Warranty void after original tyres replaced.
BT50 had 12,000ks on the clock and the ABS sensor cable wore through from rubbing causing the ABS, Drivetrain and Traction Control fault lights to come on. Once this happened also had no cruise control, I booked it in thinking warranty would cover the car as it’s only one year old with 12,000ks and was told that warranty doesn’t cover this as they aren’t the original tyres. I had a very hard time even talking to someone at the dealership and chased it up with Mazda Melbourne which took a few phone calls to finally get an answer as to why it was...Read more
n’t covered by warranty. The tyres that replaced the original tyres are the same size on the original rims but an all terrain tyre so it appears Mazda will dodge any warranty claims possible if they can find an excuse. I am hoping the change from Toyota to Mazda will not be one I regret.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Mazda Artarmon
Just brought a CX5 2022 from Mazda Artamon and I really impressed with the Pre and after sales services that they have. The dealer is nicely set, friendly and down to earth atmosphere and more importantly none of those trying to tie you into a contract on the spot.
If you interested in purchase a Mazda, i recommend you to ask for a sales consultant by the name of Najib Nazar. He is good in what he does, has excellent product knowledge, outstanding customer service and would go out of his way to get the best deal for you. As for the car, it's only been 2 weeks so too early to tell but it's perform very well so far so no complaint yet.

Excellent service and good coffee
Purchased a Mazda 3 and absolutely love it. The service was excellent and they went out of their way to assist with trade in. Also they have great coffee and snacks during a car service and they wash my car. Bonus

Making money out of small print!!
We signed a deal with Werribee Mazda for a new car CX 5 Max Sport and paid a deposit.
We were given a copy of our contract
Which states 3days cooling off period also states there will be penalty $400.00 or 2% of purchase price. Due to unavoidable circumstances we had to cancel the deal less than 24hrs .
Issue is Werribee Mazda is refusing to refund our deposit in full. They want to charge us 2% of our purchase price.
We have approached the branch manager but no compensation has been offered
Really dissatisfied and disappointed with level of service from such a reputable car company.
Why give 3 days cooling off period and charge a ransom?
Be aware friends!!

Engine breaks down after 6,500 km in brand new Mazda CX5
2018 Mazda CX 5 that has done less than 6,500 km brakes itself, noise heard coming out of engine bay. Car comes to a complete halt in a busy peak hour traffic on Windsor Rd, Sydney, could have had a serious accident.
West End Mazda in Blacktown diagnosed damage inside the engine. A complete engine rebuild is required.
Since car is less than one year old, we said that the warranty says a replacement new vehicle or money back is what we would like as we have not paid to own a vehicle that had an engine rebuild in less than one year with only 6,5...Read more

It Was Okay
I think I was expecting something else after reading some reviews on here.
The buying experience was okay, but never really genuine. It all felt a bit plastic and fake. Just a bunch of smooth talking sales people who were always in a rush.
I walked away from the whole thing feeling a bit meh, and a bit ripped off on the price. But hey, live and learn for next time.

Small details sour the whole experience
Fifth time getting my car serviced at Artarmon Mazda, note on invoice states complimentary car wash carried out but car had more dirt marks than when it went in. This is not the first time this has happened, complained to them directly previously with no positive action and I don’t have the time nor the inclination to take it up with the dealership again now as it appears to be a systemic issue that they are not interested in rectifying.

Wonderful service from the sales team at Artarmon Mazda
After 10 years we thought that we may deserve a newer car. We saw a car advertised on the internet and spent a Sunday afternoon driving across Sydney to check out the information. Being a cynic I thought it would just result in a nice weekend drive. Low and behold the information was correct but better still was the way the New Car Salesman Naj and Sales Manager Ian treated us. They understood our requirements and were keen for a good outcome for us in particular and not totally focused on the sale.
We've now taken delivery of a new Mazda CX5 ...Read more

Great service artarmon mazda- thanks Andrew Jones in sales and the service team
I’ve been a Mazda customer since purchasing my mazda 3 sedan on 2014. I moved from Sydney to the central coast some time ago but still used artarmon mazda service for servicing the car.
Their service and assistance ( in particular Steph and Derrin) was the only reason I went back to the Artarmon showroom to purchase my new CX5- even though it would have been more convenient for me to purchase from a local dealer.
I was delighted with the service I received from Andrew Jones. The whole process was simple and pleasant and went smoothly. So o...Read more

