Fast, efficient service and delivery
The store in Wonthaggi was marvellous, easy to deal with, the store in Dandenong rang me back quickly and was very informative about the product i was interested in. The product was JBL 5.1 surround system and the customer service Tech guy was knowledgeable and convinced me to buy the product all because he knew what he was talking about and took the time ti ring back and talk to me....BANG ....SOLD...great job. Will deal with them again

Was sent the wrong item and then was refused a refund or replacement!
I ordered a blender online and received this box of plastic instead of my product. Mistakes happen and perhaps you are over working your staff. So I jump online and wait in a queue (which initially tells me is a 7 minute wait) 3.5 hours its finally my turn and after some back and forth I was told my blender would be sent. Great, no harm done.

UPDATE 05/05/2020:
Paypal finally closed my case on 27th April, favouring me due to Harvey Norman's lack of response to my claim. They had 3 long weeks and nothing! What a long and winded debacle that was! If I didn't pay with Paypal goodness knows when Harvey Norman would've refunded me, if at all. Not even a word from them to say sorry, but they keep broadcasting their pathetic advertising on tv and radio to lure more unsuspecting victims. Worst online retailer. Simply will not respond to any queries.
Ordered an item on 8/4/20. Received nothing other than the confirmation email. Charged the next day.
Followed up via messenger on 15/4/20, on 16/4/20 they responded and said someone would be in contact as soon as possible. I've since had to follow on 17/4/20, 21/4 and again 22/4 and not getting any responses. Tried using their chatbot and same thing - an initial response asking to confirm order details and once I confirmed there has been no response after multiple follow ups. Tried SMS and the same thing. eone. I just want a refund so I can actually go and purchase from someone that gives a damn about their customers and there's no mechanism to do so. Not even the ability on any of their social media or digital platforms to make a proper complaint. Stuck in purgatory where they have taken my money and will not provide the goods or any information about its whereabouts. Genuinely the worst online shopping experience I've ever had.

As consumers we have become accustom to a certain level of service when we deal with reputable business names. So, I never expected I would see the likes of Harvey Norman treat their customers with such appallingly, callous, and insensitive manner when wanting to return a purchased item.

th-old baby was inconsolably crying and my daughter and son in-law were very stressed to say the least. Under these circumstances and spending around $3000, they bought extras that they felt they were pushed into buying things and then realised afterwards they did not need these extras, and when returning back to the store they were told sorry there is no refunds for a change of mind. COVID 19 has bought hardships to my daughter and they cannot afford unnecessary items and they were lied to about buying a phone that had an Optus plan. Due to my daughter who is moving to a new job in remote WA she needs to have a Telstra plan not an Optus. They were told by the sales person just buy this plan and then you can hand back the sim card to Optus and cancel the card and switch to Telstra. This way you get the cheap phone. Seems to sell nothing for money
I ordered 2 x computer monitors (approx. $500) on 17 March. It is now April 21 and I have not even heard whether they have shipped or not. I've chatted to their robot 4 times now and every time someone human gets involved they cannot tell me jack crap about where my order is. And that stupid moron [name removed] wonders why people buy crap online for OS retailers.

I was after a price match from an item bought from them, but I am over 2 weeks trying to get response from them, now I am out of the 7 days price match time frame. Tried online chat, whatsapp and messenger, no response....

Will NEVER use Harvey Norman online again!
Placed and order online for an item costing approx $3000. Did not receive any contact regarding my item not even an invoice, although Harvey Norman charged me instantly. When I tried to make contact I was told by an automated service over 48 hrs for replies and still didn't receive anything. There are no contact phone numbers and the "chat now" feature left me on hold for days before giving me a short, rude and abrupt answer that didn't satisfy the questions I had. Ordered hard disk received wifi adapter instead
Wow, this have been quite a ride. Ordered hard disk, but delivery guy brought wifi adapter instead. Didn't except it, he said that he'll return it (no signing of a package btw). This was on 30th March.
Numerous messages sent about wrong delivery, on only two of them got response with "someone will contact you".
Last message about refund send to them 16th April, bot said 24h response time,... still no reply.
Shopping experience with Harvey Norman have been quite terrible.

