung S6 from Fone Galaxy Newtown. As soon as I got it home the problems started - phone overheating, microphone not working and worst of all, a data connection issue - I couldn't access the Internet at all.
My partner took the phone back to the store and was told there would be no repair or replacement under warranty as the screen had a slight crack after I had sat with it in my back pocket.
I took the phone to some phone repair centres but they were unable to fix the data issue. It appeared I had lost $350.
Up
... Read moreon further investigation as to why I couldn't access data on the phone I eventually discovered that the phone was originally from overseas (Russia) and according to Samsung, is not compatible with the Australian network was unlikely to work in this country. So I was intentionally sold a phone that was never going to work and was deliberately misled by Fone Galaxy Newtown so they could profit from my loss. I rang Fone Galaxy Newtown to discuss this with the Manager and he started yelling at me down the phone and shouting over the top of me. So I went into the store determined to get my money back. When I arrived he demanded I leave the store. I refused as I have every right to be there under consumer law. He called the police and told them who knows what and next thing, with sirens wailing and lights flashing, I'm arrested and handcuffed in the middle of Newtown. The police later released me without charge after reviewing the security cameras and Fone Galaxy Newtown faced no police action. In Australia, the Copyright Act 1968 and the Trade Marks Act 1995, and the Designs Act 2003 all contain provisions designed to expressly permit parallel importing - so it's legal for Fone Galaxy Newtown to sell me a parallel import, but it's not legal for them to deceive me into thinking I'm getting a phone that works as expected. To do so makes Fone Galaxy a dodgy dealer and I will be taking them up on this along with a number of other legal mattersQuestions & Answers
