Bad Staff
The guy wearing the green lantern t-shirt who works for fetch tv at iinet is a jerk who needs to learn respect. He is under the impression that he is someone of importance in a dodgy call centre.

Bad Service
Received a fetch box and account with an internet account. 5 days later and all I get out of it is “incorrect code”, speak to. Internode and all I get is we have advised fetch. Maybe internode need a more reactive partner??

Good Idea. Bad Performance.
Got this through iinet. Various performance issues in first 12 months. After much heartache via South African tech support (who I don't understand half the time), I get shuffled off to Phillipino support center. Apparently the problem is confined to Western Australia server. (Latest problem is streaming issues. Ie screen freezes). They don't seem to give a toss and I am fobbed off whenever I call. Weeks in now and I'm still paying for very poor product. Not for much longer I think!

Disappointed
Really annoyed fetch is removing 13th St and Sci-Fi and not replacing with anything. Seems like a bit of arip-off to me. I won’t be subscribing to channels any more :-(

Paying for something I wasn't given.
We had Fetch tv for four years with lots of hiccups but it didn't bother me too much at first. After about two years we started to have constant streaming issues even though Stan, Netfix and YouTube were all ok at the same time. Renting a movie was a waste of time. We could only watch around 10 minutes worth then it stopped. We had to watch the movie in 10min crements over 48hrs, then you had to either re-rent it at an additional cost or just guess the ending of the movie. I contacted Fetch tv about this and they were not interested so I ended uo cancelling the whole thing. Losing a four year subscriber didn't bother them in the slightest. Poor customer service.

Fetch Mighty compared with Fetch supplied with TB
We recently bought a smart TV with Fetch included in the TV. We found that the Fetch Mighty is far superior to the Freeview Plus. The TV does not record programs. You can only access the iview when the red light flashes. SBS on demand (which we watch regularly) is easier to access but both are more difficult to navigate than the Mighty. If you have to abandon a program half way through, the Mighty will keep the place for when you get back to it. It lets you know which episodes you have already watched and puts the series you are currently...Read more
watching right on the front page of the screen. I thought maybe I just needed to get used a new machine but that is not the problem. We are now going to set up the Fetch Mighty and use the new TV with its beautiful, large screen just as our monitor. There is one negative for the Mighty. I have to concur with the people who complained about loss of internet when all other devices are fine.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Caught by "Month's Subscription Free"
We bought this device just over a month ago to replace our ageing Topfield PVR and don't have any issues with the machine so far that make us regret this change. However we got blind-sided by the offer of a month's free subscription in the newcomer's pack and began recording programs mainly from a couple of the BBC channels (which would normally require a subscription) that we planned on watching later on when the ratings season ends. This lead to us using more than our download allowance and having to buy extra data, which we did in what we ...Read more
thought was a good cause. Imagine our surprise and annoyance when we checked the recordings to find that all these shows we were expecting to see required a subscription to watch them! We wasted money and bandwith on a month's free subscription that wasn't at all free and a subsequent email to Fetch TV bought forth the explanation that said "Thanks for your email, our viewing rights agreements with our channel partners do require you to be subscribed to channels that you have made recordings of." and a suggestion that we should have enjoyed our recorded content as part of our Welcome Pack! I have since asked for an explanation of the point of having a Free subscription that doesn't provide anything for free? Knowing that reviews for Fetch TV in any form all heavily criticise the company for poor customer service I don't expect any sensible reply and would only rate this product zero if at all possible.Purchased in October 2021 at Bing Lee for $449.00.

Take Channels off air when they like
I bought Fetch for the channels they have and have just resigned for another two years. Now I see that at the end of December they are taking 3 channels away without any consultation. They have done it before and its not right. Least with Foxtel you get to keep the channels you pay for. Stay away

Give this product a big MISS!!!
Stuck on the 'Activate' page since Friday as FETCH has been unable to activate new customer's FETCH boxes for five days. There's no knowing when this facility will be available again and I've been advised it could be many more days yet before they resolve the problem. (And they've taken my money already??? Please!!)

Great when it works. Too many problems. Exasperating.
Apart from all the Internet dropouts (when everything else in the house is OK), we now have the problem where the remote is not obeyed immediately and sometimes takes 2-3 minutes to do so. In the meantime, fast forward is still FastForwarding to the end of your program and you cannot stop it. No, it is not the remote itself as we have two and the Fetch box blinks when the remote is pressed so it knows alright, it just won't do it in a timely fashion. Sometimes several remote commands are stacked and they all happen at the same time.
I have done...Read more

Great Product
I bought the Fetch TV Mighty as a replacement for Foxtel. It does everything I expected it to do, allows me to time shift free to air programs with great reliability and features. Very easy to set up and use, it even made my Google Chromecast obsolete as it allows to connect to Netflix and YouTube, among other services. Great value for Money.

