Only had the service for a couple of months and the service problems are starting to appear.
The drop-outs are within the industry acceptable standards but are still annoying.
The biggest issue from a user perspective is the buffering when you click on a new page or link. You can easily wait for 40 seconds for a new page to display due to the aggressive buffering used by Belong. This will not show up on a speed test as the speed site has loaded when the test is started but every time you open a new page or link, you will have this annoying 30-40 sec delay before the page is displayed. Easy to test but Belong deny they do buffering on pages and links.
I would not use Belong if you are likely to be ticked off at these buffering delays.
I don't use WIFI, my entire house is hard wired with cat 5. The analysis software clearly points to the network lag (buffering) and when reading other comments, this is not unusual for Belong and some...
Read more other providers. It is a bit of deception on the part of Belong but this is what NBN is all about. Our business connection is through 5G and this just flies. No lag and no drop-outs and now with unlimited data, no worries.When I chose Belong NBN, it was among the cheapest in the market. But there are reasons for that. If you lost connection to internet, you won't be able to fix it yourself with their Q&A. And you don't have a phone number to call nor live chat support. They just let you drop them a message and wait for their call at their convenience. I waited 2 days for them to call me and I still couldn't get my internet back. I just give up and switch to other provider with 4G backup. If you work at home and require internet connection, think twice before choosing them.

Good until you run into a issue.
Impossible to get a hold of.
My father went to change his monthly direct debit card information and we couldn’t find how to do this. We had 3 other separate people to help us. We couldn’t see the option. Tried sending messages for them to call us, tried calling them. No one from belong can help.We just wanted to pay our bill.

I’ve been with Belong for 6 years - even using them when I moved interstate from VIC to NSW.
My internet stopped working one day and when I tried to call the usual number I got a pre-recorded message telling me they deal with everything online.
Truly SH*T customer service - what a way to stick it to loyal customers.
Will be moving to an internet provider that actually cares about customers and wants to communicate with them!

A day later and still no response. I also tried reaching out on FB messenger but no response either.
As a customer of 6 years - I can confirm that customer service has gotten A LOT worse.

I have signed up online 3 days ago and I am already connected to the network. There was a little hick-up : I lost my current connection for 2 days because I have been connected to the Belong broadband network very early, but I have contacted the Customer care team and they have fixed the issue and sent the modem over within 48h (including public holiday). Internet speed is as promised.

The nbn provider is fine until something goes wrong and you need to contact them. There is no actual phone number you can call, only a messaging system. I've been waiting for 2 days, and I still have no internet. I would not recommend at all, I will be cancelling with them. Not a quality provider.

Lots of issues setting up and then transferring a service. No replies from customer service via email, because you can’t contact them via phone. Switched providers and had problem resolved immediately.

Firstly, they happily took our extra money knowing full well we could only achieve maximum 25mbps as we are FTTN… anyway once we knew this and things were working, no problems. Good connection MOST of the time. But on those times where there is an issue, good luck trying to get ANY support. They have no live chat, and they have no phone number. All you can do is send them a message online and wait for them to call you. At the end got resolved. Think about customer service phone number.
Support is slow but they solved the problem.
Should think about making a customer service support phone line to help with all complaints.
Waited than longer when I raised a support request.
Most effective way is 2 way conversation.

I’ve had a positive experience with Belong. I was unsure about not being able to call for assistance if there’s an outage, but the couple of times it’s happened I’ve sent a message over FB messenger and had a reply quite soon after advising the issue (due to unexpected maintenance works in area). The guy Kevin then followed up a couple of days later to check everything was ok. Great service.

I decided I needed Wi-Fi, I did my research, I picked Belong, and within a few days my modem arrived, and in no time at all with no difficulty it was up and running. Haven't had an issue yet, and seems to be one of the best value for money options out there

Hi,
Our internet has been extremely slow for over a week and we cannot work from home which we have been forced to do. Belong reports there is no outage in our area.
Why can this not be fixed? We understand that there are workers affected by covid 19 but we cannot get any access to belong either online or by mobile phone which is causing much stress and the onset of renewed medical problems which is frightening.
We just want our internet speeds back to normal or we will lose our jobs as we cannot even contact our bosses at work.
Please please sort this problem for us as our health is suffering and as we are in our 60's we are very anxious and worried we will both lose our jobs which we simply cannot afford.
Please get back to us as soon as you possibly can. We are desperate to get our internet working effectively again.
