Will NEVER buy from them again. I ordered on the 26th of august and received the items on the 14th of September... WHAT A JOKE!
I bought the same order from Dan Murphy's today, it was delivered within 2hours by Jimmy Brings and it was cheaper too. Not sure how you guys will stay in business.
I have been waiting for 14 days for delivery. Called and waited on the phone for over 20 minutes and they said they would look in to it. They have not responded 2 days later. I cannot track the delivery as that stopped 11 days ago and therefore according to that the liquor has been in transit for 11 days.
I emailed and got the automatic response and nothing else.
I can understand that deliveries may be slow and or-disrupted, but no feedback and no customer service is totally unacceptable.

Placed an order for 1 doz red wine on August 20 (= 3-1/2 weeks ago!). 6 arrived 11 days later. Another two weeks have passed and I'm still waiting on the other 6... Emailed First Choice twice - NO response. Phoned customer (non-)service and sat in a queue for 22 mins. "They will look into it". First and last Choice Liquor company for me!!!

I ordered a gift for my Dad for Father's day and received an email 30/8 saying to be delivered by 2/9. My Gift still hasn't been delivered and today is the 11/9. I can't track my order as it says it's to be delivered estimated date 3/9. I called and it was an hour wait time. I then called again in the week with a one minute wait time . I was on hold waiting for over 20 minutes. I was told my order was to be delivered on Wednesday today is Saturday. I will not purchase from them again.

I paid for an order online on the 23 Aug. and they only “processed” on 3 September, which up to this date the 10th September is still in transit! That is just purely unacceptable how it took 10 days to despatch 3 bottles of spirits. Worst of all it is coming from a local store 22km away from my place and surprisingly Australia Post is not the problem at all. I have placed an order from another liquor shop and it arrived after 4 days.

I opened a bottle of white wine that I had bought some weeks ago but it was off - smelly and fizzy. I returned it to the First Choice where I had bought it, expecting to be given a replacement. The sales person was rude and when I said that I didn't have a receipt, he said "Well anyone could just come in and say that." He then proceeded to discuss me with two other sales people who were unaware I was behind them. "Where is she?" one of them said. "Here!" I replied. I shop frequently at this First Choice store and have never encountered service like this.
I ordered 2 cartons of beer 26/08/2021 paid immediately. First choice liquor store is 15 min 11km away .on the 02/09/2021 I phoned them about the situation with a delay of 1 hour to be spoken to after getting no answers and a lot of frustration from me I was rudely spoken to by some idiot.i have then waited another week till 10/09/2021 .I rang them again and was told they had the beer in stock and it had still not been picked up by the couriers. The staff they have answering your enquires are unable or to stupid to sort the problems out .amazin...

Ordered a case of wine three weeks ago I’m in nsw just got a shipping notice coming from Western Australia so by the time it gets here will be a month how on gods earth does it take 3 weeks to pack and ship and why is it not coming from a store in nsw will,never ever order from them again
Ordered thinking it would come from local store. Now find out it's Melbourne...7days after purchase and Btw missed Father's Day for my Dad..I just received an email. Looks like reading these reviews it's my first and last time...I could have got local to deliver next day. This is going to be way over 2weeks.
Rediculas in 2021 they cant work this out. Customers who are thinking of ordering Don't...slow unreliable and not worth your time chasing it up.

I usually order at Dan Murphy's but thought I'd give Ist Choice Liquor a try as they stock a few wines I can't get from Dan's. Bad mistake! Placed my order on Sunday August 29th and still waiting! Turns out I have another week or more to wait. If I had have known that they use Aust. Post to deliver I would never have ordered from there. If you're thinking of ordering from here - DON'T!!

Don't get sucked in by their slightly lower prices. Their logistics are obviously terrible and their customer service non-existent. When you send them follow up emails trying to ascertain if you'll be getting your delivery some time in 2021, you get an automated response that states they'll "do their best" to get back to you "as soon as possible". Could they get any more impersonal and vague. And do they get back to you? You guessed it - nope!

Orders ship from Victoria via AusPost, even if you live interstate.
Shipping time is criminal. Currently at 13 working days an counting... And since my order is still in Sydney as of this morning, I won't see it until next week. That's three weekends. I'm so annoyed at myself for trying their online order system. Absolutely ridiculous. I could have ordered click and collect and had it the next day.
Emailed them three days ago and still haven't heard from them. Customer service is non-existent.

Dan Murphy’s is usually my booze retailer however I thought I’d give First Choice a go. Huge mistake. They use Australia Post to deliver which may be part of the problems but now nearly 2 weeks and still no product. They need a huge management overhaul

I placed an order Sunday 21st august for delivery of Friday 27th at the latest. It was a gift for someone during lockdown. Received the email it had been collected and would be delivered within two days. The website stipulates expected delays for NSW, nothing about delays in Victoria.
Package has still not been delivered. I called the customer service line to enquire where the package was and when it would be delivered and was told by Vanessa “the consignment has been logged what ever that means” and if I was unhappy she could request a retur...
Read moren to sender and process a refund once it returned, but no one else (who might have actually understood the process better ie what a consignment actually is) was available to speak to. I followed up with an email asking to be called and no one has called. Absolutely poor customer service and I still haven’t received my delivery. I’ll never order again.- 8 reviews

I just bought $170 worth of wine and spirits online from the Sunbury store (pick-up). I've ordered there plenty of times before. For context, I do not drive but I have a form of govt-issued ID with personal details and clear photo. I am also several decades older than 18. FC requires 'photo ID' and I have used this in the past without issue. Today I encountered a jobsworth who questioned this form of ID and told me it was not valid. I said I had used it before many times and he wanted to know the names of the staff members who had accepted it. ...

