Call centres not based in Australia.
ADSL Connection
There advertising states that it is an Australian based company, but every time I have rung them I am always diverted to a Filipino call centre. There is a cultural, geographical and language barrier that makes communication difficult.

Horrible!!!
In October I was sent an email saying I was connected. I got that message when I was overseas for my father's funeral. I was not connected. I arrived back home and found the internet was not working at all. I contacted Tangerine telecom and there was a problem down the line (not at my house level). I was told that the guy who needed to fix the problem didn't have the tool and it would be the next week until I would have internet service. This was now in November. The next week it was fixed. did not have service during October. They want me to pay for a month of service that I didn't have because it was potentially ready to be hooked up from their end and they say that they called me to try it to see if it worked but could not reach me so I have to pay them because they tried to call me, not to mention that I had to prepaid for the first month's service in advance when I bought the modem out right. So what happened to that money? If I had arrived home in early November and the internet had worked, then fair enough I would pay, but when it wasn't working and it wasn't my fault and I still had to call several times and wait for days for it to be working, NO, I shouldn't be paying for the previous month when there was not internet access at my house.2 comments

e. Unfortunately the NBN technicians that attend installations are not employed by Tangerine so service providers like us cannot directly manage them. In Alice Springs especially the NBN Co have a lack of NBN technicians so they are very busy. It is good to see that NBN Co have resolved the issues with your service but unfortunately your time overseas meant that resolution was a little longer than usual. On occasions there are faults with a new NBN service and we must rely on the NBN Co technicians to resolve this. We'd hope that you would consider amending your review as I can see that your service has been stable and reliable since NBN resolved the issue down the line with your service.Thanks for helping with this situation. It has been resolved. I appreciated the fast response and would change the star rating if I knew how.

Positive support and fast internet.
I signed up for ADSL for home office requirements as I am the only representative of my company in Victoria so needed fast reliable internet which Tangerine provides. The set up was quick & easy and the customer service team provided plenty of support through-out the whole set up process.

Happy with service.
I have my home phone and internet service with Tangerine and happy to say they've been great to deal with. A refreshing change from other phone companies I have dealt with. ADSL speeds are fast and call rates are cheaper than I was on with Telstra.

Very quick connection.
Signed up to Tangerine Telecom and they had my home phone and ADSL connected super quick, couldn't believe it! When you provide great customer service, you have happy customers, it's that simple!