Best on the market
Love my Fetch Mighty since I switched from Foxtel. Costing me half the price. However first two months were disastrous with constant freezing and pixelating issues. Then one day I decided to fix my 20 year old antenna connection and voila. No more issues ever since, it's been two years now. Apparently there is a tuner technical sensitivity that requires perfect tv signal.

a rip off
Read the reviews before wasting your money. Can't get ABC stations, reset, reset, reset, loose all your saved recordings.
Other reviews say the same, no help from Optus or anyone.
Forget it.

No stars if I could!!!! I don't recommend this
I don't like it, it's a rip off. Better to go with Optus or telstra No stars if I could!!!! I don't recommend it at all, it's a total rip. I can't tell you how many fetch box's we've had, it's ridiculous. Problems everywhere and it's so expensive, when you have a problem they usually can't help and have to send you a new box, so if you like no TV for days on end waiting for your expensive new one to arrive I don't recommend this. Save yourself the money and go with a bigger company that can provide tv recording and value. We are switching soon, I can't wait to have something reliable that works.
Purchased for $120.00.

Fetch keeps dropping out! Not an internet issue.
Fetch kept dropping out! I searched all of the Fetch sites and it seems that fault isnt listed. I returned the Fetch Mighty and received a replacement and then it all started again! Checks I have done are, I have turned it off and on again, I have done a soft reset, Internet connection is strong as is all other diagnostic tests. Absolutely no help to be found.

unsupported (try find support) plagued with issues (we have fantastic NBN and EVERY OTHER PRODUCT WORKS) however Fetch doesn't. Unfortunately we paid a fortune just for the privilege of Fetch but I would prefer Foxtel! With Foxtel you speak to another country but at least I am getting issues resolved.Purchased in September 2021 at Harvey Norman.

Great concept but has bugs, some HMI issues and terrible support
I love my Fetch TV service. Best all-round access to a variety of streaming services, per-show rentals and purchase, and free to air.
BUT:
1) support for people who buy their box from a retailer is terrible, with no means of accessing any help if you are locked out of your box, or can’t get your account login to work, or want to ask about a problem that is not covered in online support page. EG if you are sick of the fact that forward/rewind don’t work properly, especially with subtitles on. Absolutely no means of help. I am motivated to wri...Read more
te this review today after a friend rang and can’t get into his account or into his box activation. He is stuck. Perhaps the message is to buy Fetch TV only through your ISP but then you are stuck if you change ISPs. 2) Some functionality is poorly executed, as above. Fetch are slow to fix issues and do not keep customers aware of bugs, issues or progress. 3) There is no Spotify app, and no means of pushing for one or knowing whether Fetch will ever address this.Purchased at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances.

Fetch box locked in to you Service Provider
Fetch mighty works well and the few times we've had to reset has not caused us any significant issues. My ISSUE is about how you have to purchase the Fetch box. Its locked in to you ISP (Optus, iiNet, etc)! This is awful, basically if your ISP is poor and you have to change to a different provider, you then have to throw away your $400 Fetch mighty and buy a new one. WHY, Why, Why has the government not stepped in and fixed this. They fixed it for mobile phones.
Purchased at Service Provider for $400.00.

FETCH MIGHTY - great to say the least
Left Telstra after 20 years and the stupid T Box which only had a 260 g recording capacity. Telstra were very poor customer support in the last five years so gave them the flick.
Went to Optus and the best thing we have ever done with the FETCH MIGHTY. Wanted the Fetch or get off the NBN. Have had it over 2 years, with no trouble at all. Heavy duty piece of recording equip. 1 Tb recording capacity. Did not take much getting used to, except unlike the T BOX, it does not break down. Can record 3 as I watch another. Download movies are so ...Read more

Fetch TV box
We love our Fetch box! It is capable of recording free to air channels and also able to use the Catch Up feature so you can watch your favourite Pay TV shows. The remote is super easy to use and can be used as a dual remote with the TV so you only ever need one remote. You can pause live channels and replay shows that have already started. We have had the box for 2 years now and never had a fault with it.

I’d suggest the remote control is stuffed. They’re a pretty average device at best. We bought a new one off eBay.