He showed me the forms of ID required for proof of age (not pickup) and explained that I should not even be in the store without ID. Eventually, after I had shown the order receipt on my iPad I was allowed to pick up my order. The experience left me flustered and humiliated. I'll be going over the road to the competitor next time! And, for context, none of the information on the FC webpage or in the message sent to me for pickup specifies type of ID - it simply says 'photo ID' - which I have.Ordered a gift 10 days ago to be delivered in NSW. I called twice to chase it up as I have received no follow up on delivery or status updates. I get that NSW is in lockdown. As at today, staff cannot tell me when the order will be delivered citing inability to talk to their own warehouse and get information. I have been a loyal Coles/liquorland/first choice customer for years, not anymore! Order cancelled!

Ordered and now 8 days later after receiving email on day of order that it was on its way. They split my order into 3 packages, the first two were "delivered" to reception at an aged care home, not to the legally blind 85 yo recipient. I’m none the wiser as to when the third will be delivered!! Not good enough so wont be using First Choice again, and the 1300 number gets charged for use to contact customer service, or snail mail option, no online contact option.

Ordered and now 5 days later after receiving email on day of order that it was on its way. Tracking number is useless as there is no further detail and after calling both First Choice and Aust Post I’m none the wiser as to when it will appear on tracking or delivery!! Not good enough so wont be using First Choice again, sorry to local Wecker Rd store where I usually do click and collect with excellent service. Sort Your delivery service out.
ps I notice from ratings I’m not alone!!

Standard delivery 2-5 days? My order hadn't even been picked in this time frame. When eta was for the 16th a staff member assured me that would be worst case now 14 days later and still nothing.
There updates are very misleading, after placing my order on the 9th august I received a message on the 14th saying booked for delivery. So was expecting delivery within a day or two, but no this just means the order has only just been packed and booked in with post, this process took another 4-5 days now been out for delivery with no other update for another 4 days.
If you don't have the resources too offer a delivery service in a reasonable time frame.
DONT OFFER A DELIVERY SERVICE!!!!!
Order placed on 9/8/21 expected delivery 2 to 5 days,order not despatched till 17/8/21 order still not delivered 20/8/21, I must admit it had to cross no borders,go through no lockdown zones but did have to go 30 kilometers,What a fantastic effort.,and their answer because of Covid and Australia Post.They simply dont give a rats

Order placed on 9 August.
Received a notification on 15 August stating the order has been shipped.
Currently 18 August. No idea where the order is. The tracking info says "in transit" without providing a delivery date.
So currently it's been 10 days since my order. 8 business days. Still waiting.
I have had a previous bad experience with wanting for a delivery. But thought I would try again to see if it was a once off. Apparently not.
I order through BWS - same day delivery. But they don't have this type of gin that I wanted.
Will not ever order First Choice again. Would prefer to keep my money and go without.

Ordered 22nd July with estimated delivery by 29th July. Received receipt but no delivery details. On 30th had an sms conversation with someone from the parent company. Few hours later I finally get the "Your Order is on its way" email. So it seems my order wasn't even processed until I contacted them :(
Facts are as follows I’m in my 50,s went to store with a list of items to buy. Walked in checked in COVID wearing face mask. Passed trolleys thinking there would be some inside. Find first and second item go to get assistance for location of cold cartons of beer. He goes straight to my son and asked for ID. As I gave one of the items to carry, he then tells me he won’t serve me as he thinks I am buying for him. I explain I have no trolley I can’t get a trolley without exiting the store I can’t carry everything. But no he will not serve me.

But since when does the bottle shop attendant get to decided who I am buying for. Finally after him trying to tell me it is law! It is not it is company policy big difference. Live in Sydney, 800m from a First Choice store, but trying to do the right thing during lockdown, so ordered online Sunday 18JUL21 and selected home delivery via standard courier service. Couple of cases of beer + 1 liqueur, nothing exciting. Quickly received confirmation of order received and then, following day Monday 19JUL21, the Shippit email confirmation that the order had shipped...from First Choice's Jandakot store in, you guessed it, Perth. 3,965 klms away from my house. Anyway, 9 days later goods arrived. Ordered the same goods, on the same day via Dan Murphy's and goods shipped from Sydney store and arrived Wednesday 21JUL21. I know who I'll be using again next time.
Don't know why they offer a delivery service the first time I tried using them I got a message at the last minute saying that it had been cancelled so I tried with another order where the money came out straight away but the order wasn't even placed for another week because I phoned up to see where it was and then still didn't receive it a week later due to Australia post saying no one was in when we where waiting for it to arrive so to pick it up from the local post office if I wanted to pick it up myself I wouldn't have ordered delivery in the first place will never use this service again as there is no point
