Will not buy another Kubota zero turn
Purchased April 2013, noted first problem in August 2013 wouldn't crank over, just click. Have had it back at dealer numerous time to trouble shoot because it would not crank over, just click. They have replaced stick switches, blade switch, and other sensor switches, I believe Kubota has safety sensored this mower till it won't start. Had about four month stretch in summer 2016 where it continued to start, now just a click again. Suspension seat is comfortable, fuel consumption good, a great mower when it will start with good ground speed, & ...Read more
solid stick control Have went to my bachup mower, a T1870 (purchased circa 2001) that has never failed to start. When the ZG123S will start, I rate it 5 stars, when it will not crank over, it is junk, no stars. Dealer has been very good -Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Great Mower!
I purchased a ZG127E 54 inch deck, which has a 27hp B&S motor. Why because it has a big element centrifugal air cleaner! Dealer delivered and I test drove, then paid. Dealer was QMAC!
The Cairns dealer put the suspension seat of the S version on for more comfort!
It has now got 200hrs on the mower without any problems. I do my own maintenance.
I mowed once then, took all idle pulleys off, drilled out the spot welds, greased the bearings properly by removing the seals, re-built the pulleys with Unbreako screws and nylex nuts. The idle pully'...Read more

Junk
Have owned for 2.5 years and has been in shop several times a year. Ignition switch, pto engagement switch, crank case oil leak, hydroaulic oil leak, bad carburetor and so on, was told that the Briggs motor is junk..... buyers beware!!! Every time I try to depend on this mower it leaves me stranded.

No regrets
I did a lot of research before buying my first ever ride-on, initially settled on something else, then changed my mind. I couldn't be happier. I purchased from Dural Farm Equipment who didn't make me feel like the first-time owner, middle-aged woman, greenie that I was. In spring and summer, I mow every second week, 3.5 hours in total and my Kubota has been great. I have had it serviced and I make sure all the regular checks are done. So glad I opted for zero turn over regular tractor steering. It's also great for towing my little farm cart whe...Read more
n I have heavy work around the property. It doubles as a giant broom, zipping over the driveway and clearing leaves etc and once when I mistakenly ran over a sizeable branch, it didn't so much as cough, just kept right on going.

Awesome Mower - Zero Turn wins hands down
I purchased the Z125s 54" deck. So far so good with this mower, it has power, mows through tough, long kikuyu, buffalo and couch that we have on our property. It throws the grass out far and I haven't had a issue mechanically since purchase. Previous owners had a 48" Big Dog and it took them about 6 hours, this one I can get the job done in less that 4! It's comfortable, the LED lights are a great and bright when mowing into dusk, and it feels smooth and responsive on the turns. Goes fast when you need it too, turns on pin and I wouldn't go back to a standard ride on mower..ever.

What a piece of junk.
It had 16 hours on it when I finally told them to keep it. I used it 5 times, and it broke down 3 of those times. The transmission would lock up and the drive belt broke 3 times in 16 hours. They were able to sell me junk without any issue, but when I refused to pay anymore on it they destroyed my credit. I paid $708 in payments to use this mower 5 times. I had to use my 7 year old Craftsman because the Kubota was always broke.
Please buy something else, not Kubota, and not from Rucker Kubota in Palestine, TX.

Great Zero Turn Mower
I have had this mower for a little over a year now with 84hrs on the clock as I have a 5 acre block to mow, I love it as its quick and manoeuvrable and I haven't had any issues as yet, in fact the wife and I fight over who gets to do the first stint of mowing as its that good to use compared to the Toro zero turn that we had previously. Its pretty rough in places and the Kubota keeps soldering on through thick and thin. I cant say much about the after sales as we haven't needed anything but the salesman at the dealership really made the whole process simple and a pleasure to deal with.

Can you say LEMON!
I have 300 hours on my Z122E and it's been a maintenance nightmare since day one, you should never buy one of these mowers. The starter switch has broken 6 times, and it's going out again now, left me stranded in the middle of customers lawns every time. Pulley bearings failed on the drive belt and it flew off one day and landed in the yard next to me. Front right "sealed" wheel bearings blew out and the Kubota dealer wouldn't cover it under warranty. Main drive belt broke in half at 100 hours, it costs $125 to replace it. Blades last 2 weeks ...Read more
and they're toast, the steel quality of the ($70) blades is crap. Back tire blew out one day and to replace it was over $300. This mower has spent more time in the shop than out in the field cutting grass. Run away, do not buy this mower.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very poor quality
My Z122E has 113 hrs on the meter. We have 5 acres of all lawn-- really easy going. So far it has been to the dealers workshop 5 times. The mechanic has been out to us 4 times. The main issue has been loss of power, backfiring etc which was eventually traced to a fuel supply issue. The crankshaft seal also failed causing a major oil loss.Every time it breaks down I drag out the old (14 years) Cox and finish the job. I paid extra for a so called quality brand which was a complete waste of money.

As described above, the moderate oil leak became major which meant another trip to the workshop. This mower has spent more time on the road to the repair shop than actually mowing grass. PM
But wait there's more. The engine completely failed recently, sounded like a chaff cutter. Turned out to be a bent pushrod, loose valve guides etc.To fix the issue Kubota replaced the entire engine. T... Read more
his is with 199 hrs on the clock. Now that it's back in service I will give it a good workout to see how it goes. Standby for further.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The best mower we have ever owned
We live on a farm and our mowers really have to earn their keep. So far only 2 brands have stood up to the rigours of our mowing routine - a 22Hp 42" Husqvarna with heavy duty fabricated deck and a Kubota z121s 48" with the Kohler engine. The Husky does a good job on the areas of our house yard that are particularly steep, but in terms of ruggedness and speed of cut, the Kubota wins hands down. My wife, who often ventures into areas of paddock which should best be handled by our tractor and slasher, simply loves the Kubota. It is easy to manou...Read more
vre, rugged, tough and reliable whilst being very comfortable and easy to operate. The bonus is that it also cuts grass about 4 times quicker than a conventional ride-on mower. Simply put, the Kubota Z121s is the best ride on mower we have ever owned or used. They are great for flat to gently undulating land and if other parts of our property were not so steep, I would have no hesitation in buying another Kubota.Similar opinion? Excellent zero turn, by far the best finish in class
I almost overlooked the Kubota, sure glad I didn't it is the best finished, has by far the most comfortable seat and can be used for long periods without feeling smashed. This machine does a great job and is a breeze to use. This is a vast improvement on my Cox.

Tough unit for mowing fun
Bought the mower zg122 unit to mow a slopey 5 acre block with cow pasture up to a meter tall. Can mowing the lawn be fun? Apparently it can, wife can't wait to get back on it, she's now mowing more than me! Cuts great once the grass has been kept quite low, otherwise needs 2 goes at it to a lower enough point, once to first trim it down and the second to finish it off, if that's what you want. It's what you would expect though with grass this tall!
The only thing I don't like about it is frequent servicing requirements, and I wish it was fuel injected - still it isn't bad on fuel, the entire paddock in around 15L so far. As it is still new I haven't got much else to say just did the first oil change, was easy.
