Hi, I am considering sending an expensive model kit from Australia to the US, it was purchased via eBay at $3,500. The buyer has sent payment via PayPal and at this point in time the funds are on hold pending him receiving the item which is fair enough. Given the value of the item what steps do I take to 1) ensure I can prove the receiver actually received it and 2) I am covered for either loss or damage. I understand that I can ask for signature upon delivery but how do I guarantee that it the receiver that signs for it not just a friend or partner?
