I can’t find a replacement brush for my V6 slim, are there any V6 or DC models compatible or with the same brush head with the V6 slim.

I have a DysonV6 and a few days ago I got a new charger it worked perfectly for a day or so and I put it back on charge; however yesterday when I unplugged it it came on straight away without me pressing the button but then it was on constantly even when I press the button; anyway I continue Hoover the bedrooms but still I couldn’t get it to stop. I opened the canister and cleaned But it kept on running so I left it and after 5 mins it stopped and from them it hasn’t worked. There is a constant flashing blue light where the max button is. Is there anything you can suggest please?

I have a dyson v6 26 months old, recently it has been cutting out after very short use, light on the battery flashes blue a few times then goes off. Not using in max mode. When I plug the charger in the light is solid blue but then usually goes off after a short amount of time so I keep unplugging and plugging back in but still doesn’t seem to last long. Not sure if I need a new battery or charging lead please could you help? many thanks.

Maybe contact Dyson, I am just a customer and can only go from my own Experience, we have had it for 7years and had very minor issues listed above.

Why it keeps stopping?

Because the connection between vacuum and the stick becomes wobbly and stops transmitting the electrical signal.

Is it normal for my Dyson v6 to have a blinking blue light while charging?

Thank you for your question.

While charging the light on the machine should be a solid blue, once fully charged the light should go completely off.

My Dyson works fine on normal mode but on Max it cuts out after about 10 seconds. I have cleaned out every filter and disconnected and reconnected the battery, however it still didn’t work properly on Max mode. I contacted Dyson and they believed that it was the recharger, even though it was just out of warranty they sent me a new one, and they were fantastic to deal with. I received the new charger but it didn’t fix the issue. Please help me as I Love my V6 animal but I really need to be able to use the Max mode.

If your Dyson V6 is working well otherwise (i.e. picking up dust and debris) when not in Max mode, and the charger lights up when the machine is plugged in, it would indicate the battery on the machine would need to be replaced. My v6 animal has had a replacement 3.0AH battery which worked fine for a couple of months until it stopped and when it is put on charge the solid blue light comes on but does not ever go out and the unit does not charge.
Is this a charger a battery fault or something else?

The battery is new and fully charged been working fine but wont wont now when pulling the on button. Any help?

Hi Paul,
There are several things you need to check. Ist maybe battery is faulty. Second might be the bin. Bin must be cleaned once full. Lastly, it might be the head. That needs to be cleaned as well. Hope this is helpful for you. Otherwise, just go back to the shop and let them check the battery for you.

An amber light usually means the machine is too hot or too cold to run. We would recommend leaving the machine in a room between 3 degrees celcius and 40 degrees celcius for half an hour before retrying or charging the machine.

Have. Dyson animal 6 not working put a new battery in 6 months ago have cleaned filters taken apart and cleaned looks as new worked for a few months the nothing have repeated process including new battery nothing,,,,

Why doesn't it work properly? We have had one for 6 months now and at first it was great but, even after totally cleaning out, it just doesn't pick fluff and dust up. Very disappointed, will never buy this brand again.

The felt strip on the motor head is peeling off. We tried hot glue to reattach, but it only lasted a day or so. What do you recommend to reattach it?

Why Dyson v6 only goes for seven minutes then stops?

To confirm, your V6 should achieve a run time of 6 minutes on max, or on normal mode, a run time of 16-17 minutes with a motorised floor tool attached, or 20 minutes without.

Standard out of the box, your machine will be on Max mode. To change to normal mode for the longer run time, while the machine is running with your finger on the trigger, press and release the "Max" button on the back of the machine. The "Max" button light will turn off and you will hear the machine change tone to indicate it is now running in normal mode.

Our Dyson v6 animal vacuum is abt 2 yrs old and when supposedly fully charged its runs for abt 1 minute then flat we then charge again for abt 5 mins then it works great any ideas as to why thanks
