The worst customer service!!! I preordered some furniture which never arrived, they were packed in different parcels and scheduled for delivery on different dates. Now they are telling me that I will need to cover cost for the furniture if it is returned to them when it never made it to my home. They have been giving me the run around on email! No wonder they do not have a customer service phone number, no accountability, no ownership, irresponsible. Will bring up with fair trade!!!

Bought tulip chairs a few years ago, lasted 11 months the weld joint collapsed,their company going back was doubtful in the quality probably made in China but i should have known better,
Why do we get a surprise when they go under and the money conveniently isn't available for refunds.
Fair trade are just far to slow and government says it's all working okay,tell the complainants this, ha ha we know who are the toothless tigers, and so do the victims .of these scams Enough is enough dear beauracrats. Now 3 month later and the complaints still comming in .
Does D.F.T think this ripp -off is just too small to investigate ? D,F.T need a reveiw

I purchased two of the arm chairs almost 2 years ago, one of the chair came with missing part and we are unable to use it, however we reported that to Matt Blatt several times and any time we follow up there is always the same excuse that the missing part is on the way we are still waiting on the missing part to be delivered to us.
I spent over $1500 for only two chair and still not able to use it all all most 2 years later
Poor customer service and I don’t recommend to anyone to shop at Matt Blatt I will continue to share my experience everywhere.
Sales rep did not explain clearly at time of purchase (for a dining set) that assembly and rubbish disposal cost is in addition to the delivery cost. Sales described at time of purchase there is delivery, assembly and rubbish disposal services, and then mentioned a cost of $90. I made the decision of paying $90 on the understanding of the cost is including delivery, assembly and rubbish disposal. Read moredefinitely make it easier” in front of the sales rep. However, sales rep had not clarify at that point that the $90 only covered for delivery and not rubbish disposal nor disposal. Delivery arrived, and delivery guys turned up and claimed no assembly and rubbish removal paid and allowed for. Delivery guys left in haste claiming other delivery lined up and on tight schedule. I was left with 5 very large card boxes and lots of plastic rubbish (disposal of huge rubbish in an apartment complex is not easy!). Okay, I’m a young mobile person who can manage assembly of the dining table and I can manage that part. I cannot deal with the rubbish that came with the delivery especially living in an apartment. I did not purchase the boxes and plastic waste! I Rang customer service immediately, the customer service rep obviously as expected kept repeating their defending lines and terms and claimed ‘ the sales rep had explained that in store and policy stated this and that and we can’t do anything’, with no understanding of the poor service and no clarification offered at time of purchase. If I had been explained to properly before purchase, I could’ve made alternative arrangement such as an air tasker or equivalent or borrow a Ute from a friend to pick up items from the warehouse, deliver and assemble and dispose rubbish at a much cheaper price. No sincerity from the customer service rep from the switch in solving the rubbish issue or providing a solution who simply kept saying she’s bound by policy, and then referred me to the store manager which also did not show any sincerity in rectifying the problem other than offering me to pay that additional $80 for someone to come in to assemble and dispose rubbish. No empathy of the customer’s situation, no flexibility or discretion in how the company would manage this situation. They have totally missed the point of not admitting/ accepting to any miscommunication to the customer. I requested a full refund of the delivery cost or get someone or the delivery guys back to take the rubbish away for free which were rejected quite bluntly. After much debate and frustration on multiple phone calls, store manager only offered refunding half of delivery charge (time wasted and frustration does not equate to that refund amount). Matt Blatt management or corporate, you advertised as a high end furniture company, yet your service is at the lower end. If your furniture has that ‘fine touch of detailing’, your customer service has cut and scar those fine touches. Sorry, you have lost future businesses from my family based on this experience and from my circle of influence. Looking at all other past feedback and review. the company has not learnt or cared to look at improving their process and customer management. How many comments were related to waste and rubbish, how many related to delivery issues and returns... I wish I had look at this forum before the purchase. No wonder the review function in their Facebook and their website are lacking.. Quality of dining set appears good so far but only time could tell after use. Had been looking at a piece of furniture for a long time but couldn't come in store and view it. Their customer service went above and beyond to send through photos and details to make sure it was right for me. It clarified my decision and made me feel very confident as a customer about what I was buying. Will defiantly be back soon!
Ordered specific items 9 weeks in advanced, told it will be no problems and stock is allocated. Go to do final payment and we had to ask everything was ok, put me on hold and said by the way those 9 chairs you ordered aren't available. Offered us completely different looking chairs, wouldn't provide a replacement of similar look rather they were concerned about the dollar amount of the item that they had to provide us. The staff were insensitive, rude, un empathetic and have no regard on the impact this had on us. I would never ever use this company, total rubbish!

From the moment we started looking for furniture until it arrived in our family room, we had a really positive experience. We initially looked at the furniture online and then decided to visit the Alexandria store to see the actual furniture to make sure it was exactly what we wanted.

UPDATE: Matt Blatt did eventually agree to a refund on all six chairs, but only after I made it clear I would be lodging a complaint with Fair Trading if they did not.
My wife and I bought a dining suite from Matt Blatt a few months back. The company has nice designs at reasonable prices.

After looking on the Matt Blatt website at a number of items, I went into one of the showrooms and was overwhelmed with the number of stunning and high quality products. With the help of the friendly Matt Blatt staff they were able to point me in the right direction and suggest pieces which matched the look I was going for.
The delivery team were great to deal with and my order was delivered on time as promised.
I wish every shopping experience was as easy and pain free as shopping with Matt Blatt.

We ordered some home decor & furniture pieces from Matt Blatt for an update of our place and we were very happy with our purchases. After spending lots of time talking about what we wanted and many, many website visits we made up our mind & placed an order. Great quality products from our latest order and our Sofa & Armchair which we purchased 6 years ago are still going strong. We always get compliments about our Matt Blatt pieces & would definitely recommend. My wife is obsessed!
My wife and I love to entertain so we needed an extendable table to maximise table space when we host our parties.
I looked on their website and found a table that I liked which was extendable. I called up to ask if it was at their Alexandria store but it wasn't however they relocated it to the Alexandria for the weekend.
I visited the Alexandria store and the staff were excellent in helping me pick chairs to match. I needed this service as it can be a bit overwhelming with the range they have! Delivery was easy and we used a recommended handyman to put the table together. We have had the table for nearly a year now and it's been so great to entertain large parties.

We recently purchased the Aleksander solid oak table after viewing it instore at Alexandria, Sydney. The table is absolutely lovely. After 6 weeks we noticed a crack had appeared along the wood grain after very little use. I contacted the store and customer service with a photo of the issue and accompanying receipt info and was pleasantly suprised by how efficiently they replaced it.
