Easy start stood out from the rest of the first home buyer building companies, we initially looked at a few different ones and then walked into a display and were greeted by Daniel Lewis ( New homes consultant) His approach very professional and friendly, I would highly recommend going through Daniel if you are looking at a first home build. Our contract administrator Jacqui was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole build. Our building supervisor Alistair was very thorough and supportive through out the building phase.

Seems to be of really good quality. Spoke with the staff on site who were very helpful and explained what they were doing.
Happy with the updates. Kurt and the staff who update the @home portal have kept me well informed.
Customer service has been excellent. Any queries or questions, and i get response in a very timely manner.
From the beginning I have dealt with same people Kurt and Leon, who seem as eager as us that everything goes to plan, which is great because i know they want us to succeed. The site supervisors have bern really good too, letting know who they are, and are encouraged to ask any questions i have.
I wouldn't go anywhere else with my build. Very happy with Summit.

They have been very easy to deal with!

We initially met with Simon Patrick through the reference of a work colleague and wouldn't have one bad thing to say about him. He gave us all the information required in a very quick timeframe.
We then experienced Cerys through the pre-start team and she looked after us very well. Her management of our last minute changes were great!
So far we are 70% of the way through our build and have been amazed with the customer service received via email and through the online portal. Glen has been quick to provide updates and is always available when you need him.
So far we are very happy with this organisation and are looking forward to getting into our new house.

The professionalism that easy start homes put into the build was amazing, I was in melbourne for the entirety of the build. Everything was so easy especially with their online portal.

The block was always clean. Compared to every other block in the street. There were no major hiccups in the build at all. Will definitely build with them again.

    My first home done right

    published

The whole process from start to finish has been a great experience. Had the plans altered to fit my needs and build the first home I had dreamed of. Excellent support through out my build with both of my building supervisors who were willing to go above and beyond to ensure the works were completed to an outstanding finish.

Any issues with minor things have been fixed within a few days of me bringing them up. Would highly recommend anyone looking to build to go with the Summit homes group.

    Excellent customer service

    published

I am only in the early stages of construction, so I cant comment on the quality of the build as yet, but what i can say is they thus far everyone I have dealt with are prompt, efficient and the customer service has been above and beyond what I could have expected. The client administrators have gone out of there way to accommodate me, a first time builder, who has made mistakes in the prestart process. They have been back and forth with me and never once made me feel a nuisance. I even had the sales person helping me at one point, when it was not his area whatsoever.
Efficiant, prompt, freindly, patient customer service
Recommended a poor financial advisor within Westgate but that was rectified and he left the company

    Impressed with build quality

    published

Having built twice before with other builders, I had high expectations for this home. Easystart delivered on everything they said they would. From the very start, right through to after I moved in. I had a few minor maintenance issues, but these were resolved quickly and with no fuss. Nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed seeing the progress of my home during construction and i'm impressed with the finished product. I'm not planning on building again for a while, but if/when I do, I'll be building with Easystart.
Honest, good quality, delivered when they said they would

I am about to build a home with summit. I have chosen to go with timber frame roof structure instead of steel. Is there going to be more cracks appearing over time once the house settles? is steel the preferred option for this ?

Wall cracking can also occur in circumstances where your property has been poorly-designed or constructed. Too much weight on a wall can contribute to wall cracks. Inferior, flawed or faulty building materials or under engineered footing design can also contribute to wall cracks. Timber is subject to rot or wrap if expose to element, like insects and termites. How ever this can be treated and is more cheaper then Steel. Timber is lighter and therefore put less stress on your boundary and internal walls. From a safety point in case of fire most houses reach 700 to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit while burning. Steel weakens in 230 degrees Fahrenheit. Wood however does not ignite until it reaches 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Wood however remain cooler on the inside then the unprotected steel. Hope this answer your question and when it comes to engineering of your complete project rest assure I did my homework first and Summit tick all my boxes.

Thanks for your help. I am going with timber. Hopefully it all works out to a high standard.

    Hi,
Just wondering if low deposit scheme is still available and how it works, or do I need to provide a minimum 5% deposit to purchase a H&L package.
    TIA!