Ringwood Mazda worst experience !
Pls read before you sign a contract with ringwood mazda ! I am writing this so that you don't make the same mistake I made trusting this mob! NO BRAKES FROM MAZDA AFTER MAJOR SERVICE
I had a major service today at Penfold Mazda in Victoria. They were courteous in store, but on driving out of the repair shop, I noticed my brake pedal was almost on the floor before the brakes engaged. I didn't realise at the time, that I had no brakes. Not understanding cars I thought they are readjusted them. I rang my husband VIA bluebooth and he told me to drive back immediately as he thought I had no brake fluid in the line. I rang the service centre and advised them I was coming back. Nobody seemed to be around that knew that I was...Read more
returning. The service agent who did attended me had a test drive and thought the car was OK, but had a 2nd opinion from his colleague who told him that there was something wrong with the brakes. Apparently, there was an air pocket in the line which stopped the new brake fluid getting thru. I believe when you don't bleed the brakes, an air pocket develops which stops the brakes from working when it runs out of fluid. This was a major service, it nearly cost $500. I was extremely disappointed that they had an apprentice/worker who never bled the brakes. It would be a mandatory process to do with checking brakes . So what does the 10 point safety check that they do cover if they don't check the brakes. Very disappointed Penfold Mazda, I won't be back and I will be repeating this post on other forums online.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Not good enough Mazda
Mazda have had my car for 7 wks to check if it is faulty after an accident. They have taken their time yet will not compensate me for payments I have still had to make for my salary sacrifice yet have not been able to drive my car. Not to mention the stress, anxiety about a faulty car, waste of time due to many many phone calls and deterioration of mental wellbeing. Customer satisfaction a big fat zero. My car is going to be fixed by the repairer although mazda still can't say it is 100% safe. This is only happening because I went to essendon mazda last week and sat there for 2.5hrs demanding answers. Not good enough Mazda.

Artarmon Mazda do not understand or comply with Australian Consumer Law
There is a matter before the department of fair trading and Mazda Australia in relation to bait and switch and flagrant breaches of consumer law of this country by Artarmon Mazda. BE WARNED and stay well clear of this organisation they are dishonest to the point of using fake names instead of the names given by their parents and recognised in this country.

This is Perfect!!
We picked up our Mazda 2 yesterday from Ryde Mazda. I must say that CON ZACHARIAS was AMAZING!! From start to finish he was helpful, full of knowledge & extremely professional. Con took the time to explain everything very clearly & was very patient. I have never experienced such professionalism & kindness when purchasing a vehicle. Extremely polite & went above & beyond. Another point I would like to make is I have never received a car with a bow & balloons. I felt very special. Con we cannot thank you enough!! The rest of the staff were also very friendly. We highly RECOMMEND Ryde Mazda. Thanks again Con for making this a wonderful experience. You’re the best!!

Recall
Had to drop my car off after a recall issue. I politely asked if they could give it a quick wash whilst they had it, that was quickly shut down with we don’t have time. I dropped it off at 8.55am and wasn’t picking it up until 5pm, not sure how much time you need? I then proceed to ask for a lift from my office to the car yard at any suitable time throughout the day and was given another excuse.. they only do drop off and pick up within a 5klm radius, my office is 4.4 klm. I understand I’m not the only person dropping off a car but it wasn’t my fault I had to drop it off in the first place. Essendon Mazda, I’m very disappointed!

