Compact Round R54

My kids will be 10 and 8. Amateur gymnasts who enjoy flipping. We have only a small courtyard and whilst I know the compact oval would be a better size, is the compact round suitable for flips for this age group? Space is a premium unfortunately.

my kids are 8 and 5(nearly 6), if they both on the trampoline, there is no way for them to do flips, jumping only, even with only one 10 years old kid I still quite doubt if there is enough room to do the flipping comfortably. My trampoline is Middle compact oval.

Springfree T.Springfree

Hi Louise,
We don't recommend flipping on the trampoline for safety reasons however we have found that our customers who have gymnasts prefer the oval shape to practice. If at all possible i would recommend trying to get to one of our displays so you are able to see the size and the kids can test jump the trampoline. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on 1800 586 772

Medium Oval O77

Hi,
I am thinking of purchasing the Medium Oval or compact oval for my 7 year old son. I prefer the medium so that he has more bouncing room.
My only concern is that one side will be close to a fence. I have a long narrow courtyard. The total width is 3.2m with a fence on one side and a shallow step up on the other. I will be able to push the trampoline up close to the step as there is plenty of clearance above the step. What a pain having a stepped courtyard!
Do you think the Medium oval will fit or will I have to go for the compact oval? Is the compact oval big enough for a school aged child?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Hi there, thank you for contacting us. The O77 medium oval trampoline is 2.4m wide, and for us to be able to install this for you we would require 3.8m in width to ensure this is a safe space for your children to jump. We do have a free yard assessment service where one of our team can come out and provide appropriate recommendations for you if you are located in one of our installation zones which may be the best option for you to ensure you select the right trampoline. Please contact our team on 1800 586 772 to discuss how we can assist you.

Hi Shannon,
Thank you for reaching out! The cells on the net are individually sewn so they won't run or get any larger. However if you would like to email us some photos to [email protected], we can assess them and give you a call to discuss?

The kids love our Springfree trampoline! We have the older generation model and have been having issues with the net coming off the top of the poles and sliding half way down. We continue to put them back up, but after jumping a bit, they work themselves right back off. Any suggestions why this is happening?

Springfree T.Springfree

Hi there Sara, Thanks for reaching out to us. From the description it appears the net rod is not fully pushed through the inner banding. The net will need to be dropped back down onto the mat, hold the pocket firmly with one and and twist the rod as you push into into the pock, you will feel it 'pop' through the inner banding. If you would like to discuss this our installation team would be happy to help on 1800 586 772. Regards. The Springfree Team

Daljit B.
Daljit B.

The ball end of the net rod is a very tight fit on aged nets because the plastic / pvc shrinks with age. In fact we could not get ours. out. We could not twist the rod end because there is a sleeve on the rod which just turns freely. But first check the net rods have not just pushed through the pockets in which case a new net may be required. If the rods are pushing out through the side of each pocket you need to seat them in properly. I don't know if Springfree would reccomend soapy water or silicone as a lubricant..

I have a SF90E Springfree Trampoline and my kids are getting covered in black stuff every time they use it. We have washed it but that hasn't seemed to have helped. I'm assuming its the deterioration of some kind of UV protection and that the mat may need replacing. Does anyone know how much a replacement mat will cost? Also, does the mat come with the rod housings or do you take them off the old mat and put onto the new? Thank you

1 answer

Springfree T.Springfree

Hi Rennae!
Thank you so much for reaching out to us, we would love to assist you. We would recommend washing the mat on both the top and bottom side with soap and a home power washer. If you do not have a power washer, you can always use a bristle brush. Please do this once a week for 3 weeks. If the problem persists, contact our customer care team on 1 800 586 772 and they will be able to determine which model you have and the cost for a new mat :). When you purchase a new mat it does come with entirely new Mat Rod Holders.

Medium Oval O77

Our Springfree trampoline is turning into an expensive nightmare and I hope you can advise us. We bought it in April 2016 and for 2 years it was perfect. By June 2018 the mat was worn and it needed a new net--it was well used, and we were happy to replace these even though it was quite expensive. Since then, we have had nothing but trouble--rods broke and the mat needed replacing again in Nov 2018. Springfree were great in replacing these without charge. Now (Jan 2022), rods are damaged again--Springfree tells this is not a defect but a maintenance issue (the rods were replaced 2 months ago; and we were advised there was no problem with the positioning or how it was used)--and we need to pay $200 to replace the damaged rods. We are told to ideally "remove the rod from the mat and slide the Sleeve back to the top of the Rod. Then re-insert the rod in to the Frame Socket all the way down in to the base." I find removing rods hard. Does the trampoline need replacing? (only 2.5 yrs old)?

