My wife and I built our first home at Lightsview and I must say I am extremely happy with the result and service of the whole build. I would highly recommend Metricon to my friends and family. Merticon Two Years On And Still Loving It
My wife and I have been living in our Metricon home now for 2 years. Looking back during the construction period we were amazed at the pace of construction. Our project manager [name removed] was very organised, keeping a constant flow of trades and suppliers on site. He was always contactable. We were told by a friend that Metricon pay their trades a bit over the going rate, to help attract and keep them. If this is true in my opinion it is working. Fantastic Experience
Our experience was amazing. From our first meeting till handover, we were exceptionally supported and guided through every phase of the process. [name removed], our site manager was very proactive and addressed every concern in a timely manner. Our home was delivered 2 weeks before the proposed handover date. We have recently moved in and loving every minute of it. It has been a wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience building with Metricon
Our experience building with Metricon was excellent. At the sales stage [name removed] provide invaluable design advice and costed options, we knew where we were and where we were going. Very poor communication
Building supervisor contacted us three times during the build. the first handover did not go ahead because of bad management. the supervisor did not answer calls, took days to reply. he was economical with words. took five weeks for second handover and things still not done.
major items were not finished at second handover and trying to get them done has been difficult. site was left in a poor state, gate fixtures were broken. paining touch ups are a different colour to the original. hot water heater not connected to power.

Excellent service from start to finish. Workmanship was great, all issues were dealt with in a timely manner with great communication. Huge focus on customer service and ensuring the customer is satisfied. Final cost was as stated on the original contract, other than changes I made. With numerous other contractors and home builders available to choose from, we selected Metricon for our new home as it has a variety of designs and facades to offer for two storey houses. First Build with Metricon
Being first home buyers we were unsure on the whole building process. We are so glad we chose Metricon as they were fantastic in every step of the way. From choosing the house design to suit our block and our budget, helping us with colour selections to the heap of paper work involved. It was all done for us quickly and easily. The build time was super fast. Our site manager was amazing, efficient, attention to detail and easy to interact with. Cant fault the build process and super happy with our new house! We would build with Metricon again! As long as we had the same site manager!!!

Happy we built with Metricon
We love our house and we are so happy we chose to build with Metricon. From walking through their display homes to having the keys handed over to us, has been a great experience. Every person we dealt with in the process was professional, helpful & quick to respond to any questions we had. We had a great site manager who kept us informed throughout the build, & made sure everything ran smoothly. We would highly recommend Metricon for anyone looking to build.

They have done and outstanding job. Would highly recommended building with them. Didn’t have to worry about anything the site manager [name removed] kept us up to date with everything that’s as happening witch was amazing. When doing pre presentation he had everything marked out with tape which was handy. Kept to the budget and deadline can’t thank them enough.

Amazing service from start to finish
As a young couple with small children trying to get into the first home owners market was tough. We were knocked back by many well known builders and lenders and then that's when we stumbled across Metricon through a Facebook advertisement. Worth every penny!
As first time home owners, we decided to go with Home Solutions by Metricon because we first fell in love with their display homes at St Clair Display Village. We understood that our build wasn't going to have all the added extras but knew that it would have the same workmanship and contractors. The whole process from selections, to first site visit, to hand over, could not have gone any smoother. If we had any problems or needed recommendations for anything, like blinds or curtains, he 'had a guy' who he would use even it were his own home. We would highly recommend anyone looking to build, especially first home owners, to check out Metricon. The prices did sit slightly higher than other builders when we looked around but after all the selections and variations, we think Metricon have it spot on, and in construction, you <i>definitely get what you pay for<i>.1 comment

Amazing company and people
My husband and I built our first home through Metricon and had [name removed] as our site supervisor. Metricon have been amazing through the whole process! From design to handover, they have been professional and friendly at every turn and kept us up to date, explaining everything in customer friendly terms.
[name removed] was our site supervisor and he was really fun to work with. He was also flexible with the meeting times given my husband and I both work and have 2 kids. He always called when he said he would and his time frames were spot on. He had a really high attention to detail including locations of power points and light switches to make things work smoothly.
Would definitely build with Metricon again.

Fantastic Experience and a Fantastic Home!
First time builder and doing it solo i was worried it would be a daunting and stressful experience but I had nothing but support and guidance from day one! The sales rep [name removed] was amazing and she did everything she could to help me find the right block and the right house plans to fit my needs and budget and she was able to answer all the many questions I had.

Great experience
What an experience. Initial consultation with [name removed] in the Norwood office was great. Our supervisor [name removed] was brilliant. So easy to deal with and resolved any issues that we had. The whole build went pretty well apart from a few minor issues which would happen in all builds. Very happy with Metricon and totally recommend them to future buyers.

Love where you live
This was the smoothest and least stress builds we have ever been through. From contract to keys we had no issues. Sales to site manager were prompt to reply to questions, they worked with us to make the changes we wanted. Support and advice during selection were fantastic. We love our new home!

A Great Experience
As a first-time builder, building with Metricon was a great experience. From the first meeting with the new home advisor it was obvious that Metricon know what they are about. I took a plan, made changes to pretty much all the rooms, moved rooms around and found the process really easy.
The selections process was easy and really fun. All the consultants were easy to talk to, weren't pushy, and made really good suggestions regarding styles and colours.

ell beyond what was expected. He explained what level of quality we could expect from Metricon, and they delivered. Our pre-site manager was super efficient, knowledgeable, guided us through the pre-construction paperwork with ease, and made sure we had dotted our “I’s” and crossed our “t’s” to ensure an easy process once on site. The studioM experience was the best! When there are so many decisions to make, it can be easy to get overwhelmed, but our consultant gently guided us through, helping us pick the best colors to complement each other, and really tie everything together to get an aesthetically-pleasing outcome. The day was fun, not stressful. Be aware that the selections in the studio are only a fraction of what they offer. Speak to the consultant if you don’t see exactly what you want as they may be able to source it from their preferred supplier. Our site supervisor was such a legend! We had regular site meetings to keep us up to date. He communicated with us via phone in between meetings which meant we were always kept in the loop. When something needed to be discussed, he was just a phone call away and always got back in touch with us. The level of detail and effort that he put into our build was second to none. I can be a perfectionist at times, and he even impressed me! The general quality of workmanship was comparable to the display homes, and even though we weren’t building a Signature range home, the quality of work was the same. We felt like valued customers and would definitely build with Metricon again. While you do pay a little more compared to other builders, the cost far outweighs the benefits as you’re getting a better quality product as standard, direct access to professional site supervisors that have way less houses to supervise compared to other builders, and peace of mind knowing that the Metricon brand is recognised for their quality work. The price at contract was just about the price we paid, and the variation was only due to us changing things. We cannot recommend them highly enough and have already been recommending them to people who have commented on how impressed they are with the look of our home, what a testament! Hi there,
I bought an old house got it demolished and have two blocks now, I already initiated with a bulilder who made the drawings (two houses)and got them approved by the council in 7 months .
If I have to change the builder can I still use those drownings and approval or they are that builder’s property & I have to get new drawings and approval with new builder.
Would be really thank full is answered
