I moved into my beautiful house 1 year ago and am loving it! At the start of the process I was looking at the Oxygen Series Azure design. Absolutely loved it and had to have it! Recently build home with Rivergum Homes and it was going well during the build however missed the mark in the end with rushed finishing. I thought of sharing positives as well as negatives to give my fair opinion.

Positives:
Customer Service - great customer service throughout the build process
Contract & Billing - very supportive with billing and did not stop the build process while i was having some financial delays with the bank.

We have built a double-storey house with Rivergum and we would never use this builder again! To focus on the positives first, the initial pre-contract communication and ability to customise their floorplans was great. Compared to other builders price was reasonable, and the build was very quick (6 months).

I'm extremely disappointed by the service we were provided from Rivergum.
We felt our consultant was helpful but a bit pushy for a sale as it was the end of the month. We were told the deposit was refundable if we were to decide we didn't want to build any more, the deposit was to secure the promotional upgrades. We ended up paying a deposit to secure that months promotion. We were yet to sign or sight any contract. Worst experience ever!!! Very poor communication, Salesman was not completely honest, very poor and abusive customer/administrative service, little to no contact allowed with the supervisor during the building process. Poor quality build, Very poor service to follow-up on 3 month warranty period. Had to employ the services of a private inspector at my own cost as the property was so poorly done. As first home builders, we were delighted with the entire process and our final product with Rivergum Homes. From the initial planning stages working with Andrew in the Lightsview display, he made things easy and took us through step by step what we needed to do to begin our journey. Customer service was ok but could be improved, [email removed] was good to deal with. The best person by far was our Site Manager, [email removed]. He took over part way through construction and was fantastic. He couldn't have been more helpful and was really easy to deal with. Every issue we had from that point he handled in a timely manner and did the best he could to solve or complete. As a first home builder I was nervous as I didn't know what to expect or how the process worked but I was surprised at how well everything was handled and how easy it all came together. Site superviser was overloaded with jobs and stressed so attention to details were missed. He tried his best to fix mistakes straight away. Things were missed from the drawing up stage that shouldnt have been which caused delays. The builders did some average work that they then needed to go back to fix instead of doing a good job the first time. In the end a few things weren't up to code and need rectifying.
