Works for me

published

This product has worked for me. I still wake up periodically through the night but always straight back to sleep. According to my fit bit tracker the quality and length of my sleep has improved significantly. It did take about a week to kick in. It would be nice to know what dose of melatonin is in the pills.

Trialing it. So far promising.

published

I don't tend to have trouble falling asleep. It's staying asleep that's the issue. No matter what time I fall asleep I wake from between midnight to 3am sometimes with trouble getting back to sleep. A friend let me try a week's worth 3mg prescribed melatonin capsules. It seemed to get me through a longer sleep stretch of the night, waking closer to 5am.

Have substituted bioglan homeopathic melatonin pills since friend's trial supply ran out (with a time gap in between). 1 tablet didn't work, 2 tablets seems to get me past the 3am mark getting a longer stretch of sleep period. Have noticed skipped nights waking at 2am in contrast. Haven't tried it for long though. Maybe 2 weeks on and off.

Ineffective product

published

This product has given no improvement in sleep quality. There is no indication on the label on Mg per tablet, just an instruction to chew 3-5 tablets 30 minutes before bedtime. May as well chew mints without the flavour. Don’t waste your money

Sweet flavour. 5 sprays is a lot though, so you go through the bottle quickly.
It doesn't seem to help me get to sleep, but it does help with having a more restful sleep....once I actually fall asleep. So for that I'd totally buy it again

Another Homoeopathic Scam! - Will not treat any real sleep issues or anything actually

published

This product is a complete scam! These are just fake pseudoscience sugarpills, It even won a Shonky Award from Choice in 2018,.
https://www.choice.com.au/shonky-awards/hall-of-shame/shonkys-2018/bioglan

This product took advantage of me when I needed sleeping aid the most. And my biggest regret is not realizing it sooner or being able to get a refund for it!

If you're having real sleeping issues ask you GP about Circadin, an actual real Melatonin product you can get in Australia.

Also don't trust any of the 5 star reviews they are all either fake, Bioglan sponsored or from gullible people fooled by a placebo effect.

Totally missed the Homeopathic thing here

Thought it was Melatonin, it's actually homeopathic (aka sugar water) - waste of $18!
Misleading and borderline fraudulent! Makes me question Bioglan as previously considered them one of the better brands of vitamins

Not actually melatonin.

published

Apparently the "health" industry can sell you sugar pills as long as they put "homeopathic" in front of any word they like. Here they chose melatonin.
There is zero mg of actual melatonin in these.

This is pure scam artistry protected by capitalism. Disgusting.

I felt no effects good or bad from taking this sleep aid.It was as though I was taking flavored water. I still wasn't falling asleep until one o'clock after taking it at 8.30 pm. It was a complete waste of money. I wish I had read these reviews first.

I paid 27.98 for a bottle of 90 tabs. Taking 3 in a dose works out to close to a dollar a day, for a product that does not work.
Should be a law against scams like this.

Deceptive and misleading not worth even one star!

published

This is not Melatonin. I was under the belief it was 6x stronger in melatonin when in fact it has zero. The labelling is deceptive and misleading to the average joe blow. How can a medication, homeopathic or not, be sold in Australia without the specified ingredient? How can a medication be labelled melatonin and have none in it at all? How does a well known company Bioglan get away with such deceit? How can a reputable chemist sell and push these products on consumers when they should know more then we do? MONEY!!
Do not buy these products!

1 particle of melatonin per million. Also known as sugar pills.

published

The chemist never mentioned that this wasn't real melatonin. It's homeopathic 6x which leads you to believe it's 6x stronger but is in fact watered down 6 cycles of 1 in 10. So 1 x 10 = 10, 10 x 10 = 100, 100 x 10 = 1000, 1000 x 10 = 10,000, 10,000 x 10 = 100,000, 100,000 x 10 = 1,000,000. Or 1 particle of melatonin per million. Also known as sugar pills.

You are being scammed. This is not melatonin.

This isn't melatonin. This company named their sugar pills "Melatonin" to profit off of your sleeplessness. The only thing this product has done to me is make me angry that the pharmacist handed me this when I asked for melatonin, and failed to mention that this is fake medicie. Bioglan are parasites that feed off of illness. Instead of buying this product, try lighting the money you would have spent on fire. The satisfaction of not giving this company your money will be much more effective at helping you sleep at night than swallowing this entire bottle full of lies

Bought this yesterday from chemist, chemist lady told me she takes it and it's amazing. Sprayed 5 sprays under the tongue, mind was racing, felt sick, felt dizzy and couldn't get to sleep as she intended, finally got to sleep, had the most vivid dream I was in a plane crash, woke up and found it hard to get to sleep again. Crazy night sleep, now I have to go to work. Will not be having any tonight thays for sure. Seems fake to me. Annoyed I payed money for this crap.

How does this make it to the shelves. Should be illegal to brand water and flavouring as a sleeping aid.

published

Absolutely no sleeping effect, drove me to drink, as well as got prescribed actual sleeping pills by the doctor as I thought I had melatonin.
Fake product, I honestly don't know how a product like this can be approved for sale when actual melatonin, which works fantasticly for me, requires a prescription! Bioglan are obviously misrepresentating this product due to the laws. Caused me multiple weeks of lack of sleep, stressed home and work relationships as well as higher alcohol consumption and unnecessary consumption of addictive sleeping pills trying to get to sleep before I realised I had been scammed. Bought myself some actual melatonin off the internet and problem was solved in a day.

How much melatonin on each tablet

1 answer
Ken
Ken

None. Melatonin is illegal to supply in Australia without a script. The 6X on the side means that it has been diluted 10^6 times, or 1 particle in a million is Melatonin. In other words, they are selling you a placebo.

exactly how much melatonin is in bioglan's melatonin tablets. Without scie3ntific obfuscation, please.

Ken
Ken

None. At best, melatonin was used in the manufacturing process, and if the claims are to be believed, diluted out to one part in a million. No therapeutic dose remaining. If there was, it would be illegal to supply without a prescription in Australia.
