Sheds n Homes

Following on from my previous review, the missing components of our carport and shed were finally delivered on Monday April 4, 45 days after the first delivery that had been lying around our driveway all that time. The people at Shed n Homes Hobart were able to get a building crew to our house just three days later. The added twist to this story is that we had decided to list our house for sale and the first Open House inspection was scheduled for Friday 1pm.

We decided on Sheds and Homes to build our 'Shouse'. The use of two skillion roof sheds that we have had approved to live in.
Michael in the office was very helpful from start to finish.
The 'Shouse' is amazing, time frames adhered to, professional construction, great quality.
My only concern was their inability to clarify exact costs prior to construction, estimates where given but then some significant additional costs in regard to construction and concrete were added. I was able to liaise with them and they listened to my concerns and hopefully will improve their quoting services for future customers.

All aspects of my dealing with Sheds and Homes was professional and supportive. The customer service provided was excellent and followup quick and professional. The build was good and the quality of the finished product was what I expected. Paul the owner of the business was always available and ensured that the finished job was to the standard of what we and he expected. I would not hesitate to recommend Sheds and Homes to anyone who is looking for a quality shed.

Can't fault the workmanship the boys very professional & friendly. The boys kept the site clean at all times, very impressed!

The communication between builder & Sheds/homes was poor at times at the initial starting process of build.

The workmanship was fantastic and a great quality product I did however have to do some of the running around myself, which I didn't expect when paying for a service. I've recommended this product and team to friends and family and they have all had very similar thoughts about the process. Once again great product and would be happy to use them again.

Once we had council approval the shed was erected relatively quickly. We were kept informed and when we weren’t our contact was responded to promptly. We had been looking at a different company previously to agreeing to going with Sheds and Homes and they were proactive to win or business and keep the work local. They turned up to the job site when they said they would. They contacted us to double check details before they ordered or completed, for example, asked us to confirm the type of finish of the roof and walls. They even sent us a progress photo.

Materials arrives in good condition. Nothing missing.
Help provided over the phone during construction process (self build).
Help required when build manual missed some steps in process or referred to products not included in the kit (diff window), different location for strapping. Would recommend update of build manual see date of last review for this doc. All in all happy with the shed and looking to customise over 2018.

We had a Custom Garage built on our property. We are very happy with the end product, great garage! There was a slight cosmetic bump on the front however this hasn't bothered us and we haven't noticed it since the build. Management could improve on time frames as the timelines for the garage seemed to run over due date a bit.
We got multiple quotes and Sheds and Homes was the best value for what we wanted.
Over all great product and exactly what we wanted so waiting a little longer then the advised timeframes was worth it.
I would recommend Sheds and Homes if you're looking to build.

Although there was a delay in the construction of the second shed, the support & communication was great.

The build was quite complicated due to the sheer amount of glazing, but the build team did a good job despite this.

Firstly shed build was 10/10 .
Managed very well .
Customer service started off real well, until i tried to get intouch with a big problem we had with the height we could go with our carport. Overall everything turned out to be a very good build, wish we had of got your builder though to do the job.

We have done 3 sheds, this being the last for the moment, all have been supply only. Product is ok, the local customer service is very helpful and quick. The plans are a bit average, detailed diagrams of how components go together is all over the place with you having to look at lots of different pages to try to get a understanding, thus the local rep's help was great, without him we might of decided they go in the too hard basket.

Shed had been great only 1 small issue which was fixed that day I made the call. And we should have got a bigger shed

Shed workmanship and slab are great. Was not happy with me having to constantly follow up as to when job was going to be completed. Not happy with a sissor lift charge as it was used for convenience not necessity. Have spent a lot of money on 2 other past sheds as well as this new one and thought charge should have been waived. Even went with Sheds'n'homes even though they were more expensive than another company. Job 170087

All components were of excellent quality and no damage when delivered to site. The customer service and support we received throughout the process was great, always friendly and quick to respond to queries. The shed was built by us, the only suggested improvement would be to have more detail on each item and diagrams of how to build for owner builders, other than this we are extremely happy with our shed and would recommend to others.
