Great Customer Service, Different from other NBN providers.
A huge relief from the competition, never had a problem with their customer service.
No dropouts, connection is always stable with a good speed. They also offer IPv6 and Static IP (was $10/month, now $5/month).
Started out on 50Mbps, when the new 100/20 plan was announced, I called to change and the phone was answered very quickly and plan change was done and I had the faster speed within the half hour. New connections are also very quick if you already have the NBN equipment at your premises.

Forced me too provide an email address to get a quote, spamming me ever since
The quote website forced me to provide personal information and an email address just to get a quote, which it turned out wasn't competitive anyway, now I get 1-2 emails a day telling me how great their service is. I'm glad I decided to go with someone else

We are so pleased to actually get the product we are paying for
We are getting very good download and upload speed which matches what we are paying for and so far have not had any dropouts. We are very pleased particularly with the ability to actually talk to a consultant in a timely manner, unlike our experience with our previous provider when we waited for an extensive time to talk to someone and were finally told they were too busy, phone back later. It is so pleasant not to have this added frustration to our busy working day.

Very happy I moved to Aussie Broadband
I’ve been a customer of a large well known telco for more than 3 decades and though I thought their prices steep, I was OK paying them as long as I felt that I was getting value. However, I gave them the heave-ho as their high prices were a total mismatch to the service I was receiving and the last straw was - continually - having to put up with the oh-so-polite customer service reading from scripts and making soothing noises, while the telco officially insists everything is fine and kept me in the dark as to what was actually happening with th...Read more
e goat track of an NBN. (Sorry, my frustration is showing.) I picked Aussie Broadband for 3 reasons - great reputation (from tech forums, not social media “influencers”), Aussie-owned & employing Aussies, fair prices with no lock-in contracts. I am very, very happy - faster, more reliable connectivity, and cheaper! - the NBN connection is more reliable and faster than the premium service I was paying for at my previous telco. - the simple to use app keeps me informed with automated “news” about NBN faults and estimated resolution times. - DIY tools are available for self diagnoses. These are really good, unlike the next to useless “tool” offered by my previous telco that simply routes you back to waiting in the phone queue to run through the same common sense steps with the call Centre agent before they would put you through to the technical team - an average waste of 2 hours. Since I signed up online to switch, it’s all gone without a hitch at the Aussie Broadband end. Unfortunately, not so at the ex-Telco end. Even though I carved out an hour to ring them to confirm cancelling all bits of my bundled service, they screwed up and a few weeks later I had to ring the different departments to cancel all the bits separately to make sure I didn’t get ongoing bills.1 comment

Best internet company I’ve ever dealt with!
After having trouble with Belong (long delays for connection, poor customer service etc), I called Aussie Broadband and they had my internet up and running within the day. Their customer service has been great and I recommend them to everyone I speak to! Keep up the great work

Simply the best in service
Besides the initial hiccups of the pre-configured router, the connection is stable and fast compared to our previous NBN provider. The Australian based service team is exceptionally knowledgeable and nice.

New to service
There was only one occasion where there was a dropout and Aussie messaged me about it and again to say it had been resolved. Otherwise the service seems fine and the download speeds ok if not as fast as advertised.

This is a brilliant service with fast, reliable connection compared to my previous experiences with other providers. What is particularly refreshing is the level of prompt support and useful communications; not advertising in the guise of communication or self-aggrandisement.

I didn’t think my FTTN connection could perform so well.
Connection seems to be very stable and I always get at least 75% of the stated speed. My last ISP didn’t manage anywhere near that. Company is very good at reporting service disruptions but I’ve never noticed one even when they’ve said we were having one.

