STA was great to book with and extremely helpful in accommodating changes
STA has been so helpful and accommodating to my needs during such a tough time in the travel industry. Due to the virus I needed cancel my flight dates and rebook for the following year. Within such a busy time STA customer service team got back to me within two days and set up my travel credit to use instantly. They allowed me an extensive amount of time to rebook my flights once I was confident in my new dates. I would definitely recommend booking with them in confidence knowing that the customer service team really looks after their consumers!

I had to cancel my booking with STA Travel and did it within the correct time knowing I would get my deposit taken off the refund. It was already to go through and the head office then changed their policy to only give credits. This is not only a breach of contract as my booking conditions clearly states refund, it is suspected to be an act of fraud as the tour company that was operating the tour cancelled so the money laying is STA Travel trust account did not go to them and instead should have gone back to the consumer. I believe they will pocket the money themselves and go bankrupt. I am taking up this matter with ASIC and ACCC and consumer affairs. If these directors steal our money they should be convicted in a court of law and go to jail. Wonderful Service given
Our daughter had booked an overseas trip to France as an exchange student through STA Southland in Victoria, and we decided to book our trip to see her also through STA at the same location. Unfortunately our daughter had become caught up in the Corona virus pandemic, and we needed to bring her home urgently and re-arrange our flights as well as we could not travel.
Through the help of Lauren and Beth at the branch, they both helped us to bring our daughter when everyone else was also trying to do the same thing as matters of urgency.

No Compassion through hard times
I am so dissapointed with STA Travel my flight was cancelled with singapore airlines and firstly i was offered a refund but now they only going to give me a credit not happy have taken this further to consumer affairs. Changed their Terms and conditions so no refund!
Flight has been cancelled and airline have said full refund no penalty. STA will only offer a credit even though I was told before if airline cancels we get refund

Amazing Quiet Achiever in an Emergency Situation
My 18 year old daughter was on a University exchange to Milan and then Covid19 happened and lock down occurred. We were going to have her ride it out in her flat with her Chilean flatmate. Then, other international students from the USA and Canada left, Swiss borders started closing, the Australian Government increased their travel bans on non-nationals and airlines cancelled flights standing people down. Georgia was fast, efficient and operating at all hours to get it done. I now know my daughter would be stuck in Italy right now if Georgia had not acted so fast and so professionally. Amazing Service
STA Travel is my go-to for all my travel needs, and this time was no different. They are always reliable, helpful and super friendly.
I unfortunately had no choice but to cancel my trip due to the Corona Virus situation, and Brittanie How from the Curtin Uni store was super quick to respond to my emails and sorted my situation out almost immediately.
She also has some pretty good puns which is never a bad thing!

Excellent service and care
Melissa Wright consistently went above and beyond to help me change my plans and travel home to Australia at short notice due to COVID-19. Despite being under a lot of pressure, she replied promptly and efficiently and her tone was calm and reassuring. This made all the difference to me at a very difficult and stressful time. This customer service experience exceeded my expectations and Melissa should be commended for her hard work. I am incredibly grateful to have dealt with her.

Declan Barrie was excellent in dealing with our desperate need to change our flights on 2 occasions in a very short period of time as a result of CV19 to allow us to quickly and safely return home to Australia. Bad Faith and Unethical
Contiki and Etihad have both provided full refunds to STA. STA will not pass on the refund. ACCC states services are to refund if suppliers have offered which in this case Etihad and Contiki have both passed on. Will never deal with STA again, very disappointing company.
