Terrible customer service and missing items
I paid for 6 dining chairs from freedom and was told i could pick them up until the 10th of April. When I went to pick them up there was no one there. I have tried numerous ways of contacting freedom but have yet to receive any communication from them. I would not recommend buying from them, they have the worst customer service I have come across. COVID does not stop you from being able to email your customers!!!

Dining chairs. Whole process disappointing, and unresolved.
Ordered dining table and chairs in store in November (cannot order online for cheaper price in Tasmania). Table in stock. Chairs to arrive in 2 weeks but did not until mid-January, well past due date. 5 of 6 chairs were defective, so went to store to organise exchange or refund. Told to do this online, as they could not do it in store (which is crazy given that you cannot purchase online). They Insisted that it is a warrantee claim despite goods arriving defective. After submitting claim, was given notice that refund was an option and instructed to contact store to organise. Store picked up chairs but did not issue refund (~$800) before ‘temporarily closing’. No one will answer phone calls. No redirect to head office.

Appalling service
Ordered two chairs three months ago, contacted store 4 times and every time told someone would call me with delivery details but then absolute silence. Excuse given every time was “the person following up is on leave”. I would not recommend anyone buy from Freedom at the moment.

5 month wait for a lounge
I ordered a lounge from freedom four months ago and I'm still waiting (they said it would be ready in 10 weeks). They cant provide any detail about where it is or when it will arrive to the sydney warehouse, let alone its final destination Tasmania. The most frustrating thing is the wait is indefinate. Could still be another month? No one can provide any info about when the computer system will be fixed, its already been down for 3 weeks. Terrible customer service, total rip off. Would never purchase items here again and would advise others to completely avoid them.

Six years old and out
Great looking lounge and comfortable for several years until springs start to dislocate in seat cushion and dig into your legs and thighs. As its out of warranty and I was going to throw it out I opened the cushions up with a Stanley knife to see what the problem was and have a look how its made . Lots of small loose springs popping out wrapped in paper under a thin layer of foam No chance of removing the cushions as they are sewn into the whole lounge so the whole lounge has to go to the tip.

Freedom Hobart in-house decorator
It’s been a complete joy to work with Elenora the in-house decorator at Hobart Freedom. She has taken my ideas and worked in partnership with me to take them beyond what I envisaged. Contrary to my fears she has been happy to work around existing furniture pieces and be guided by my desired outcomes. I’ve just started my third project with her and can’t wait to see the finished look!

Grumpy delivery staff a real turnoff
Been a fan of Freedom items snd service over the years having lived in major cities and remote regions and alwsys impressed with delivery service. Having just moved to Hobart bought 2 sofas eagerly awaited delivery. Driver and offsider complained from arrival to departure. We are on a gentle slope and have 13 steps down from garage level. re reluctantly put on one but could not be found for the other. This became my problem of course and store staff to their credit were fantastic. I found the delivery a turnoff and my love affair with Freedom has come to an end.3 comments

Totally Frustrated with after service - non existent
Purchased two months ago 2 leather seats, which after only 2-3 weeks began to fade noticeably. Lodged the claim immediately only to find since after three follow up emails with Freedom's response "someone will be in contact in 3-5 business days", still no response. This is very frustrating and poor customer service, with the store not being able to resolve the issue without the Head Office. Worth noting the store has done all they can. If I had read these reviews prior to purchasing the furniture I would have looked elsewhere.

Don’t believe their delivery times
We bought some furniture on 1 Feb after paying a substantial deposit. We were told verbally (and on the invoice) the furniture would be delivered within 6 weeks. It’s now been around 14 weeks and still no furniture, no calls to provide an update and no response to our 2 emails.
A disgraceful company and we’ll be taking this further.

Great shopping experience!!
Purchased in store and was assisted by very professional staff who had a excellent customer service skills. The purchasing process was efficient and very streamlined with no issues. The staff appeared to work well as a team and were committed to providing a very positive experience.

Doze Sofa - crap product
Bought in store, staff were great.
The Sofa on the other hand is crap.
Cheap material. Already fixed once because a child had slumped down and broke a slat and now the bolts are literally falling out of it.
I bought from Freedom in trust I'd be buying a quality product but it is made of cheap pine with knots throughout.
I see now they've been marked down. Probably because they're aware of how crap they are!

Helen's our hero!!
So we knew we needed to buy a few new beds over these coming months and had a vague idea of what we were after. Then Helen in the Hobart store arrived on the scene, she was AWESOME!!! She helped us suss out exactly what we needed and then sorted all the extra bits out too - efficient, knowledgable and just the right bit of wicked humour to go with it. I normally dread significant purchases, but this was easy and fun!

Service beyond Expectations
We desperately needed a new and smaller sofa quickly as we had recently downsized. The staff went out of their way to help us locate the exact perfect piece of furniture for us to enjoy and be proud to display in our new home . Everyone at Freedom were exceptionally helpful and after a big interstate move and lifestyle change we were extremely thankful. We really do love our Freedom sofa !
