first refrigerated airconditioner
Had this unit installed in the main bedroom of my 87yr old mum's main bedroom for the oncoming Brisbane summer.Turn it on with the remote and hit the power fan button and it cools the room in 4 minutes and keeps it at 25 degrees easily. The unit is quiet apart from the fact the compressor is mounted on the wall off the ground and a low hum is audible in the next room but if it was mounted on the ground i'm pretty sure it would make no noise at all.Installation was done by H&H and they did a neat and tidy job and it was done in about three hours on the second floor dwelling.Turn it on and walk away,it's cool.

Worth every cent
Purchased the unit just before Christmas 2016, installation process went smoothly, cools like your in the arctic! Icy cold! And super quiet, I don't like air conditioner noise even low, subtle noise but this I can hardly hear.. lovely! Unit is easy to use, cold, quiet and reliable. It looks good, unimposing on the wall, smooth finish and nice edges. I ummed and arrhed about getting it but it was well worth it. This is the second Fujitsu we have in the house, we would definitely buy another.

Quiet and efficient
Bought this mid-December to keep the main bedroom cool, glad I did. The unit is extremely quiet in operation, in fact it is often left on all night long and doesn't disturb our sleep at all. Put the fan on full speed for 5 minutes then down to low to maintain temperature of 18C - perfect.

Excellent!
Purchased 2 months ago. Very happy. Extremely quiet and cools bedroom very well. This is my third Fujitsu. Highly recommend. It has different speeds. Sleep mode and fast. It also deodorisers the room by killing airborne bacteria. Easy filter access and it has a five year manufacturers warranty. I’ll stick with Fujitsu.

Not worth buying
Not happy with the Heating or Cooling, although it's quiet, but the unit locks up, (won't stop or start, does it's own thing when like this) cooling when first purchased was great for two days, then I could get cooler in front of a fan, contacted the installer he re-gassed, (a few times), still a problem, contacted Fujitsu, their agent passed the buck and said to contact the installer, absolutely hopeless, I would recommend buying a fan, it would use less electricity and get you cooler.

Fabulous A/C
This a/c is great value. Has a super quiet setting. Really a wonderful feature for the bedroom. The remote is easy to use and has a wall mount.
It has a neat compact outside unit.
Seamed to be easy to install back to back.
2.5kw gets the bedroom chilly very quickly.

Great Bedroom Air Con
The January heat finally got to us!!!! While we have a big air con unit in family / loungeroom area, sleeping in the bedroom became very difficult and uncomfortable!! We had a Fujitsu 7.5w inverter and are very happy with that so went looking for a smaller model and installation.
Contacted 3 smaller businesses and got quotes to to $1600 - $1800 for either a Fujitsu or similar supplied and installed. Could have got cheaper units but all businesses advised against it!!
Looking online we saw the The Good Guys that the Fujitsu 2.5w model on s...Read more
pecial for $769. They said they can arrange install for $649, making all up cost $1418. Purchased unit on Tuesday: installer phoned Wednesday: installed Thursday!!!!! We were originally told install turn around about a week but due to a cancellation they could do ours almost immediately. Install guys were quick and knew their stuff. About 2.5 hours and all done. You do need to provide a stable base for the external part of the system. I just made a base with some besser blocks on a bed of paver base, sand and cement. Couple of hours work and about $40 spent at Bunnings for stuff. Air Con unit works really well and easily cools our bedroom to the preset temperature. We run the unit on lowest fan setting and the outside unit on quiet mode. You can barely hear either!!! We also set the blade angle in the air con in a fixed position rather than swing to stop have cold air directly. The unit has a proximity sensor which detects movement in the room. If no movement detected after 20 minutes it turns off, which is useless in a bedroom!!!! So make sure you cancel this function. Have not used timer settings. Has an "eco" setting you can use but all that does is not cool (or heat) is far as the temperature you have set. So that is pretty useless. Overall very happy with the Fujitsu and really glad we sent for the better brand rather that accept a cheaper alternative.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Faulty compressor or is it just rubber mounts?
Unit is now almost two years old, cools the bedroom ok but the compressor has a vibration which was being transmitted through the wall bracket into the brick wall adjacent to our heads, and sounded like a truck passing each time it cycled. At my request a Fujitsu service agent came yesterday to investigate, acknowledged the compressor was out of balance and replaced the rubber mounts with "better" ones. Now I ask you is it not proper to fix the problem or just mask it? Yes - we no longer have the noise to deal with but the compressor still shak...Read more
es the outside unit and the unresolved problem in the compressor is surely going to destroy something over time. A circuit board perhaps, crack a pipe or wreck the compressor itself as seems to be the experience of others on this forum? I am about to purchase another air-conditioning unit for a guest room but am having to think seriously about what I buy. I was under the misunderstanding that Fujitsu was one of the better manufacturers, what does one do? Update: Today a Fujitsu serviceman came and replaced the compressor which they had indicated was the source of the vibration. Sorry that I had to tell them that they had only done a band aid job but the local service manager was very quick to say he would replace the compressor if that was what I wanted. So Top marks for their re-assessment of the repair and there were no hash words spoken be either party. That is what service should be! And yes, I will buy another Fujitsu and have up-rated my assessment accordingly.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Vibration, loud and no backlight on remote
Bought this from harvey Norman for our 3m x4m bedroom a few weeks ago and got it installed today.
I didn't lots of research between this one and the Panasonic one and eventually chose this one because it was on sale. I should of paid the extra for the Panasonic.
The outdoor unit vibrates through the brick and because it's right at my head on the other side of the wall when I'm in bed I can feel vibration running through the bed and can hear it, sounds worse on low fan.
It's not powerful at all, on full blast you would think you get cold but ...Read more

Bad Warrenty service, average engineering & functionality.
Units poor design plastic crimp flex fittings failed on the first attempt at heating in winter due to the lines expanding, lost all gas.
Fujitsu claimed installer error and that was that.
Had to have the system re gased and new braised copper fittings and elbows installed.
since then 12 months on all seems to be functioning fine.
The area it cools is my home theatre which is more than up to task.
Another poor function is adjusting the main fins to a downward position for airflow direction towards the floor, only for them to return towards thr roof after 10mins or so. Its quite annoying.
I would not buy another fujitsu if i had my time again.