Very Impressed
Signed up with Aussie Broad band one week ago after having terrible experiences with previous NBN provider ( internet dropping out most days, landline not working properly for past few months, waiting over an hour to speak to customer support). Aussie Broadband supplied a new modem within 3 days of us applying to change to them (we live in a rural area), and we were connected that evening. While setting up we needed to talk to tech support as we couldn't get the landline to work, got through within 5 minutes and problem resolved within half an ...Read more
hour. Since changing to Aussie Broadband we have had no drop outs and the landline has been working as it should. They also provided comprehensive documentation (never supplied by previous provider) as well as emails and texts through the process so we were up to date on how things were progressing. Would highly recommend Aussie Broadband as a reliable provider who really make all dealing with them easy and stress free.1 comment

Awesome Service All Round
I've used numerous ISP's in the past but have never been satisfied with the service they have provided. I recently made the switch to Aussie Broadband and can't be happier. Their service speeds are exactly what they say you should expect and their customer service and communication with customers is the best I've ever experienced. I've started recommending Aussie to others who are struggling with their internet services they are that good. Looking forward to being a long term customer.

Bit the bullet and changed to Aussie couldn't be happier!
I was with another ISP for 10 years and decided to change as wasn't seeing any real value in return for my loyalty and for what I was paying for. I was apprehensive at first but reading all the reviews of the great service provided from Aussie Broadband decided to take the plunge. it was the best descion I made and wish Id done it sooner. The transfer was seamless and to date (3 months) have had no drop outs or significant peak load throttling. The only thing I would recommend to fellow gamers is request to opt out of CGNAT as it can have some advesre effect with some game servers e.g CoD.

Consistently slower speeds than previous HFC connection
I would not recommend Aussie Broadband NBN.
Speeds are consistently slower than advertised ( ~ about 50Mbps on a 100Mbps plan)
The supported modem has terrible WIFI range. On 5ghz band it is less than a 5 meters.

No support
Streaming and videoconferencing drops out. I sent them logs showing 12% packet loss to their DNS server. They blame my modem. I go out and buy a new $140 modem and send them another log showing packet loss to their DNS server with my new modem. They agree it's not the modem, diagnose a faulty port at my node and escalate to NBN. NBN refuses to job and blames my modem. I am wasting my time and money in a ridiculous loop between Aussie and NBN here. Both are truly awful and dishonest. It has been months and Aussie can't even organise a tech to come to my house to verify the problem.

How can you guarantee upload speeds higher than 80mpbs? My current provider gives me at best 45mpbs.
3 answers
You would need to ask Aussie Broadband that question. Myself, I regularly get 90/30 so quite close to 100/40.
I need to change my service provider. We generally run 3-4 computers at any given time I guess I cannot expect fast speeds
Official RepAussie Broadband
Upload speeds or download speeds? We currently do not have plans with upload speeds over 40Mpbs. We do have download speeds tiers that are much higher with 100Mbps down and for FTTP 250Mbps down. https://www.aussiebroadband.com.au/nbn-plans/

Good morning,
I would like to switch to another provider. Would I still need a new modem if I will sign up with you?
I am very much interested in getting the NBN 100. Also, please advise the time frame for this.
Greatly appreciate for taking the time.
4 answers
Depending on your previous provider, you may have to return the old modem anyway. AussieBB do not stipulate their own modem, but recommend you purchase theirs.
Thank you so much :))
Official RepAussie Broadband
Hi Glizelda, we can't guarantee that your current provider's modem will work as it may be locked to them, however, we are happy to try to help you to configure it. If we aren't successful, you may need to get a new modem. Time frame for someone with nbn already is very little. You're looking a 15 mins to a couple of hours. Hope that helps. Cheers, Mel
Rob M.asked
Hi, I've just ordered ABB's NBN100 with "casual" phone service included. I'm planning on supplying my own NBN modem router, will I need one with VOIP capability in order to use the phone? TIA
2 answers
Official RepAussie Broadband
Hi Rob, I really recommend getting a VoIP compatible router to plug your phone into, yes. Otherwise, you can look into ordering an ATA from us that will allow you to use your phone with a router without VoIP compatibility. There are plenty of options and decent VoIP compatible routers out there. If you go the ATA route, then our ATA's (SPA112) come pre-configured to be plug and play. Cheers, Mel
Thanks Mel, I'll look into both options.