6 weeks and still counting
My BT-50 has had 4 EGR cooler failures in 2 years. The last was replaced by a Mazda dealer 8 months ago. Now it has failed again, and since I explained that I expected it to be replaced under warranty, the dealer passed it directly to head office. They have now kept the car for over 6 weeks. During that time only one technician has visited the car at the dealer for 2 hours, and Mazda has explicitly refused to provide any information on what they are looking at, any time frame for diagnosis, refused my request for a loan car, and refused to allo...Read more
w me to escalate the issue. I ring the dealer, and they say that are waiting on head office. I ring head office (if I can get through), and they say they are waiting on the dealer. If I ever see the car again I'll trade it in same day for a Toyota.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
Stanasked
How did Mazda Australia or the dealership resolve those issues? Did anyone successful get a refund on the grounds of major fault of the Australian consumer Law?
2 answers
Hey Stan,
Unfortunately MAZDA Australia is dragging their feet.
I have a case manager who is less than helpful and have unfortunately needed to seek legal advice due to their lack of action.
MAZDA Australia have inspected the vehicle and I’ll include an extract of their email.
“We advise that the FTS completed an inspection of the vehicle which included a road test and no abnormalities were found during this inspection. The FTS did however record the following:
LHR seatbelt does not always retract properly. Recommend belt to be replaced.
Osram 60 Watt HB3 Bulbs fitted to High Beam headlamp, GE Brand 55 Watt H11 fitted to vehicle Low Beam headlamp. These are aftermarket headlamps with correct specification for vehicle, but they are not OEM fitment.”
I have contacted my local Dealership and have scheduled a full day with an out of town dealership for them to assist me as the local dealership is in my opinion doing little to nothing to assist or resolve the issue.
I have also recently had additional issues that were brought to the attention of my local dealership within the last week and were agreed to be an issue however, were dismissed a matter of minutes later being “normal operation” without a formal inspection taking place.
If you choose to buy a MAZDA, keep in mind what I have indicated when things go wrong.
Thanks for sharing.
Unfortunately I have already gone down that road of buying a Mazda. I'm currently dealing with multiple electronic failures that comes up randomly and sometimes causing power steering and other safety features to lose functionality while driving. I have asked for a refund last year, but they blamed it on a 3rd party dashcam. However since then, they have disconnected the dashcam but the issue still came back. I have asked for a full refund but I do not think I will get a straight answer that they have transferred the money to my bank account.

I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 diesel AWD, I paid $942 for 4 new tyres at 60,000kms, had my car serviced today at 94,000kms and have been told the tyres are unroadworthy, how is that possible after 34,000 kms, I’m a female and take it very easy and mainly drive just around town. Has anybody else had to replace their tyres this often? Is this due to them not being rotated at every 10,000km service?

I asked a 2015 Plate Mazda at Werribee Mazda. and in fact, they give me a 2014 made year and 2014 compliance certificate car. the 2015 plate was written on contract. I realised it after I drove the 2014 car for 2 years. It was my first car! what do I do? This evil car dealer.

Rebecca, I suppose that it's 'caveat emptor' in your case.
What did you mean when you said 'plate'. How they took it, deliberately or otherwise, your request for a certain dated plate could have been interpreted as being first registered in that year. There are many, if not all, cars - not just Mazda vehicles - sell well into the year after its build date, particularly if there has been no change in the model and sales are slow. It doesn't make them worse cars and shouldn't, in theory, bother a buyer when you decide to change yours - at least to buyers who know what they're doing.
When it comes to selling the car, Rebecca, anyone worth their salt will have done a bit of research on the car they desire to purchase. By doing that they will have found that a particular build date, say, week 50 of 2014 was no different to that built on say, week 20 of 2015, and thus concentrate on the condition of the vehicle. Anyone fancying buying a 2015 car that is identical to a 2014 car but is showing evidence of harsh usage and poor maintenance is just being silly.
Keep a record of your services and keep a log book. Any discerning buyer will be interested and swayed by those.
Don't worry, be happy.
Cheers,
John
Thank John for your time and explanation.
Hi Rebecca,
It's common some cars are 2014 built although 2015 compliance. It would be good note for yourself in the future that you ask specifically for a 2015 built vehicle.
In the event that you signed the original contract for a new car, you would notice it doesn't have any VIN number or Engine number along with built and compliance details.
It is always a good to ask if car is in stock or ETA of delivery. If the vehicle is in Australia request to have details up front before going into the dealer and signing delivery.
Also note if your purchasing a new vehicle generally first quarter of the year, you don't always get the same year built vehicle.
In the future if you were to sell/trade the car, of course the year of the vehicle contributes to the price and along with condition, maintaince etc...