Only last 12 month.
It's been good for only first twelve month. Died suddenly in the middle of summer in Far North Queensland, authorized service agent is fully booked for next 3 weeks. I'm not just disappointed but really angry for poor engineering.
This is the shortest life white-goods my family had ever owned. Rubbish, Rubbish, true Rubbish.

Good Product!! No Cashback even after 3 months !!
I am happy with the product & its performance. No doubts about that. I applied for cashback mid-August & today is the last week of November. I have called & emailed them multiple times on the number provided. No body has an answer. I believe nobody cares & i have started losing hope now as well.

Noisy
This replaces a Kelvinator 2.6kw which was ok but hard to clean because the front panel cannot be removed. It eventually failed because too much buildup had lodged inside and caused the unit to ice up due to poor airflow.
EDIT: The unit is noisy and very annoying sometimes when you're trying to sleep. Once the temperature reaches desired setting the compressor (being an inverter) sits at a speed where the frequency vibrates the whole block brick house it's mounted on. I hear it all the way from the lounge room mounted on the bedroom wall ot...Read more
her end of the house. It vivrates a sxreen door in the bedroom too and wakes you up. Very annoying but also impossible to 'fix' being an inverter. The Kelvinator didn't do this though To be fair, it usually only lasts a minute or two at a time before changing speeds but by then it's already annoyed us or woken you up2 comments

Hi Jeremy, thank you for providing your feedback on Product Review. Please contact Fujitsu Assist on 1300 658 840 and they will arrange for one our service agents to come and check the operation of your Fujitsu Air Conditioner.
Thanks for the suggestion Fujitsu but what are they going to do, resign the AC's circuitry to resonate at other rpm? I some how don't think so. This fault is built in to the air conditioner itself unfortunately.

Awesome Performance - Better Than Our Daikin, Very Quiet & Looks Good!
We actually purchased two of these units, one for our bedroom (ASTG09KMCA) and one for the lounge (ASTG12KMCA).
These units have been installed in the main rooms we use most of the time in addition to our ducted reverse cycle unit. The ducted system is 5 years old and has very poor performance in heating, had it inspected by a few technicians including Daikin themselves. Apparently our system doesn't act as an inverter in heat mode (Yeah... Apparently that's a "thing"!), just cooling, causing hot and cold spots all over the place. That coupl...Read more
ed with frequent oil return cycles, it has left us high and dry. Needless to say two splits now provide plenty of warmth for a majority of our home. For the bedroom unit, quiet consistent operation was important, especially for the outdoor unit as it's a wall mounted back-to-back setup. The first day it was installed, there was some minor vibration that could be heard resonating through the wall, repositioning some of the rubber mounts solved this problem. Apart from this one installation teething problem, we were not disappointed with the unit at all. I will also add that this unit only has 1 meter of refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor. Received some conflicting information saying 1 meter is fine, others recommended 3 meters to minimise noise transmission. We could really only do one meter to keep the install neat and tidy. The only noise that might be caused by this is the "running water" sound for a few seconds when the unit is turned on and off.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Still noisy even on quiet mode
We bought this unit thinking it would be very quiet but was disappointed to find out it is not that quiet, especially at night time. The unit is noisier than advertised even on quiet mode. In terms of its cooling capacity (haven't tried the heating yet as just bought it), it cools down relatively fast and is quite cold even at 23 degrees. It is relatively cheap and is a good investment if noise doesn't affect your sleeping.

Noisy
As a lot of the other reviews have stated the unit is very loud. I've had numerous visits from the installer and Fujitsu regarding this, the inside noise has now been fixed, the outside unit is mounted on the roof and vibrates through into the roof beams. We have got to point where the Fujitsu engineer has advised me that the unit would need to be moved to prevent the noise. Very frustrating as I already have a Fujitsu unit on the roof which is a larger model but quieter, and has no rubber feet to prevent excessive noise.

The Hassle and the Noise
I brought a Fujitsu aircon from JB Hi Fi. The outside unit is incredibly noisy. My Mitsubishi units in the other rooms are very quiet, cannot hear the unit outside but the Fujitsu is terrible and just seems slow to react compared to the Mitsi. There was also an offer of a $150 rebate but it was like pulling teeth trying to get the rebate. I had to write numerous emails, make numerous phone calls and more than 3 months later I actually got a prepaid visa, no ability to withdraw cash which I was supposed to be able to. They also offered an e...Read more
xtra $150 prepaid visa for the hassle I went through but then went they sent out the prepaid visa, there was only the $150 for the rebate, nothing else!! Misled again!! Extremely frustrating dealing with both JBs and Fujitsu. Next unit will be another Mitsi for the last few rooms left in the house. The original ones are now 4 years old no troubles. I just fear what will happen with the Fujitsu unit now given all the hassles I have already been through. I dread actually having any warranty issues!Similar opinion?
