Why does it take almost 2 weeks for my parcel to arrive once it has arrived in Perth from overseas. This is a joke and a very lousy service! Seriously, something needs to change if this is the best our postal service can do. I would ask everyone who is fed up with the excessive time it takes to complain.
Won't change until we privatise our postal system. They are a goverment organsation meaning they have no competition & no reason to improve. Instead they get worse to the point where they can't even deliver the service they are meant to.
privatisation is never the answer, look at Royal Mail in UK. Privatisation means profit comes before everything else, they will cut services if they are not profitable. You won't get your parcel faster. They will no longer be serving the people, instead serving their board and investors.
The problem is 'no competition'. If you privatise, then there still won't be any competition and will result in high prices and bad sevice. Privatisation only works if there is competition.

I posted my documents via international express to Pakistan, tracking no. EJ302824272AU. The status shows that it is still at Sydney West facility. Can you pls check why is it not moving ? When will it be boarded on the plane? It has already taken too much time sitting at the facility here in Sydney.

How long after a parcel over $1000 gets to customs does it take Australia Post to send out a First Notice to you? I’ve been waiting for this info to get my package cleared but no one will help me. I’ve been sent from ABF to AUS POST to the sender and back no one will help me I’m so close to requesting a refund and re buying what I can separately

Hi, my parcel tracking number is 349PR4099227. It's an express post which should've arrived on November 3rd the Thursday. I haven't seen any updates og my parcel since Wednesday while the other parcels shipped in the same batch from China have all been delivered. Is my parcel lost?

I am expecting a document from overseas that was "incorrectly sorted and forwarded to the correct location" in Melbourne on the 17th October.
I do live in Victoria but there has been no status update since. Is there any way to know what has happened to it?

The item (CP451077804CN)arrived at the Melbourne parcel facility on September 8th. As of today (October 4th) I have not received it. When I called Australia Post they said if it hadn't been delivered for so long it was lost and told me to file a claim with the sender. I asked them to provide me with the phone number of the parcel facility and they said they didn't have it. Asked them to contact for me and they said they couldn't do it. So what can you do, you lost the parcel and let the customer sort it out themselves. So you guys just sit in front of the screen and look up what we can look up on the app and then just say sorry?

It's now the 29th of September 2022 and I still haven't recieved my package.
It's annoying cause I live in Sydney. When I saw this update I thought I was going to recieve my package by the afternoon on that day but to no avail.
Anyone had similar experiences?
Same here! Tracking says Your item departed a transfer airport in KINGSFORD SMITH, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA on September 14, 2022 at 11:00 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.
Thought it means its in Australia but apparently that just means its still sitting in the US waiting. Cant get in touch with USPS what is pretty annoying.

Contacted Australia post and they told me the same thing. That my package is still with Customs in the U.S and is awaiting clearance.
Hopefully we'll both get our parcel soon.

Sent out to Taiwan from Brisbane on 13/09 and it’s been stuck in Sydney shows Clears and awaiting for international departure since last Friday 16/09, and yet, it has been another week passed, the auspost staff couldn’t answer my question and says it’s a delay…. What’s the point for paying express I mean… it’s urgent so that’s why I paid express. Very disappointed.
I sent to Taiwan on 14th still stuck in Sydney airport too. Looks like we are waiting for the same flight.

Hi Anastasia and Michael - did your parcels make it to Taiwan yet? I sent mine Tue 4 Oct with International Express (3-8 business days to Taiwan per AusPost website). After two weeks (today is 18 of October) they are still in Australia, including one week in Sydney with "Cleared and awaiting international departure". Hope yours made it - I thought I was going insane...
Yes... it arrived on 4/10 and then my mum received it the next day...
There were two public holidays in Australia when I sent it out that's why it took so long.

I've got a package coming from the USA, tracking shows it sitting in the Australian depo since the 5th of September. I'm only 3 weeks in. Annoying! Why can't Aus Post expand their operations along with demand and hire more staff?
I got a update on 8 th September that my items ( grandmas antique) I’ve inherited was collected by carrier, usps is saying Auspost will be the delivery however since the 8th it hasn’t been scanned in Sydney after a customs check I’m in WA, and now two weeks and other things posted after are arriving and the tracking still isn’t coming up in auspost system, and no one can tell me who actually has this family heirloom I’m starting to worry a lot
Similar issue. According to USPS my parcel has been to Brisbane, Sydney and is on it's way. Aust Post don't have it according to them.

I had a parcel from India, Indian post office says the parcel landed in Australia on 14th sept but on auspost app it says on its way which means the consignment didn’t have a air carrier yet.

Still absolutely nothing airport and usps is saying auspost would be the delivery company however it’s marked as collected by carrier online from the 8 th and still isn’t here now been in travel for nearly 6 weeks and auspost and usps sent taking responsibility for it, and it’s never been scanned since just awful
What a joke. Lodged an enquiry and was told that the package had not even arrived into Australia yet but the sender has queried the courier in the US and they have advised its landed in Queensland on the 26th August and has just been sitting there for all this time. Tracking on the AUSPOST app says MIA TEOE AUA, AUSTRALIA. Would be good to get some proper answers as to where the actual package is. Tracking number LO044599129AU
Some response is required by AustPost as a matter duty and of service. That would include say just a couple of words to identify cases where international providers do not provide proper or correct address details to enable the right path to be taken and delivery options. At law in many of those instances AustPost must receive and require clarification from the sender who at that point of time is their contract customer. The receiver actually becomes a customer directly once delivery confirmation of the receiver is established. Technical and can be a pain but AustPost should at minimum advise of the problem. If not send official complaint to the Federal Ombudsman for postal matters.
