POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS!
Harvey Norman, Armadale WA. Verbatim 50 pack CD-R. Approximately 10 percent of every pack DOES NOT WORK! Completely useless. If the 90 percent that did work - fail at a later date - I will sue. Your products are LOW QUALITY.
T Marshall
Even Worse!
I already reviewed the 10 percent failure rate of the Verbatim CD-R 50 pack. It is now at 15 percent! This is absolutely unacceptable! I cannot believe how bad this product is! Is there no consequence for ripping off consumers, [name removed]? You should not accept this failure rate on any product. Your suppliers are not up to the task, & as a result - neither is Harvey Norman. You're a disgrace to the industry. If you can't compete - get out!

Shame on you Harvey Norman sales assistant no better than used car salesperson (Honesty is the best policy)
Purchased a smart tv at Midland store yesterday after sales assistant recommended 55inch TCL on price, picture and quality. He showed us the demo tv with vibrant colours and great picture quality which sold it to us. Set tv up this afternoon to our Foxtel the picture was worse than the old Onix tv we were replacing and the colour was terrible. We returned to store to let the same sales assistant know we weren't happy with the quality of the picture thinking that there was possibly something wrong with the tv. He said he showed us the demo tv a...Read more
nd then pointed to another TCL tv the same as ours with the same poor quality picture and said that's how ours would look at home. This was a classic case of passing off one item as something else. Buyer Beware when you search the Internet you will find pages explaining how Harvey Norman and other retailers in Australia set up their demo TVs with 8K quality and suck you into thinking that you are buying a tv with fantastic picture but the reality is your new tv when you get it home will never look anything like the demo tv. What made it worse was the arrogant sales assistant said we never asked the question and said our budget was $500 what did we expect. At no point did we give him a budget we presumed because the tv he showed us that the picture was crystal clear that it was a good deal. I expected the sales assistant to be honest and then he smirked like he had stitched us up. He said if we didn't like it bring it back and smirked again like it was some big joke. I then gave him a serve and asked him to get the Manager. He said he would get the Manager when we brought the tv back. The worst customer service I've had in years and if that's the guys sales technique wait until the day he serves someone who has come all the way down from the country. The ludicrous thing is his work colleague said he was a decent guy but he didn't agree with his dishonest sales technique which he uses all the time. More fool you I've shopped at Harvey Norman and Harvey Norman Seconds for years and we were about to purchase a lounge suite for the living room and another for the theatre lounge as well as bedroom furniture. Based on this guys dishonesty I will never set foot in Harvey Norman again not that this sales assistant seemed to care anyway. So the advice I'm giving to all other customers considering shopping in their stores is to shop elsewhere maybe then when it hits them in the pocket they will retrain their staff to be honest and caring. Of course I'm sure there are a lot of other good staff that work in their stores who unfortunately will get tarred with the same brush. Totally un Australian Mr Norman but I'm sure you are aware the products you are selling don't match the demos you must do you Implemented them. Remember what goes around comes around and I hope this post at a bare minimum can save someone else from having their time wasted.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

great service and excellent product.
I purchased a Samsung TV from Harvey Norman Fyshwyck. I am a Vietnam War Veteran, and was helped by Brian from the TV section. Brian was extremely polite and helpful and gave me a substantial discount on my purchase which was a Samsung Qled 82 inch 4k. I am extremely happy with my purchase and would like to thank Harvey Norman Fyshwick for there support of veterans.

Never go for it. Submitted a claim more than a month ago but still haven't heard anything.
When I purchased a product, I was said to get instant replacement. Submitted the claim on Harvey Norman store Marion more than a month ago but haven't heard anything back. Store doesn't take any responsibilities about the process. Be aware of their sales techniques, doesn't really worth paying extra for product care scam.

