Michael listened to our concerns, and outlined what he could do differently and what he couldn’t.

Through listening Michael learnt what was important to us Michael was able to suggest and also modify designs that suited us.

I recently built a house with Mcdonald Jones in Port Macquarie, it was pretty smooth sailing. Found their system from start to finish to be stress free .Great service from Ricky Perryman in the display home . He was very knowledgeable with every area & a pleasure to deal with. I had never seriously considered building a house but i went to the display homes at Sovereign Hills at Port Macquarie to look at the display village and absolutely fell in love with one of the display homes. Ricky Perryman the sales consultant could not have been more helpful or welcoming. MJH seems to be all about getting you to pay a deposit and sign so much paperwork that legally locks you in before you even have any inkling of how much your build is going to cost. We actually didn’t know our final contract price until a week or so after our build had started. Whenever we said something should be added or omitted on our tender or contract we were told that’s ok it will be done later but as we found out once we were coerced to sign then we didn’t have a leg to stand on legally.

We are so excited house is looking fantastic and nearing completion in early April. McDonald Jones Homes was my pick, and I am happy with that decision. I am so happy I got the laminate floors done downstairs, and the tiling to the alfresco and porch. The on site supervisor Joshua has achieved a high standard, and has attention to detail. From our first visit to a McDonald Jones display home we were treated with such consideration and such a large amount of assistance. So far every step has gone without a hitch, each and every staff member we have met has helped immensely. In 2015 I built with McDonald Jones at Port Macquarie. You can only speak as you find, and at the end of the day there were only a few very minor defects; one hinge on a theatre door & one of the driver motors in the roof for the Air Con zones was replaced - this was independent of the main Air Con unit outside, which worked perfectly. The tiling, done by Mr Jeff Reid was absolutely beautiful - having renovated in the past I know this empirically, the coffering, paint-work, carpets, electricals etc were all first-rate & aesthetically perfect....Read more
