Worst place ever
We booked a family room online it was very dirty the bathroom was really mouldy and my five year old granddaughter found a used condom along with dirty socks and papers under the bed. The coffee cups were dirty, we booked for 2 nights but under the circumstances we only stayed one and they refused to refund our money. Do not stay here it was revolting.
Trivago almost always uses Booking.com
I have found that on most occasions you are directed to Booking.com, even though there are other cheaper options. I searched other major accommodation sites and found cheaper options which this site rarely points you to.

Booked a unit through Trivago/ Amona who ceased trading 3 days after they took the money out of my bank account and confirmed my booking.
I rang the company who the unit was through and they told me because they hadn’t received any money the unit was cancelled
I am trying to get my money back but don’t like my chances
ACCC is investigating Trivago for preferencing their advertisers over other providers.
A legitimate rate comparison website would not offer rates or block some rates based on who pays to advertise on their website ... I'm glad ACCC has exposed this practice and is pursuing Trivago in federal court. Consumers need to understand that this practice is occurring in case they think Trivago is offering unbiased rate comparisons.

Always a good stay
I have now stayed at this hotel 3 times and each time I have come away satisfied. It is not too expensive (great deals) it is clean, although the rooms are getting a bit out dated. The breakfast deal is great & the
breakfast offerings amazing, nourishing & tasty. Parking is perfect & staff amiable. Restaurant is great as well.
All direct contact with Trivago to initiate our B&B details are impossible
We opened a small B&B in North West Tasmania and decided to spread the word internationally through Trivago. Turns into a nightmare trying to complete our details on their site, with all their contact options being a dead end. We have tried to email them to no avail as Trivago Hotel Managers email address is a no reply address. Telephone numbers come back with not connected as the reply and the “Contact Form” redirects you back to their site where you started. What’s going on Trivago?
Booked through trivago and when we got to the motel they informed us the booking had been cancelled by the partner company as they had gone broke. Lost $400 and had nowhere to stay. Couldn’t find a motel in Sydney with available dates. I will never use trivago again
My review is not about Trivago, but a warning for folk looking for accommodation in U.K. DO NOT get involved with Sykes Cottages. They totally lack people skills. My own fault, but I booked a wrong cottage and tried to cancel it within minutes. Many attempts over next few days. Only ever got automated replies (your email has been received”!!.... ) Never any human intervention. I eventually found a site to cancel and found that not only was my £20 deposit non refundable but they added another £228 which they then deleted from my account.
Trivargo scam website
Unfortunately cannot submit zero stars, site sent my to a 2nd website Otel.com, trying to book a hotel, went to book using Cc luckily my Cc provider called me and put a stop to payment due to fraud website. Called hotel to check and no rooms were available anyway for that night. Would not recommend trivargo to and suggest always book directly with hotel as deals better

Soffitel hotel at Deanaru Fiji is always a fantastic experience of warmth respect and friendliness from the entire staff all the way from general managers to cleaning staff.
Every person you encounter along footpaths to restaurants pool areas and even construction workers are always ready to say "Bula" . we feel privileged to be looked after by such amazing people at this resort and recommend the experience at least once in a lifetime even though we have done it three times and will again in the future

Already knew what I wanted a cheap hotel in a particular area. Could not get onto the hotel’s own website so decided to use trivago Charged overseas transaction fee for a local booking
Trivaga were fined 10 Million dollars by the ACCC for false and misleading advertising by inserting fictional prices!!!
Yet Geraldine Miller continually VOMITS lies all over television withTrivago pocketing 2 billion dollars per year from the commisions they rape from property owners and by deceiving guests.
The fine was a joke with the television adds by these thieves still being aired 50 times a day currently and our Networks are part of this crime and nothing changes.
The filters are hopeless
I was searching for pet friendly accommodation, but wasted a lot of time because even though the Trivago site identified places as pet friendly when you went to the booking sites, they were not. It’s frustrating when you think you’ve found something and you haven’t, especially when the adverts specifically promote this feature. Better to not have the feature at all. Gave up in the end.
Clean Affordable Accommodation close to Brisbane CBD
Clean and affordable motel. Room spacious with balcony looking out to the lights of Brisbane CBD. Staff so friendly and booking very simple. Fantastic cooked breakfast. New managers just lovely.