Putting Customers at Risk of Catching COVID-19
Unlike the rest of the world who manage to do contactless delivery, Harvey Norman is insisting on signature on delivery and delivery drivers do not wear masks. Very unprofessional. This puts both the customers and drivers at risk.

Worst service and inability to deliver on their goods.
Absolutely the worst online experience I've had. After my purchase, literally 5 mins afterwards, I sat and waited to speak with their LiveChat team for almost 1 hour to ask them to assist me in the refund given the item would not have shipped yet. They said this would be possible as long as the item hasn't shipped. This was on 31 March. No-one ever contacted me about this despite following up on 6th April and 11th April. We ordered a treadmill when it was in stock. a few weeks later...never came in. no phone number to call, no response via email or whatsapp. Approx two weeks after ordering it they sent in what appeared to be an automated email that it's on backorder with no estimated time of arrival. There has been zero customer service and they have taken money without providing a product yet. Very disappointed with their online service and will never use this again! A covid-19 outbreak or high volume of purchases is no excuse for zero customer service. Expected much better from Harvey!!!!

Wrong tracking number and slow response to online chats and email
They provided a wrong tracking number saying “delivered”. But this tracking number is actually a purchase I made from another store. I think it’s Australian post to blame to mix up these two orders of mine and provide Harvey Norman a wrong tracking number . However, I can’t get my delivery from Australian Post without a proper tracking number. Meanwhile, it’s hopeless to contact a human working in Harvey Norman since you can’t call them and they are not responding your email and online chats. Frustrating!! 90 dollars Wasted!! Lesson learnt. I am not going to buy their products online.

Worst online company to deal with
Wow, Harvey Norman can not get it together. You cannot find someone to speak to, their online chat is a joke as no one responds. I have purchased many things over the years but will not purchase again after this experience. How can they get this so wrong. Took order even though no stock, now can't get an answer from them
I ordered a puzzle online, their website said they have stock of multiple types. They took my money, 24hrs later I get an email saying the puzzle is on backorder but shouldn't be long. A week later I haven't heard a thing. I have tried to contact them to find out how long the back order would be or could we swap for a puzzle that is in stock but I can't even get onto anyone (sat on their chat for over 3hrs and no one replied). Now reading all these reviews it seems I will be flat out getting a refund. BAD BAD processes HN! The same thing happened with Kmart for part of an order, they notified me and processed the refund automatically - I didn't have to do a thing. NEVER using HN online again!

Worst service and process I've ever seen!
Order online a dryer. Payment went though and I never heard from them again. They make it impossible get in touch with them. Dryer never showed up and now demanding refund! not even number to call and talk to someone! This is meant to be Harvey Norman!

Hopeless online shopping experience, never again
I ordered Sonos speaker stands with 1 hour pick and collect mid March and it is almost four weeks now and haven't seen the item or pick up order confirmation. They just took my money straight away though. rd response that they have too many queries at that time but some will contact me in next 24 hours about my order and as per Harvey Norman usual standard no one called and it has been more then a week now. Finally I contacted the store where I was suppose to pickup my order in an hour and the guy said they don't have that item in stock for ages and he was not sure how online portal allowed me to place an order which showed me that the order will be ready to pick up in an hour. The store guy also said he will recommend me to just cancel the order as he dont think they will have stock for another atleast 6 weeks unless I wanted to wait for that long but again that's was only his guess. Now i have been chasing Harvey Norman to cancel my order and refund my money more then 10 days but till date no luck. Why oh why didn't I read the reviews first. Like all before me I've had the same poor service from this dodgy company. Very slow service, no number to call, no one will reply to their online message service, blaming covid for their delays. Never again.