Medium Oval O77

Do you think the medium oval is big enough for 2 10-year-old boys to jump together? I'm debating on the medium or the large. I fear the entire yard will be taken up by the larger one.

We are so excited you are interested in Springfree Trampolines! The Ovals are a great option! We would recommend looking at our Large Oval Model as you have to remember these are backed with a 10 Year Warranty on ALL components, so they are built to last! The Medium Oval may be a good size now, but you need to think about down the road, when the boys will grow :) You want them to grow into the trampoline and not out of it! We hope this information helps with your decision.

Compact Round R54

My question relates to the new 10 year warranty. After reading reviews, I am concerned with the durability of the product and the countless customer service issues highlighted. I am particularly concerned with numerous complaints that have been made about problems customers have experienced after a few years and the responses from springfree that the warranty had expired (after only a few years??) - I would have expected Australian Consumer Law to protect consumers over and above any terms and conditions that might be stated at time of purchase given that it would be reasonable to expect a product costing what these trampolines cost to last longer than a few years and that a statutory warranty would apply?? So, can you confirm that the new 10 year warranty is absolute and will cover any product issues in that time period and please specify exactly what (if anything) is not covered? Also, what has changed with the product that has enabled you to offer a longer warranty?? Many thanks

Springfree
Springfree T.Springfree

Hi Connor, The new 10 year warranty is on trampolines purchased from September 2017 onwards. This covers each component of the trampoline from manufacturers defects for a period of 10 years from date of purchase. Please note that the ten year warranty is for the trampoline, not any accessories purchased. The warranty does not cover misuse or damage caused through lack of maintenance and shipping and assembly costs are not included as part of the warranty.

Our trampolines are designed and manufactured for outdoor use, and we are always looking for ways to improve our product and service including UV protection and protection against the elements to ensure that our product will last.

Should you require any further information, please contact our Customer Care team on 1800 586 772 to discuss our warranty.

My knee-jerk reaction, you should be suspicious about their warranty and post purchase customer service. We are disappointed and I wish I had the time and energy to take them to authorities. Older models were made with some low grade components - much lower than the price point would suggest you could reasonably expect. Owners of some older (not very old, guessing 2010 to 2015) units who supported the company and allowed them to prosper have issues with their purchases that the company is turning their back on. A component (not fit for purpose) breaks down and the knock-on effect pretty much results in a right off. Customer service is the ‘heading towards a NO in a blunt fashion’ type rather than an ‘appreciative, heading toward a yes’ type that I believe we should expect, given the cost of their products. Our concerns within warranty period were dismissed, despite the same issue being acknowledged outside warranty, when we were told it was too late to claim.
All of that said and though it pains me, a 10 year warranty is a serious statement that they have used my money and improved. Had ours been under warranty that long (or even half that) and customer service been fair, I would have no reason to be an unhappy customer.
We loved ours while it worked but now feel it was terrible value for money and on principle we would buy another brand.

Thanks for the POV I’m going to avoid the risk given all the concerns raised and go with a different brand.

Large Oval O92

Hi. I have a SF60E trampoline that has been in storage for a while. I think the safety net was accidentally thrown out for a council clean-up. Still have the poles, etc. I have an offer to get a safety net (only) for the O92 and just wondering if that will 'fit' what I have for the SF60E. Does anyone know? I think they are both 2.4m x 4.0m large oval tramps so I am hoping it could work. Thanks, Kevin

We just bought one, and wish we didn't! Their customer service is absolutely appalling-rude, inflexible bullies, and apparently their lack of support continues down the track when you have maintenance issues. Definitely look at purchasing any other brand-there are many good quality trampolines out there that are far cheaper, and will give you far less headaches. Good luck!

Hi Kelly. I believe they are overpriced. Ours looked fantastic new and worked well over 6 months or more. However I have an autistic son who gave it one hell of a work out. In other words if it's not going to get much use it should be ok, but to be quite frank there are other tramps out there which you could replace 3 times over for the same price as a springfree. I hear Mr Trampaline on Dandenong Road is well worth a visit. He supplies the same tramps as used in centres such as 'Bounce' where tramps are used 10 hours a day (albeit indoors). We have had the net, numerous rods and the mat replaced and once these have packed in will be going elsewhere. Hope this assists - Dom
