Brand new intermittent leak through soap dispenser which will eventually rust machine
brand new kogan washing machine bought on the premise it gets to you 2-3 days leaves warehouse delivery 7 days would have bough elsewhere as needed in hurry, Machine intermittently leaks through soap dispenser wetting front machine and water over floor when contacting Dick Smith online they send possible reasons why, not really helpful as we have to take photos etc etc to send to them so they can assess no phone number to contact to explain so all the work at our end. Suffice to say online shopping doesnt beat bricks and mortar stores for me.

Freedom for my Dog.
This product is the only one for my dog to go in and out without it coming down. Strips for frame are the best.Keeps the bugs out aswell whilst getting the breeze.

Extremely poor customer service online making returns extremely difficult!
Purchased an item prior to Christmas as a gift and had to return it as it appears to be faulty and does not do as advertised. I am still trying to have the return processed since contacting them on the 25/12. Four weeks later, I’m no closer to having it finalised. Only method of contacting them is via email which gets you no where. Worst online experience ever for myself.

Poor Online Market Platform
I have purchased a HDMI splitter which was dead on arrival. I have contacted customer service requesting return address in order to obtain a refund. This process has been going on for more than two (2) weeks with no sign of assistance from platform regulator, which is Dick Smith their selves.
My recommendation is to make your purchase elsewhere like Amazon, eBay, Aliexpress, or even their mother company: Kogan.com.
UPDATE: The return and refund process has been completed. The process with seller was extremely slow. Most likely due to soft measurement from the platform itself.

Brace yourself for the email spam
The "new" Dick Smith is just a reskinned version of Kogan. This means they will actively punish you for being a customer by signing you up for various kinds of spam, categorised into different kinds of email communications so if you unsubscribe from one you'll keep getting others.
Also, when I had to return a faulty hard drive (which turned out to have been shipped by a third party seller via Dick Smith), the third party seller's customer support rep seemed to be on drugs or something. He sent me an irrelevant email with a *different* custome...

My product still hasn't arrived
Purchased a TV over 2 weeks ago and I have been tracking the order which says it has been dispatched. I have contacted Allied Express with the tracking number and they are referring me back to Dick Smith as they have not yet booked it in to be collected BUT it says dispatched!!! I have sent 3 messages to customer service for an up date with still no response. I just want to know where my TV is!! For an on line only service your customer service and responding to e-mail enquiry is very poor and frustrating and concerning when you have spent a lot of money without receiving the item or knowing where it is!!
Dog stroller/bike trailer
Was very disappointed the dog stroller came and was missing parts and on top of that is faulty. The Handel bar does not fit in the trolly part so we have to bend it and cut holes in the material of the carrier so Handel bars of pram can fit in as i cant be bothered waiting to hear back or for replacement very angry as i have a sick dog and still haven't been able to take him out cause pram is sitting on floor hals assembled. Have to find a bolt also that is missing to attach front wheel which was not in the package. I would have expected more from this comapany.

Horrible experience
I wanted to purchase a fan from dick smith. I knew with covid that postage would incur some delays so I purchased express shipping to hopefully counteract this. I am waiting over 1 month, and after contacting the support team to get answers and or refund I was told my order had been lost and that a new one would be sent out. I asked for my money back for the express shipping which was not granted. What used to be a good store has become a unreliable drop-shipping mess and I couldn't express how appalling my experience with dick smith has been and will never use them again.

Worst online shopping in Australia. Avoid at all costs.
It took them 4 AND A HALF MONTHS to deliver my monitor mount. First they messaged me claiming that an 'attempt was made' to deliver my item. I was home all day, had front door OPEN whole day for delivery - no attempt was made. It took 3 MONTHS and countless emails (from me) for them to finally admit that they had lost my item. It took a further MONTH AND A HALF to deliver replacement item. There is NO way to speak to anyone on the phone. Only recorded messages and generic and vague cut and paste email responses. Never again.

Avoid at all costs
Ordered a product which took four times longer than stated, then it failed to work after only one day, have tried to contact them several times so I can return it and get a refund but there is no response, not sure how many more times I have to try to get a response. But overall I have been ripped off and don't seem to have any way of doing anything about it.

Don’t bother - their site is a black hole that leads to nowhere!
Spent half the day trying to purchase an item online. No box to enter my voucher code. No assistance when I contacted them via email. And when I tried to purchase the item, I was unable to complete the payment as it would not accept it through PayPal. Going around in circles!! What a waste of my time! Absolutely hopeless! Don’t bother! Oh and by the way, Kogan are affiliated with this group, so beware and stay clear from the both!

Thought I purchased an IPad gen 9 with wifi and Cellular. I paid $697 when the iPad irises it didn’t have cellular and dick smith claimed I purchased the one without cellular. the same IPad on the Apple store is $499 brand new. And the one with cellular is $699. I’m very unhappy I feel I’ve been ripped off and misled. I lodged i grevence with them but because I opened the box whit is how I found out it didn’t have cellular they won’t take it back. I will not recommend Dick Smith to anyone.

Customer service is crap and accessing account details on website horrid
Tried to access my online account details on the dicksmith website only to be locked out of the site for two hours as the access verification code had already expired! Tried contacting their technical support number, which failed to connect. Tried customer service number and just got a recording telling me to use online services - which would be fine if I could access my account!!
Why do emailed verification codes take over twenty minutes to arrive, and then for the code to have already expired? Poor show.

Happy customer
I have bought a lot of things from Kogan and I have always been very happy with the products I bought. I recently bought a plant stand from Dick Smith and thought it was missing pieces but it had 2 types of styles and I had actually bought the style that did not require those pieces anyway. Thanks for clarifying that for me customer care. I shall continue buying from your website as I am a happy customer.
