first refrigerated airconditioner

published

Had this unit installed in the main bedroom of my 87yr old mum's main bedroom for the oncoming Brisbane summer.Turn it on with the remote and hit the power fan button and it cools the room in 4 minutes and keeps it at 25 degrees easily. The unit is quiet apart from the fact the compressor is mounted on the wall off the ground and a low hum is audible in the next room but if it was mounted on the ground i'm pretty sure it would make no noise at all.Installation was done by H&H and they did a neat and tidy job and it was done in about three hours on the second floor dwelling.Turn it on and walk away,it's cool.

Worth every cent

published

Purchased the unit just before Christmas 2016, installation process went smoothly, cools like your in the arctic! Icy cold! And super quiet, I don't like air conditioner noise even low, subtle noise but this I can hardly hear.. lovely! Unit is easy to use, cold, quiet and reliable. It looks good, unimposing on the wall, smooth finish and nice edges. I ummed and arrhed about getting it but it was well worth it. This is the second Fujitsu we have in the house, we would definitely buy another.

Quiet and efficient

published

Bought this mid-December to keep the main bedroom cool, glad I did. The unit is extremely quiet in operation, in fact it is often left on all night long and doesn't disturb our sleep at all. Put the fan on full speed for 5 minutes then down to low to maintain temperature of 18C - perfect.

Excellent!

Purchased 2 months ago. Very happy. Extremely quiet and cools bedroom very well. This is my third Fujitsu. Highly recommend. It has different speeds. Sleep mode and fast. It also deodorisers the room by killing airborne bacteria. Easy filter access and it has a five year manufacturers warranty. I’ll stick with Fujitsu.

Not worth buying

published

Not happy with the Heating or Cooling, although it's quiet, but the unit locks up, (won't stop or start, does it's own thing when like this) cooling when first purchased was great for two days, then I could get cooler in front of a fan, contacted the installer he re-gassed, (a few times), still a problem, contacted Fujitsu, their agent passed the buck and said to contact the installer, absolutely hopeless, I would recommend buying a fan, it would use less electricity and get you cooler.

Fabulous A/C

published

This a/c is great value. Has a super quiet setting. Really a wonderful feature for the bedroom. The remote is easy to use and has a wall mount.
It has a neat compact outside unit.
Seamed to be easy to install back to back.
2.5kw gets the bedroom chilly very quickly.

Bad Warrenty service, average engineering & functionality.

published

Units poor design plastic crimp flex fittings failed on the first attempt at heating in winter due to the lines expanding, lost all gas.
Fujitsu claimed installer error and that was that.
Had to have the system re gased and new braised copper fittings and elbows installed.
since then 12 months on all seems to be functioning fine.
The area it cools is my home theatre which is more than up to task.
Another poor function is adjusting the main fins to a downward position for airflow direction towards the floor, only for them to return towards thr roof after 10mins or so. Its quite annoying.
I would not buy another fujitsu if i had my time again.

Only last 12 month.

published

It's been good for only first twelve month. Died suddenly in the middle of summer in Far North Queensland, authorized service agent is fully booked for next 3 weeks. I'm not just disappointed but really angry for poor engineering.

This is the shortest life white-goods my family had ever owned. Rubbish, Rubbish, true Rubbish.

Good Product!! No Cashback even after 3 months !!

I am happy with the product & its performance. No doubts about that. I applied for cashback mid-August & today is the last week of November. I have called & emailed them multiple times on the number provided. No body has an answer. I believe nobody cares & i have started losing hope now as well.

Thanks for the suggestion Fujitsu but what are they going to do, resign the AC's circuitry to resonate at other rpm? I some how don't think so. This fault is built in to the air conditioner itself unfortunately.

Still noisy even on quiet mode

published

We bought this unit thinking it would be very quiet but was disappointed to find out it is not that quiet, especially at night time. The unit is noisier than advertised even on quiet mode. In terms of its cooling capacity (haven't tried the heating yet as just bought it), it cools down relatively fast and is quite cold even at 23 degrees. It is relatively cheap and is a good investment if noise doesn't affect your sleeping.

Noisy

published

As a lot of the other reviews have stated the unit is very loud. I've had numerous visits from the installer and Fujitsu regarding this, the inside noise has now been fixed, the outside unit is mounted on the roof and vibrates through into the roof beams. We have got to point where the Fujitsu engineer has advised me that the unit would need to be moved to prevent the noise. Very frustrating as I already have a Fujitsu unit on the roof which is a larger model but quieter, and has no rubber feet to prevent excessive noise.

Hi Ben, Thank you for taking the time to place your feedback on Product Review. Your custom is important to us. In regards to your question please be advised the error 94 is a trip detection error. As you have already checked for ay clog or interference we would suggest a reset of your unit turning off at the power supply for 5-10mins to see if this will clear for you. If not, then please call to speak to our QLD Service Team who will do their best to advise the soonest time a technician can attend. Tel: 1300 364 484.
