Jaycar at Campbelltown is GREAT
I needed LED lights with batteries and I had no idea of what was available. The staff at Jaycar at Campbelltown was very helpful and polite. They showed me all the different options and allowed me to make my own decision without feeling negative because I had no knowledge of the products.
Thank you Jaycar at Campbelltown, EXCELLENT SERVICE.

underdelivered & did not refund.!!
I ordered 4 items & they sent only one of them!! I rang to find out where the other items are and was told that are have been sent in another package, WT. there was no tracking number nothing about this apparent 2nd package to be delivered.. I’ve contacted them a dozen times over the last few weeks and all I am getting is a lot of lip service promising me a refund, promising me that they will call me back (never did) etc. No matter how desperate you are do not deal with this company it is not worth the hassle. Try some Chinese cheap knockoff you will more then likely to get your item or at worst get a refund. These guys don’t care about customer service or their customers full stop.. they just take your money and run they are thieves!!!!

lost my order
Idiots lost my order, couldn't account for the fact it hadn't shipped despite the fact that all the items were in stock. Seriously, I could have ordered from aliexpress in the middle of the global pandemic and it STILL would have arrived sooner than Jaycar's order LOL

Returns lie
Bought WiFi extender online including $16 rush postage. Product was complete rip-off, returned to a store and told to call regarding a postage refund. Have emailed and phoned several times in several weeks and stil no answer for postage refund. They might be good for little twiddly switches and spare diodes, but an absolute sham for anything else. Staff always super friendly in stores, but am brutally disappointed by online customer service.

NOT for anyone who isn't already an electronic engineer, instructions online out of date and useless
There are 15 ceramic capacitors to solder in of vaious types which have numbers that do not match those in the instructions. They are packaged in one plastic bag together. I googled the codes on them and tried to work out which ones corresponded to the instructions and diagrams but I would have to know engineering coding to have any success. The wire I was supposed to strip according to the instrctions for soldering was actually bare copper. There is one piece leftover that has no mention in the online instructions at all. The times they indica...Read more
te a colour for a component to help you narrow down what they are talking about there is no such colour component. NO novice adule and NO child will put this together without extensive preexisting knowledge simply because component pictures, descriptions and labelling are very poor. It could have been very good but was so very dissappointing - a complete waste of $20!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

False Advertising....overcharged, underdelivered & did not refund...
Ordered a few small products on a Saturday. The website said same day delivery if ordered before 12.00pm. Ordered and paid by 11.30am. Paid for express post. Item did not turn up. After waiting a few days, i decided to call them on the following Wednesday. by this time, i have ordered my items from elsewhere as they were urgent. The response was that the order had not even been packed yet. We called the following day (Thursday) to cancel the order & the order turned up on the Friday with no refund...No store credit, no apologies...nothing.

Non-Existent Customer Service
I went in to the Ringwood store about 10 days ago (before the Corona Virus restrictions for retail kicked in) and asked for product assistance. The young guy behind the counter just pointed vaguely in the direction of where I should go. I was trying to buy a product that I didn't know what it looked like. And so despite me looking confused obviously needing help, the 3 guys behind the counter incredulously were too busy chatting amongst themselves (even though retail is in shambles) to provide any assistance. I decided to leave and advi...Read more
sed the guys as I was leaving that "I'm sorry that they were too busy to provide me with any help". I called Head Office and asked to make a customer complaint. I left a message on a voicemail system and to this day haven't heard back from anyone.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What a rort
Went into the store and the guy that served me tried selling me a roll of figure 8 100 m cable for $180.00. I then rang an electrical wholesaler and they had the same cable for $68.00. Do your shopping before going to Jaycar.

Digitech AR 1721 Portable Radio - A lemon
Poor battery charge life - 3 hours
No indicator to tell it's charged or what residual charge remains.
Control knob inconveniently placed. Slightest bump means a retune and reset is necessary.
Screen words unreadable.
There's better available. Look first.

Awesome Headphones
I've recently bought a pair of over ear wired headphones, Jaycar, own brand Digitech. I am so impressed, they cost $29.95 and the sound quality is insane. I'm talking as good if not better than $200 / $300 Sony headphones.
Well done on this product!

Jaycar Frankston
Went to Jaycar Frankston today to see if we could get some help or information about our damaged pool light. A customer service man called David was strangely aggressive towards us and no help at all. It stood out to my husband and I as we had been shopping all day and everywhere else the customer service had been fantastic. We were quite upset when we left the store and vowed we would never return.

they sell rubbish products with no support.
I have bought their home brand Concord CNK8848P-A video surveillance system with cameras couple of months ago. it can't even send push notifications to an android phone reliably. it is a security system, means reliable and you don't have to look at the cameras yourselves. instead you set up the perimeter and it alerts you on a movement. but it is not how the Concord system works. it seems being able to reliably detect movement and other things, but it cannot alert you on your phone reliably... useless. childrens toy for 1.5k dollars.

Jaycar advertised for out of stock items all the times, some of those items that they advertised never sold by them
At now Jaycar average feedback is 2.2 out 5 stars from 171 reviews, this is ridiculous for a popular store, how can you trust them! . You will often find from Google search that they do not remove add for out of stock items that they were like heavily discounted like even more than 90% off. We are not stupid if you advertised for something that not even sold by you or never available, this tactic does not work

Return policy
Tried returning an item to be told he considered it to be a used item. I asked why he consider it as used and was told it had some scratches on it. The item was stored in the shop as a loose item, with many others, no blister pack or protection whatsoever so any blemishes could have been caused by that. Not an expensive item, thankfully, however they also sell expensive items, be careful.

Jaycar don’t stock RC Drone batteries
Had great expectations shopping at a local Australian retailer for electronic goods. I was chasing a spare 550mAh RC Drone battery. I Walked around the store for 15mins, finally I went & asked a staff member about Drone batteries. He took my sample away then returned, “no we don’t have it”. Then walked off before I could ask another question.

Chinese Crap at full price
Reference ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jeo_hv-8bHI
Darn, so annoyed I spent a fortune at Jaycar on eneloop batteries, thinking they where the premium brand of old, instead of Chinese crap. Guess its off to IKEA (see my link - its explains how IKEA batteries are coming out of the Japanese factory with the same specs at the top-rated eneloop pro batteries). Pity, I used to like going to Jaycar, guess I'll think twice before buying anything there now.

Selling rotten <eBay merch, Chinese rubbish for kids that doesn't work
Better off at Kmart these days, quality lacks and my kid is disappointed at Christmas. Boo to purchasing for this one (Boo hiss) and the product code is KJ8972. What a shame Jaycar has gone the way of the 2 dollar shop. Just don't go there hoping for the quality that used to be found there.

If it's well packaged and not bulky I use the car. Awkward larger stuff I use a courier service.