Sold a Second Hand Laptop
My laptop broke the day I was flying overseas, so I went to Harvey Norman and spent just short of $1900 on a laptop available elsewhere for $1600.
The salesman was very snobby and wanted to waste my time by talking, when all I wanted was a laptop. I explained the situation and he still wanted to 'make sure' I was buying the best laptop for my purpose, despite me previously explaining that I often build systems and servers so this laptop is what I want.
He had three in stock, but came out and sold me one with an open box for full price. He sai...Read more
d he opened it out back to check it was all there, which explains why he was back there for next to 10 minutes. Once off my flight and overseas I opened the laptop to find it had been pre-loved. The system logs and filthy screen showed signs of use for a few weeks from 4 months prior. It also had a high pitch squeel so I rang the manufacturer who told me to install a patch. The manufacturer asked when I purchased the laptop and were very confused why I would have put up with the sound for so many months. I said I'd purchased it 12 hours earlier and they were really put out by that.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Not good customer service
Bought kambrook blender from Bondi Junction Harvey Norman for $59.00 on 21st october 2022. Tried it out yesterday, it didnt work. Looked it up, terrible reviews of product.
Lugged it back in today, 23rd October, nice lady said I could swap it for one thirty dollars more for my inconvennience. However, when the older female manager came over, she did not allow this, which upset me.
Dont wish to shop harvey norman again.

Happy with the end result, but communications and accuracy was BAD
Went to Moss Vale to purchase as Samsung 4K TV. Was helped by a knowledgeable sales assistant. We had a model in mind but as it happened, the newer model had a special promotional pricing. Our helpful sales assistant, Tyler, kindly set up the two models side by side with the same content so we could compare the TVs. Our conclusion was it was worthwhile spending the extra few hundred on the newer model but we wanted to be sure this large TV would fit on our existing TV stand so we took measurements and headed home. I called the next day and spok...Read more
e to Tyler to place the order and paid the deposit over the phone. Tyler advised that one of his colleagues would follow up when the stock would be available and contact me. I asked him to email the invoice through for the deposit. The cost of the TV had jumped overnight from the ticketed price of $1695 to $1995. HUH! I had made a point when placing the order of quoting the ticketed price. I visited the store again the following business day. Tyler wasn't working but another staff member amended the invoice back to the price. (The ticketed price of $1695 was still displayed on the TV.) There was no proactive communication about the available stock. I just called every few days to check on its whereabouts. I would have preferred to be told that I would need to call to follow through rather than being advised at time of sale that the sales assistant or his colleague would call me to advise of status of order.Similar opinion? When discussed with Harvey norman store e..did not care less...stated that's how it is...
End result had to pay for two installations twice..

Bad advice and a battle to get guaranteed refund
The tech salesperson at Harvey Norman recommended a particular computer virus software with a 30 day money back guarantee. The instructions I was given to install the software didn’t work, I was on the phone to India for a long time trying to get help (they wanted to charge me extra) and when I asked for my money back at Harvey Norman they refused! Should have gone to Good Guys!

Abusive Castle Hill store manager
Dishonest and abusive store manager at Castle Hill. Went in today to have a product price matched as per their policy. The store manager MICHAEL refused by saying it was out of stock in the local EB; it wasn't. His own staff member then corrected him, yet he still refused. I wanted to note this down and kindly to speak to head office to clarify. He completely overreacted and took offence and threatened to trespass me and call the police. Not wanting to honour your policy is one thing, but to act like a manchild and bully a customer with rude and threatening behaviour shows someone who is simply not fit to be dealing with people, let alone managing them.

Promise one thing deliver another
They promise price matching. Except when you present them with the opposition price the response is 'we don't match online pricing like officeworks'
Then state that in your advertising you don't

Taken advantage of
Saw a laptop I wanted. The list price was $1290... The salesman said he will give me "a deal" and give it to me at the price of $1,080. I accepted. Went home and noticed the price on their website was $980.. Almost $300 cheaper.. Not only that, they listed on the website a "Radeon Vega 6" yet it has a "Radeon Vega 3" graphics card.
Plus! I was charged $99 for an in-store labour fee - no labour was done!!
Very unhappy. After many years of spending thousands there, I will never go back.

No wonder retail stores are dying out
I waited 30 minutes with no service. It wasn’t busy. Not under staffed. Staff walking around and not wanting to move from their designated sections. Can’t sell in other departments. The structure of staff on the floor is outdated and does not work in current climate. Purchases would had totaled more than $1000 by myself but I chose to walk out after one staff member helped a man who had waited half the time I did. It gives me great pleasure knowing these stores, the incompetent staff and poor structure will soon be a thing of the past :)

Do you do pick up now pay later for tv's for how long?
Johanna Robertsonasked
We brought a 75 inch tv on the6th of November for 2600 dollars and now find the same tv going for 2286 dollars.I believe that Harvey Norman has a policy that if the cost of a product is reduced within a short time frame that the price is reimbursed. Can you please let us know if this is correct or has there been a change in your policy?
